The intelligence level of the side characters in this drama 🤣🤣. I was surprised when people around her thought it to be true and natural, I mean she was even famous for her mark and her empress fate ....to the point where I thought that it might even be true, like a flower shaped birthmark. But I knew I was right all along. 🫣🤣

But she didn't try to discuss or even reason with him. She explained the truth to him , then said she can't fully trust him, then gave him two options, one which includes kowtowing to her and thanking her (basically saying goodbye for the last time) . That's an ultimatum, choose our side and I will continue to adore you but keep you away from power or choose power and say thank you and go. The scene after that is touching though, I am glad WY made this choice (or at least appears to for now)
It's fun in the begining, draggy in the middle but has a happy ending and the cutest special episode at the end.
It's more than okay in the beginning, lots of fun and cute interactions. Maybe it will benefit from a binge rather than chasing. Those of us of who were chasing had to exercise a lot of patience during the draggy parts lol. But it's worth checking out at least once.

I don't know man, the entire handling of this situation in the drama, plot, script, acting and directing wise, is so ham handed. Both WS and the grandmother take questionable decisions, almost like they want to drive him away even though that's clearly not supposed to be their intentions. The conversation in the beginning of ep 16 just about made me pull my hair out. And then she is surprised when he calls her bluff lol.

It's like, in the beginning, he doesn't care for her good opinion and is open and Frank about his true self and thoughts. As time goes by he gets used to being his true self with her, exposing his innermost thoughts, feelings and vulnerability to her alone. That's why he is comfortable getting into arguments and showdowns with her.
Okay I have a theory. I think the extra episode was not a part of the original plan. Because both HYX and LXY seem so much freer, closer and with tons more chemistry than they did for the rest of the drama. For the rest of the drama they have to act in a certain limited way owing to the reshoot constraints. It has to fit exactly how they've done it before. But with the extra, they're free to interpret it anyhow. Just their eye contact and smiles is enough to give me a truckload of butterflies (let alone the kiss OMG) 🙈🙈

I don't know , I think he felt more betrayed by the Weis. He wasn't treated well over there supposedly. Plus his grandmother and even the ML and FL knew about his origin but didn't tell him, he had to learn it from elsewhere. That's why says to the FL , you know it too. Plus he has spent his childhood over there and is very close to his grandmother and WS. I think being that close would make it hurt more .
Agreed. It leaves me confused and dissatisfied sometimes how the actor and director are handling the character.
Yes I also struggled with her lack of micro expressions and breathy dialogue delivery in the beginning. I was so confused because she seemed very wooden to me in comparison to other actors in the same scene. I was especially surprised since the actress gets many praises for her acting and this is the first drama of hers that I'm watching. It doesn't help that there are inconsistencies at the script level as well. I have decided not to overthink about it and just enjoy the sweet moments. Even that becomes a problem some time, like the latest episode which has a scene where she calls him an endearment....that whole scene could have been so much better 🙈 the ML's reaction is cute but hers is a bit jarring and incomplete, especially when she turns after collecting the letter from the table. I was not completely satisfied with that sweet moment, I'll admit.
