This sounds interesting and I'm always up for a Lee Gi Kwang drama, I bet a platform will snatch this up after the boost he's getting from being the handsome but sadly not fated with the FL, as the SML in Marry My Husband
The ML has incredible patience with his leading lady...and I was like how on earth is that possible, until I remembered it's a virtual game and he and she have different objectives in the game, makes more sense then.
Right? I wonder if the ML's other drama had a wedding and that's why they skipped it in this one?
yeah, but occasionally if they are filming two dramas back to back like this and the actor mentions that they did xy or z in the previous drama final episode, the writer or director won't want to repeat it in their drama and so they'll cut it out. Happens from time to time, especially if they dramas are going to air really close together.
I wish they had not brought in the Witch in White so late in the show and had her take up a few episodes, I think that time could have been spent bringing down Deng Ming instead.
They could have come up with another reason to make YaoYao strike out on her own without using the very unnecessary and toxic college classmate with a decade long one-sided love as a plot moving device.
Having the Witch take up 2 or 3 episodes meant that the writer had to use the very last episode to FINALLY deal with that POS who should have been publicly outed as a scumbag rapist abuser a long time ago.
I would have rather we had the last episode deal with the two leads reconciling towards marriage, maybe have a nice formal proposal or even could have gone the funny route of him writing out a formal contract with him basically giving her everything if she'd agree to marry him and having it sent certified mail or something...idk. I would have just prefered more romance in the last episode and less focus on a swine of a character.
Very slow burn and the ML is controlling, jealous, and manipulative. He says things like "I'll support you whatever decision you make" and then the next episode he's like "you can't talk to males alone" even though it's perfectly normal to have conversations with male acquaintances. He's too insecure and uses a lot of tactics to control her. Plus their first kiss was super nonconsensual, he had one hand behind her head and the other holding her chin in a death grip, pinned her against a wall so she couldn't duck out or dodge it, and then jammed his lips aggressively against hers....all this before they were actually in a relationship too. This drama definitely deserves a 6 not an 8
This really is one of the most realistic portrayals of young love. The cast starts out as high school seniors, meet each other, make fun memories, then some slip away as the rest head off to college. There are new friends, new loves, breakups, makeups, all while life continues advancing around them. This isn't like a lot of romcoms where they just get together and the end, this is a long journey to grow and mature and eventually find their perfect partner. Some who get together don't make it til the end and some surprise pairings happen along the way. Really felt like we were watching a slice of life, wish we would have gotten a little tiny bit more of the happy ending for the main leads, but honestly was a pretty darn good drama 9/10
Not even one day ago I said I was tired of time travel, and then here comes this on my recommended page...and well, I'm in line to see this when it drops! 😂😂😂 I'm invested just from the synopsis.
Wow, thanks for the warning. That sounds like an absolute train wreck.
I even went back and tried to watch more so I could give it the best shot and it just never got better, the writing and acting was just so terrible. I honestly don't know how it got produced.
Checking back in again, as far as I can tell none of the main cast has been canceled, so idk why this drama got permanently shelved. I really wanted to watch it.
I'm rewatching You Are My Hero and honestly every time I watch one of his projects I end up having to try and keep myself from bingeing all his work! He's so awesome and I'm eagerly waiting for his next project.
don't be concerned about him not having more projects, i promise he is super well-known in china and does not…
I'd prefer he keeps taking his time, picking the best projects and recovering properly in between...I see too many stars go out like fireworks, his works are always demanding and amazing, he deserves the time to take care of his mind and body in between.
I would totally chose Lusi for his costar in this except that he looks a lot younger than he really is and he's supposed to be conservative/formal/traditional and so I think he'll need a rather young looking FL to give him more of the mature look in the pairing, even though she is 5 years younger IRL than him, he just has such a baby face still and looks the same age as her. I'll be interested to see who ends up as his love match in this one.
