No he's not. He started this journey mainly because he knew he needed power to protect XY. I'm really tired of y'all slandering whatever character isn't your fav. It's one thing to complain about little annoyances here and there but none of the characters are useless. We see people slandering Jing, XL, Xuan and even XY all day on this page. You, solo shippers, need to rest. This is a REVERSE HAREM. Multiple love lines comes with the genre.

Anyways, final thoughts, the acting in all the episodes has been great but these last two...wow!

Based on what I've read I'd say all three of them are overbearing at parts but CX is the most possessive. I didn't make my original comment because I didn't like the male leads. I like all of them and their flaws make the story interesting but sometimes it does get annoying. I'm also not saying XY is perfect cause she isn't. She also annoys me sometimes. Overall, I like all the characters and this was just a general rant tbh.

It might appear that way but a lot of times it's the other way around in the background in terms of the "collaborative efforts" of all the men in her life.

I loved when he wore his black outfit and the scene where his character heard that woman's betrayal. It was so good.

Something that bugged me while reading the novel and now bugs me while watching the show is that all the men in XY's life are always calling the shots/making decisions for her. She's never really allowed to do what she truly wants to do in any aspect. And yes, it is ALL of them.

They all have great intentions but are always doing some action because they assume that's what's best for her. I wish they'd stop tbh.

I'm not just talking about her love interests btw. And this was not particularly brought up by today's episodes, it's just something I noticed while reading and is now more present while watching this show.
