This drama is on its way to becoming my all time favorite xianxia, believe it or not. It's that good. The script,…
Li Landi stage-playing "The Flowers of War" scene at "I'm the Actor": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=km21RZcaKQo She's very infectious at emotional department. Even Zhang Ziyi was impressed.
I loved today’s episodes and love this drama but what a few comments:1) I wish she would stop calling him Heartless…
The translation is off. She calls him shaodian (surname) "kong xin". kong xin literally means hollow and in most cases it has no literal nor figurative meaning of being "heartless". For Chinese speakers, kong xin (hollow) sounds very cute/lovely as a nickname. In Chinese "mei xin" (no heart literally) is more often used to mean heartless. As to the "falling into love" part, the theme of the story is very different from that of AOL. It makes much more sense that they fall in love after. I can't say more because it will contain spoilers.
I really don’t want to be mean as I’m not vain but I’m surprised the actor who plays the ML managed to get…
He actually has a very classic/old-fashioned Chinese handsome man look with his facial features very well distributed. not the "idol" type that's popular in today's C-ent though.
IMO he's more fit for realistic dramas and films, not the idol romantic dramas that use a lot of skin-smoothing and filters because they smooth the angle of his face too much and the usage of shadow and lightening in these dramas is bad which can't hihglight well his features.
Did anyone notice that the heavenly empress copied the FL's style and had feet tie on her hair whille talking to the emperor 🤣🤣🤣. Only that she had it on the back so he probably didn't notice it at that moment 🤣🤣🤣
Short Rant: One thing that bothers me about these heavenly palaces in the cdramas I've watched is that they are…
I think characters of the heavenly realm in this drama are quite decent compared to those of other Xianxia dramas (at least in the first 6 episodes aired). The ML's mother even copies the FL's fashion style (using feet tie on her hair), lol, which I've never seen in other Xianxia dramas.
But already I saw people commenting on how there's no power struggle, conflicts and so on for the main couple. So really in those "xianxia" dramas the heavely realm is just the authors' reflection of the human relationships in order to develop dramas and conflicts. It would be very bland if everyone is goody goody.
I think they thought there are enough villians in Void and didnt want to add more, maybe it will be a battle later…
Some major event will happen to the ML around episode 12 (already hinted at the beginning). And I think the major conflicts will not take place in the heaven realm.
Never. China has banned BLs so that means everything Priest has written won't likely see the light of day. I hope…
The administration that's in charge of TV recently changed director. Now they have loosen up. Just a few days ago, two dramas adapted from BL novels have aired (A League of Nobleman and Silent Reading/Justice in the Dark) and more is coming.
We don't know. Originally the author didn't publish the ending. The new edition of the novel with the ending will be published as a book on 18th of this month.
The novel didn't have an ending. The actual ending will be included in the newest edition of the book which will…
It's revealed on the drama's official weibo that the book will be published with an ending (that isn't included before): https://weibo.com/7394379918/MsWRIl4IU But since the book is not published yet, nobody knows the actual ending yet (except those involved). The HE part is just a rumor I read.
