What I hated about MW's mom also is that she had her doubts about her daughter's pregnancy for days and even if she didn't she could've given her the medicine afterwards as well. But she purposefully chose the day of the trial to carry it out which prevented MW from going to the trial and speaking in favour of RL. If she had gone, then the other girl Ms. Guo also would've had the courage to speak up and it would've made RL's case stronger.

Her official account nor her company have made any official statement refuting that accusation so it's a bit doubtful whether she is completely in the clear. However, official body which looks into tax evasion cases like these have also not made any public statement as they normally do (as they did in Deng Lun's case and most recently in Crystal Yuan's case) so it's still unclear what's the verdict. I like the juxtaposition of everything unraveling and devolving in the past (7 years ago) versus everything slowly starting to come together and building towards justice in the present (7 years later) . It makes for a thrilling and emotional rollercoaster ride. I wish I'd started this drama after it had finished airing, the storytelling would've shined more in a marathon.

Actually, I was a bit surprised by RL's parents initially. They supported her for longer than I would've thought. The society of that time was much different from today and in those days, a woman's reputation was everything. The fact that their daughter lost her reputation by taking such a bold step against the culprit, I actually thought her parents would nip it in the bud and force her to marry WL in the first instance. But they were a firm support behind her till she was "disproved" In court due to trickery. I thought that was quite a fresh take on parents in ancient China

True but I think LSS will outshine LYN in that one, hope that's not the case though, let's see how everything turns out.

I think this drama doesn't have a lot of budget for its promotion. I think they spent their money in all the right places like the script, casting, styling and cinematography...leaving them very little for promotion, it's promotion and publicity is all over the place tbh.
