So express today? or tomorrow? Normally express is on Fridays however normally express only releases 5 episodes. So is it tomorrow?

A drama worth watching only if you can't find anything better. It's a good time waster. A solid 7.5 from me.

An okay-ish drama. Started alright but from episode 8 onwards it became more of a predictable drama. It isn't bad but neither is it great.

A solid 8.0 from me.

to tell you the truth there should be a prequel and a sequel as well.

FX is irreplaceable at this point. they've invested too much in him becoming typecast for the role

yup. well I won't entirely blame the cast change but yes the vibe completely changed. The plot, storyline etc... all became a mess. it's unforgivable. tbh I was actually hating it so much ... I felt like I was betrayed.

I think the latter part of the novel sees FX grow older. So ...they're anyways getting older lol.

don't worry. they didn't cut corners for season 2. their pacing is about the same as season 1. if season 4 wasn't on the cards, they would have already started fast pace the drama

nah. I'm pretty sure there's gonna be another season after season 3. cuz the writer doesn't seem to want to change the vibe. they are roughly following the novel. even though they aren't following it to the dot, they are following every major arc so definitely season 4 is on the cards.

Just by going by the novel, the current drama is somewhere around 360+ chapter of the novel. If the drama takes another 170+ chapters for season 3 then there'll probably be a season 4 as well.

the novel btw has 746 chapters so season 3 will probably be 36 episodes and season 4 will be with 38 to 40 episodes depending on the Chinese regulations

Even with some cast changes, the transition from season 1 to season 2 was almost, and I emphasize on the word 'almost' perfect.

It's been around 5 years and I was kinda expecting season 2 to be a little awkward cuz time does change things a lot but thankfully the vibe and the essence were still true to the season 1.

After a disappointing sequel for the Korean sensation Chronicles of Arthadal, I was more or less expecting a somewhat sub par sequel from Joy of Life. However I was wrong and it made me really happy to see this sequel being true to it's core.

Another excellent sequel, even with some characters not being able to make the show. A solid and hard to beat 9.5 from me.

Hmm..just superb. A definite benchmark for historical Cdramas. An excellent 9.0 from me
