I wish I could still hold on but it's been so long. :/ I'm also a TJC fan now after LYF s1 but honestly I'm just waiting for his other stuff to come out.
Been gone from this page for so long but I hope the December rumor is true because ngl, I'm losing interest. There are really only three things making me hold on which are 1. the runaway bride scene 2. to see how CX will lose his mind 3. XY with her hair down. Other than that, the passion I once had for this story is dwindling fast. This is why I hate these breaks/cuts between seasons. Same thing happened to me with JOL. I'm completely over it now.
Waiting for new episodes especially when they keep deciding to end on cliff hangers is killing me. I wonder what LQ and LBY's relationship is going to be like after his confession. I'm also wondering if he's going to confess to her about being a double agent and how she's going to "stop" her "illness".
Lastly, it seems that De Furen wasn't able to slash her face so I'm wondering who or what stops her. Is this where we are finally going to get to meet her younger son?? Hmm.
I mean, this drama isn't good but it reminds me of the old skool melodrama type cdramas. It's almost formulaically…
I like this drama because it gives me YP vibes/RYRLITP vibes mixed with sword and brocade. I miss those kinds of dramas and they are far and few between. Plus, I prefer to watch older actors/actresses rather than the younger ones because I feel like the acting is better even if the plot isn't.

Are you talking about Peng Xiao Ran? She still has leading roles....And if it's her, she's played leading roles in a lot of things but this person might be talking about Goodbye My Princess. Warning though, that drama is very sad lmao. Way more sad than this one.
So it looked like HL bio mom, Madame De, is going to make an appearance and in the trailer she's trying to ruin LQ's face because she's upset about how much she looks like the Prince's late wife and how much influence she has.
Also, from the trailers, LQ finally makes it back to the main house and is promoted. I also think her illness and HL taking time to care for her over trying to amass power is going to help him win his father's favor. In today's episodes, LQ told MHY that one can't have both the prince and the ministers praise them. So if all the ministers are praising you, the prince most likely won't be.
Honestly, this show is entertaining. My pervious complaints still remain, but I'm enjoying myself. Especially because the acting is nice.
Personally, haven't felt like any of the episodes were filler episodes, especially after reading parts of the novel. All in all, I'm happy because the FL is getting to be with her family which was important to her. That's a bit of why I am nervous for ep 30. I really hope it's a dream within a dream, and her family never committed any crimes or died.
I'm glad she's not telling LBY her whole plan anymore because he's working as a double agent. I understand his reason for doing so but if he thinks after all this that LQ will want to be with him he is mistaken. He gave her up 3 times and at this point, she's already in love with HL (unfortunately). So it's too late for him because even if a marriage was granted to him, she doesn't love him anymore.
