Well she ran but stabilized herself after running. Technically it’ll be seen as going into hiding since she moved and told/contacted no one(with the exception of her uncle). Plus it won’t go against her once she claims she left after KJH said he will continue showing up at her house till she gives in. She can use that to claim she felt threatened by him and harassed. I’ve seen countless women do it. As long as she’s able to prove she has a stable income and living situation it will never go against her. Plus she lives with that lady who also helps her out. So it won’t really go against her unless so other issue arises later on
OYD as much as I love her, is very selfish. Yes I get she didn’t want to put everyone through the circus show dog shit would’ve brought with him. But still the whole point of having people who love you is that they’re ready and willing to fight for you in any situation. So that can work against him since he also cheated and abandoned her. Even if they weren’t married him leaving her whilst pregnant is still considered abandonment. Cause she also indirectly asked about what he’ll do is she were pregnant and he clearly stated he’ll pay to get her an abortion and that he wanted nothing to do with her. 4. His behavior alone also is enough to get him restricted. If OYD decided to take his aggressiveness and stalkerish behavior into account and present it. Even if he uses the excuse of looking for her to see his child, she as the mother can claim she felt threatened & harassed by his behavior. This ultimately leading her to run away and go no contact with her family & husband. And that can easily turn the tide in her favor.
So really and truly the only option he has is kidnapping or framing OYD and those are bound to make him loose his paternal rights even more.

A key thing in vengeful spirits I’ve learnt (from having extended family who are head deep in voodoo & watching a lot of supernatural shows) is a vengeful spirit can be/is only created if the person killed or dying unfairly/timely was wronged when they were alive.
We are aware that MokDan was “kidnapped” and killed. However I find it hard to believe that she was wronged when she was alive. Simply due to the flashbacks of her SanYoung keeps having. And the fact that she is at times led to clues that could reveal the identity of the evil spirit or the situation which led to her killing. Example: the page number on the books (16 174), the drawing on the furnitures, the hungry ghost situation, Yeom’s friend, Yeom’s family etc…
On the other hand whomever was killed seems to have been wronged in her lifetime. Simply because we see how when it takes over SY, she mentions how they need to pay for killing her. Plus the key thing is she destroys every single clue that leads to her name and anything that’s remotely related to her.
Those 2 behaviors are contrasted and make no sense. Because if I want my identity and anything the remotely points in my direction to remain hidden, why would I give clues to the person I’ll eventually kill. Also it makes sense why she’s making them believe she’s MokDan and why Yeom’s mother and Gu GangMo all died in the process of the trying to get rid of her. The knew some information about the true identity of the evil spirit…but they failed to realize that it could’ve been someone else.
MunChun in a previous episode when he was looking for more clues said she wasn’t the second daughter. Now the main clue is that the evil spirit doesn’t want its name to be found. If it was Mokdan, all of them would’ve been dead by now. Because they know it’s name. And like Hong Sae was saying…the spirit isn’t a child but she isn’t an adult either. She’s in between (teenager). That means either MokDan was originally chosen but then Yeom’s grandparents chose another child or the shaman switched the girls. Cause San Young searching up the phases of the moon that Mokdan was kidnapped and killed on yet the person that died saw a full moon. Plus Mokdan was led to the mountain but the person who died was in a shed. Mokdan’s death isn’t the original one. The year book that Yeon has has to have the identity of the real spirit plus the drawings are in that as well

My theory is that she’s possessed by both MokDan and the evil spirit. Cause like you said the evil spy kills anyone that try’s to find out it’s identity or anything related to it. Yet she got clues to pointed in its direction. So my guess is MokDan was originally the sacrifice but something must’ve went wrong and it didn’t work which led to someone else being sacrificed again. Another thing is the moon. MokDan was kidnapping & killed on days where it wasn’t a full moon but whoever died saw full moon . Also the evil spirit is vengeful. In order to create a vengeful spirit the person being sacrificed would’ve felt wronged in the life this causing them to linger and seek penance. Also when GSY was possessed by evil spirit it always mumbled something of them repaying for what was done to her. But when she saw MokDan in a vision and was chasing the vision she felt grief for her but nothing was spoken on revenge. Plus MokDan looked somewhat happy in a way. Plus if you recall when she was coming out of that haze and got the clues to the book numbers 16 174. My guess is MokDan is helping her since the evil spirit wants SY dead.
