like i wrote in the last questions. idk the situation of the boycott. i'm aware of the short bromance drama airing for us it's a big deal for sure. it was supposed to air on tencent but ended up airing in another program. a lot of people have many theories about what's going on, some pretty complex to get into but these are theories even if they could be likely it's not conclusive. i do think it's promising that chen feiyu and luo yunxi had hyx added as their upcoming dramas for 2022. so hmmm.
live action dramas adapted from boy love literature a.k.a. danmei 耽美 have a specifc name called dangai 耽改. i bring this up because when you're searching for official info and news from the nrta’s decisions it will likely not be labeled as boy's love which is already considered banned since 2016 but by dangai 耽改 as it's often interpreted as an adaption that depicts bromance or is simply known for it's original source being a gay love story.

is there a boycott and is it still happening? yes, and to the second unsure to be honest. unclear if it’s ended or ongoing still. Is it banned? idk. i haven’t seen that news from any reliable news, translators or c-ent news providers i find trustworthy.

I think the best way to handle this for now is to find which translators have their translations available, some have likely have decided to lock for now until they figure a system to share with others and some likely already have one.
JJWXC (who have the publishing rights to Meatbun's story like HYX) are supposedly going to have an English section of translated danmei stories as a start. I guess they want to collect them coins and it would be cool to see more lesser known works but I'm not sure I can trust them with my money considering how much they lock or remove chapters/stories and the treatment of their writers works.
You might want to start saving your favorite translated danmei works because current translators will likely be weary of JJXWC's terms which are on the messy/confusing side.

january 7th 2022 conference is in regards to nrta 2021 achievements (whatever the hell that means!) and is repeating content and events that happened in the past year. same news being recycled.
