i was readind the novel wasnt second guy hair white in the novel
In his previous life as demon his hair is white. In the drama it's golden strips/highlights or something (at least according to a low-quality reuter photo I saw)
It’s so sad that now people think that for actor, popularity comes first before skills. Well… i think you…
There's usually a delay. So a project that's filming right now has set its main actors probably quite some time ago. I also think the fandom overrate this "CSC project" (except his supervisor title, the director and scriptwriters are all unknown) and Sci-Fi dramas adapted from even big IP like that of Cixin Liu got very low viewership in China, not to mention that the budget is limited for visuals. I think only big Sci-Fi movies are considered good projects.
Zhang is also not that high in actors' list. He got the same billing as Jing Tian with his name put in the second place. Someone with liuliang like Wang Hedi got better project and billing than his (for example, WHD starred as ML in Han Yan's sci-fi movie). As to Daylight's choice, they tend to find balance between someone who can act and has some fans (not necessarily big liuliang, they had success using actors such as Wang Kai), Zhang on paper fits the profile but they overrrated his acting. Like I said, what projects he can get after this remains to be seen because of the delay.
Also some liuliangs are overrated or their data are partly fake. Someone like Deng Wei can't even guarantee that a decent costume drama get good viewership or be be filming with enough budget.
A lot of 正剧 do require that actors have good acting basics. So they try to find a balance between having fans and can act and it's not easy nowadays. So between everything, Zhang is not A-list actors but so do most 95 generation male actors who are still playing MLs.

I agree with you that liuliang (especially in a broader sense) is very necessary. But the failure of this drama (apart from factors beyond the actors) is not Zhang's lack of liuliang, rather he's not ML material for most roles, especially not for this type of big ML role that requires screen presence and charisma from the actor.
He was hospitalized on May 26 after the filming of the cliff scene in Live Long and Prosper. Two days later, someone…
Not only that. He had myocarditis and was in a life/death situation. But some netizens even laughed at the situation and said that his team used it a PR. The news was in fact released by some Douban melon account and was put on Weibo hot search at the middle of the night not knowing by who. And the day after, he published a Weibo post, describing the situation as light as possible (https://weibo.com/2187299437/Pubmk1u0k), but I who know him better, know that it was not so and he already experienced an ICU situation at the age 16.
He's still in hospital now. Hope he'll recover completely soon 🙏
i dont understand why cnetz and paparazzi care about a teenager's personal life. can he live
He was hospitalized on May 26 after the filming of the cliff scene in Live Long and Prosper. Two days later, someone published the paparazzi video which was taken in winter judging by the clothing.
Why did someone choose to release a video of him dating a girl and smoking right when he was in hospital, and a video filmed a few months ago of all? The most likely explanation is that someone wanted to replace him for the role.
And why do they focus so much on his personal life anyway? He is a youngster with big potential and a lot of people see him as competition/threat. Zishan isn't a traffic star and he probably didn't anticipate paparazzi following him. But that's C-Ent nowadays. A lot of fans and people treat actors as idols. Even if you're a good actor and you don't do anything ilegal, still, if you don't act as an idol, it's considered "tafang"(塌房).
I'm thinking about to watch this drama, but I'm not sure yet.Can someone please let me know, what this drama is…
The drama is a psychological crime thriller.
It's about three adolescents (the protagonist, aged 13, is a lonely boy but best in study at school; the other two: a girl aged 10 and an older boy aged 14 have just escaped from an orphanage) who witness a middle-aged man committing murder on his father-in-law and mother-in law.
Instead of calling the police, they somehow decide to blackmail the man for money. The protagonist has a broken family whose father and mother were divorced several years ago. Shortly after the witness of the murder, he got involved in the death of his half-sister (daughter of his father's new family). To hide the truth, he got further involved with the other two kids and the murderer (previously mentioned).
The drama has a very good take on broken families, children development and their relationships with parents, relationship/friendship between children. It's dark but very subtle with fantastic acting.
As I don't know about your drama taste, it's hard to know if it's your type. But it's free on Youtube. You can just try the first episode to see if it's your liking.
So I've created English subtitle for Echo (the sequel of The Bad Kids), which was performed live at the 2021 iQiyi Screaming Night. You can view it at: https://vimeo.com/1034810703/e3054ffd8d?share=copy
This show had a lot to say. Despite the drama plot there was so much real life in this show. The character relationships,…
Which project with Wang Jingchun I'm not aware of? Did you refer to his drama with Zhang Songwen (the actor who played his Dad)? There's also an upcoming movie with Deng Chao that I'm very looking forward to (The Sand Murmurs).
