Oh, they changed it. In the novel, she tried to kill QW by making her ride a horse that she made go mad. And then she got punished to kneel, and YC killed her favorite horse. I wonder what punishment she'll get for trying to kill QW by hunting her in the forest.

Anyways, do you all think Liu Chang's plan is going to work? I hate him so bad. That loser struggled to pass the exams and now wants to block the path of people of a lower class than him. ....most of the discussions have been people complaining about the random noble idiocy that jcy had. It did not make sense for him not to confess sooner when everyone already thought of Mudan as his favored concubine and would thus attack her to get to him. The divorce stuff in the recent episode made sense but before that it did not and just seemed like a plot point to drag things out. It's not wrong for people to call this out. You are right that skinship and kisses should not define a relationship but again, jcy constantly rejecting their feelings/relationship while STILL having Mudan as his concubine and having pretend love fights was dumb. In ep 17, if they didn't kiss/sleep together and Mudan really left, I would have been fine because at least he's finally acknowledging what's going on between them which is honestly the more important thing.

I think we get that when he randomly returns after being suspected of being dead.

I think 16/17 is when they get together and 18 is when the banquet happens and during that banquet is when Ning Wang stages a coup. But JCY gets the emperor away in time from the clips I've seen. So the war will be going on throughout 18 - 24.
