😂 No. Lmao, TH is not changing the ending. TJC did an interview where he said he asked for blood during the death scene even though it wasn't called for and there are leaked pictures. Since he's going to die she might throw us bones with more funny moments or sweet moments but I really doubt that as so far they have followed the novel closely. There have been some changes but not drastic changes.

It took me a while to come to terms with the fact that my fav is going to die but replaying all his sweet or funny moments with XY/XL helps.

I'm really wondering how XL's death scene is going to be shot. The photos that TJC's studio took were amazing. He looked so cool. I also wonder if we are ever going to get to see gongong in this drama. Probably not but it would be cool. I also really want a flashback of XY's parents but... I feel like that's asking for too much.

Right? I wish we'd see more future collabs between leads in shows in general.

Someone explained it very way down below in the comments section but it's because he has no backing. His dad is dead and the sons his grandma had that could have backed him are also dead. His mom is also dead and his aunt, his last remaining backer is dead. He's sent as a hostage prince to another country and although XY's dad treats him well he's still a hostage. He doesn't have enough people in powerful places to help him and his uncles have been amassing a lot of power while he was gone. XY is different though because although her mom is dead she died for the sake of Xiyan people and her dad is known to be very capable of being ruthless. Additionally, said ruthless king basically proclaimed to the world how much he loves her with that whole intro/coming out to the world/celebration thing.

As for the future king thing, no one knew that the Yellow Emperor was already planning on giving his throne to Xuan. The Yellow Emperor wanted Xuan to prove himself to him. That he could keep and control what was given to him.

When XY meets him yes. It's his side thing. For the episodes that are out right now we don't know that yet though. I'll probably relieve it to us in the upcoming episodes.

As for CX, he didn't willingly accept the bug like XL did. XL knew the effects of it and what he was signing away by accepting the bug. CX didn't. Plus, CX didn't know XL was XY when she planted it on him so there's not really any love in his heart for her atp.

Those two are very very strange lmao. They are in love but XY has been through a lot and XL has his own complications concerning his loyalties etc. They are basically star-crossed lovers.

1. Her family supports CX opposition and she doesn't know that FFB is XL yet. Long ago, XL met the dying FFB and made a deal with him sort of. FFB would allow XL to willingly consume him if he agreed to take care of his mother. XL agreed. Hence the FFB identity.
2. It's...complicated...and long for me to explain. I'll let someone else who is better with words explain it.

The bugs: (Based on the novel)

The bugs are extremely rare and extremely hard to grow. They are also extremely hard to "plant" onto someone. So much so that a whole lifetime can go by without successful planation. In order to plant it onto someone successfully, the male counterpart has to be willing to accept the bug. Accepting the bug means that you are joining your lives etc. together and if you are unable to live in love with one another the bugs will turn into "heartbreak" bug and kill both people who they are inside of. There's more about the whole bug thing in the XY and XL discussion thread. As for why XY can't control the bug, because the bugs have...a mind of their own? They are not easy to raise and it's not an easy voodoo practice. Plus, she didn't plant the bugs on men who were weaker than her. I hope this explains it somewhat. I feel like the excerpts I posted from the novel do a better job though...Hope this helps....

It was real lmao. After he tried and failed to kill Jing he confessed to her and said he could wait for her to open her heart. He probably couldn’t kick them all out. But still…my cute deranged psycho.

Lmao can you imagine 3 bugs? They'd all know what XY was feeling and when she was lying to herself. It would be so chaotic. If only...I kind of like drama 🤣😂

Yes, the end of chp. 26 she finds out it's called lovers bug and is extremely hard to plant on someone, so much so that it's sort of a legend to some people.

At chp. 37 the voodoo king tells Jing and XY:

"The Lover's Bug -- either live in love or die in heartbreak. Once the Lover's Bug has been planted there is no way to break the spell. It is impossible. This is what I was trying to say earlier for why so few people raise it despite the great benefit. Only very determined girls would raise the bug but even if they successfully raise it, it's near impossible to find a man willing to accept the other bug to be planted in him."

So, she knows but she is in denial about it. She tries to convince herself that the voodoo king is mistaken and that since she was able to move it from Xuan to Xiang that there's a way to get rid of the bug.

XY does this about a lot of things concerning her love life and other things. If she doesn't want to accept or understand something she simply won't. So...yes she knows but at the same time no.

For those who don't want to read the whole thing, the only way to get rid of the lover's bug is via a "suicide method" cause the method involves you using your life to draw the bugs out. XL does this whole ritual thing and stabs his heart as well. What I just described is overly simplified so if you want more details, page 6 of the discussion thread has the excerpts from the translated novel.

For people wondering about the lover's bug thing, it's on chapter 48 of the translated version of the novel. I added excerpts in the XY and XL thread/discussion section.
