In the last few episodes they brought in plot directions that didn't fit the overall mood of the drama. I would have tightened up the script, focused more on the conclusion of the various couples relationships and the start up of the new company. Probably would have made the show 24-26 episodes max and it would have gotten a higher rating than a 6.5 from me. Honestly one of my least favorite of Miles's works so far....it wasn't horrible, but it did get stretched out and had some unnecessary filler.
Yes, we are on the same page here. Your insights are so sensible. Your wrote the words that I have been in my…
I'm wondering if it got cut and it was supposed to be 28 episode series? I honestly don't know because the final episode didn't feel like a series finale at all.
I hate that the last episode is pretty much eaten up by her mother's stupid storyline. Honestly they never should have brought her into the series, she could have been shown in a few flashbacks but otherwise ignored.
Instead I wanted to see FL in the competition, I wanted to see her and her boyfriend get engaged, I wanted to see her soar...I didn't want to see her having to defend her career choices to a woman who has controlled every facet of her life and drained all the joy out of her.
Up until the final 2 episodes I was thinking of giving this a 7.5 but the way the show just fizzled and wasted the finale, really brought the score down for me.
I have tenscent but this series doesn’t come up when I do a search on the app
You can find it on the Tenscent Video - Minidrama youtube channel, they have a version of the entire series all put into one 2 hour 41 minute long video. :)
I could never root for them to be together, he was too broken and toxic and she was too spineless and naive. They both need a lot of time and therapy before they should even think about another relationship. The thing that most aggravated me is the "wife" never got what was due to her, she even got to inherit the company after all she did????
I also wonder why the public needs to know this...? This is as private as it can get. I could understand if his…
I think it's to explain why he might be unavailable for commercial events and fan meet and greets ect. Their culture highly respects parents/elders and so the death of one is a valid reason for a celebrity to go off social media and events for a period of mourning. Sadly they expect their celebrities to be available practically 24/7 and if they aren't in the hospital, the only other reason they should be unavailable is the death of a family member.
i am going to start , but thanks to this comment i am not starting this
Yeah, I liked love 020 on the first time but when I tried to rewatch it, the FL actress just was too bland and stiff and just the whole drama seemed less than I remembered. I haven't seen King's Avatar, I'll have to put it on my list.
This show dragged on for entirely too long. The editing was confusing, several plot points were used as a flashback but were snipped in as if we just forgot they happened...when we never saw it unfold so we have zero idea wtf they are talking about. I never forgot the marital rape and I never wanted the leads to have a happy ending or to be together.
Mei Lin isn't a common name, I once had a siamese kitty that I adored and that was her name...no one had heard of it, but I loved the way it sounded and I believe it meant Beautiful Jade or Forest? Idk, I just really like that name :)
Ok I’m loving episode 33, but did FL forget that she’s supposedly trained in martial arts? What’s with the…
That has bothered me a lot too. You'd think even if she didn't know it herself, her body would have the muscle memory and she'd be able to protect herself a little.
That was the best bed scene in a historical Chinese drama I seen!! It was short but we got enough. https://www.instagram.com/stories/seppun_bbobbo_wen_kiss_beso/3293795495963410454?utm_source=ig_story_item_share&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==Full…
a LOT more skin that I've seen in a historical cdrama, more than I can remember in any other at least. Was nice to see them whoohoo finally and I like how it went from her being cute and nervous to him taking her in his arms and then all the way to wowza time.
I'm still hoping that somehow our author can be with her beloved in the real world or will get to stay in the novel world...but I've seen too many happy endings lately, I'm probably overdue for a sad one.
I don't understand why this drama has glowing reviews. There was a serious lack of romance, after a soft kind of breakup between the leads, he never really explains or asks forgiveness and somehow they just forget and forgive and are magically back together in the last bit of the last episode.
The toxic people barely get punished. An attempted sexual assault is pretty much glossed over, that bad guy doesn't go to jail, he just disappears from the show. The jealous and manipulative Qiao Xin who destroys the FL's life and work multiple times, suddenly has a change of heart after getting caught and just decides to be a better person. wtf? Barely any consequences for the bad people, but the good people suffered HUGE losses, financially, career wise, as well as personally.
Over all I found myself losing interest in the last 1/3 of the series and had to force myself to keep going to just see if it got any better. I wouldn't give this show any higher than a 6.5 maybe a 7 and I definitely won't be rewatching this. There are a lot better shows in this same genre.
