Both odd and very annoying. Perhaps when the drama ends those who are willing to take the time to write a serious review will raise the rating to where it belongs.

Actually, in her other dramas, her younger male co-stars always raise their performance level and credit her for it.

I suspect the director has a lot to do with the casting of Go Hyun-jung.

She seems to be the go-to actress to play these meaty roles. (No pun intended.) I first checked her out when Jang Nara expressed great admiration for her in an interview. Since then, I've managed to find DVDs of even her earliest roles. No, I won't watch Mantis until all 8 eps are available, but I've seen enough clips on YouTube to know that all of the talking to herself that she does between camera setups is in aid of producing that magnificent performance.

So, basically, the billionaire son needed a tall, lively, Miss Korea beauty contest runner up and successful young actress to be his trophy wife, and after she gave up her career and gave birth to two healthy kids for the family, he took the kids and threw her away.

She has health issues. She spent 1-2 weeks in the hospital in the middle of filming.

I take k-drama seriously. It's a form of entertainment that has a lot to say about life choices, human nature, soul-destroying societal pressures, but also, how regardless of your background, if you work hard and have a talent for something (anything really), you can have a fulfilling life, etc. It seems to me like the most significant and effective form of communicating the Korean ideology of "soft power," and I love it.

Admit it, you're a friend of her toxic ex-husband.

SBS should start engraving Go's Baeksang award.

Note: Mephisto hated this drama and Go Hyun-jung before the 1st episode had even aired. He came to this site to dissuade people from watching it.

I'm still thinking about this drama as well, and the scene in which Go's fury manifests in her smashing her red, designer bag and the way she pauses briefly before unleashing another wave of fury. That's the magic of Go.

Go is the queen of multi-dimensional characters. When she's in a scene I feel compelled to analyze every twitch of her eyebrows and why is she smiling like that and, etc. And I've heard that the camera people on her dramas are dedicated to capturing every move she makes. She's the best there is.

That's depressing.

And those other ratings are the ones currently influencing visitors to this site to not bother watching it.

Opinion: MDL should turn off ratings until all episodes of a drama have been made available for viewing.

Maybe those giving it low ratings will perk up if Jang Dong-yoon has some kissing scenes in later eps.

For that reason, I've begun to only rate the dramas that I've watched from start to finish and that IMO deserve a 10.
