Title The Bad Kids
In 2021 iQiyi Screaming Night Ceremony, they did a spin-off/sequel stage play of the drama, showing what happened 2 years later. I wonder if there's a subtitled version of it. I want to show it to a friend of mine who doesn't understand Chinese.

The unsubtitled version (The Bad Kids: Echo) can be watched here: http://t.cn/A65zitBW

On In the Name of the Brother May 9, 2024
The last episode revealed the first meeting between Guanxue and Zhuowen. He clearly had a crush on her at first sight.

It's very implicit, but I think Zhuowen has to liking to Guanxue all the time.

What a tragedy.

Major spoilers below! How did we get from the end of 39 to 40? Did Guan Xue surrender? And if so, when was she…
There are like 8 years of gap between EP 39 and EP 40. The 2WW ended in 1945 , then there was a civil war between the KMT and CCP in which the CCP won in 1949.

The drama didn't tell what our FL did in between, but if we follow real historical figure such as Puyi (to whom the FL was loyal to), we'd know that Puyi was captured by the Russian in 1945 and was kept prisoner by them for 5 years. Puyi was returned to China only after the CCP won the civl war in 1950 and then he was kept in the Fushun prison. In EP 40, the FL was kept in the exact place where Puyi was in, which implies that her experience between the year 1945- 1950 was the same.

Since the ML only visited her 2 years later (after she settled in this prison) according to their conversation, so I suppose EP 40 happened in about 8 years after EP 39.

As to when she ordered the kill. One thing has to be cleared is that she ordered to kill Zhuowen, not Zhuowu, but the person killed the wrong one. There are two possibilities: 1. She didn't re-order the kill of Zhuowen, but the follower was so loyal to her and took her old intent of killing Zhuowen to heart and executed it after she was already captured; 2. She ordered the kill after the EP 39 car scene but before she fleeding with Puyi and being captured by the Russian. Personally, I think the first is much more likely. I think after the car scene in EP 39, she gave up on killing Zhuowen but her follower didn't know it and still took her order in heart but mistook Zhuowu for Zhuowen.

Also although Zhuowu did die, I think his death scene is metaphorical or imagined by Zhuowen, not the real scene. It probably means he died when they were almost at victory. The director really likes using various montage techniques and they are sometime quite confusing 😂

On Angels Fall Sometimes Feb 29, 2024
March 9th is officially scheduled by CCTV 8 so it should be set.

The reason why this drama waited for so long to air is that the distributor or the streaming platform want it to be broadcast by CCTV 8 (the most watched satellite channel for dramas) while it's streaming. Not only you sell it for an extra money it's also free publicity for more people to know it. So everyone wants to sell their dramas to CCTV and it's quite a competition. And once it's sold, there are other dramas to be scheduled as well so it takes time. In our drama's case, we've been waiting from last December until now, finally.

Really?? Where did they announce it? I truly hope it's true
sorry but CCTV 8 is going to air a spy drama led by liu xueyi and peng xisoran instead but AFS appears on cctv's 2024 drama list on a comercial expo a few days ago. it's also on tencent' s firefly series which so far include 4 dramas: the plan is to aire one per month so at the latest, our drama should come before February.

It's not official, but the person who said this is usually good at premiere date news.

Also this drama has appeared on CCTV 8's 2023 drama list earlier this year. The drama currently airing on CCTV 8 is As Long As We Are Together and it will finish in two weeks' time and then there's only time for one last drama for this year.

what censorship? Is it a Bl. no right ?
Plot wise, it's actually a pretty simple story which doesn't necessarily require drastic change. It's a novel that conveys a lot through the vibe, the style and the details of characters' interaction more than the story itself, so it's posible to keep the original story while not expressing the same vibe or ideas of the author.

I personally think the novel is perfect 90-minutes indie film material, but it's too simple for a drama unless the scriptwriter adds a lot more to it. Actually the film version of it starring Roy Chiu has just finished filming (https://kisskh.at/756253-na-ge-bu-wei-ren-zhi-de-gu-shi). While we haven't heard from the drama version for quite some time and as far as I know the rumored actor Bai Yu is going to film another drama soon. So it's most likely that he isn't going to take this one.

Person Angelababy
Chinese Actress Angelababy Faces The Consequences After Watching BLACKPINK Lisa’s “Crazy Horse” ShowAnother…
I'm not justifying or judging what the authority did to Angelababy, but I'll try to explain their reasons to you from their perspectives.

1. She did went there. The netizens especially Chinese feminists were angry about that and massreporting her (Irrelevant of western views, the Chinese netizens think her action is against women's rights).

2. Her party made a false statement using a third party saying that she didn't go there after there was proof that she actually went there, which made things worse (In this sense it's similar to what happened to Li Yifeng. It is said that if he kept silent, he wouldn't be cancalled, but instead he made a false statement which further damaged his public image and angered the authority).

3. Angelababy is an idol star with a lot of followers and most of her fans are young adults. From the authority's view, whatever she does has a big influence on her fans. In fact, during this time, a lot of her fans were very active trying to either make excuerses for her action or saying that CH is a good thing and whatnot. The louder the fans, the more consecuences suffers an idol celebrity because it actually shows the great influence he/she has on young people. Keep also in mind that the Chinese culture is much more collective-minded than individualist.

The old man is a character that appears multiple times in the author's novels. He plays important roles in Long…
Chinese gov don't encourage dramas to have supernatural elements if they are set after 1949 (The CCP rules after 1949 and for them it's considered a "new society" from then on and all the demons and whatnot supernatural things are considered decadent and superstitious things). So the drama is made to be told by an old man to enphasize that it's only fictional.
