Haven't seen ep 20 yet but Episode 19 proves that she clearly likes them both it's just XL will never admit his feelings. That quote from the novel about the two is so true. The one where XY says she met two men, one with feelings but without ability and one with ability but without feelings. But it's not true in the way XY meant it. I think it's true because Jing likes her and isn't afraid to show it but has no confidence. XL has confidence but is afraid to show that he likes her. These two are driving me nuts. Get it together you two!

That confession that XY gave XL...😭 he looked so happy. But then he ruined it by forcing her to swim back!! My guy, you can't get mad at her when she confessed and you basically turned it down by leaving her. Ugh, you'd have a chance if you stopped self-sabotaging. If anyone should be self-pitying it's Xuan, not you, you crust!

Ugh, I really feel like that first kiss is the only kiss we will be getting. That and forehead kisses maybe but at least it's better than the outlook of xuan and fenglong. 🤣

Lmao the trailer for ep 26. I loved reading this part in the novel and his attitude is exactly what I thought it would be. But this scene is so much more different than what happened in the novel based on the small clip shown.

Yes, he is extremely delusional. I hope they capture this in the show. But yeah I was confused about that part too. I just attributed it to his crazy delusions and obsessions which the Yellow Emperor briefly talked about. I really hope they keep in a majority of the stuff that happens when XY finds out about Xuan betrayal. It was sooo good.

People keep saying that Jing isn't as complex as the other male leads but he is...this is ep 18 guys. We have like 60 or 70 (forgot how many) episodes to go cause there are 2 seasons. Obviously, they aren't going to be able to cover the whole novel but they will probably get pretty close. As such, everyone will see that all 4 ML are complex and have good and bad sides to them. They all have problems. None of them is perfect but it just so happens that in a lot of moments, Jing is willing to give XY what the other three will not or cannot give. And honestly, most of the time when it pertains to Xuan and Xiang is really that they can't give her certain things due to the duties they have/the paths they have chosen. As for FengLong...he's the 4th ML. He's unlucky in that he didn't meet her sooner lmao.

Xuan started his journey to power with very little power and backing. So he would basically get XY to date or be open to Jing/FengLong so that he could get their support etc. And in doing so and constantly marrying other women and growing power he lost her cause by the time he succeeded XY was way more in love with two other men, Jing and XL. It's sad too cause part of the reason he did a lot of that was so that he could protect XY in ways he could not before and also so that he could unite their world under one rule.

He has soo many. He had to marry them because of alliances and stuff. But he never wanted to marry any of them just XY. Honestly, after jing "dies" he finally confesses to XY and tells her he can wait for her to be ready and that he wants her to be his empress. She says no and is super confused. A lot of stuff happens. In the end, he gives up but makes her wear a hair ornament that was given to him to give to his future wife.

Yes, that's FengLong's sister. FengLong's sister and XY's little sister were in the running to be empress but FengLong's sister won in the end. Then she couldn't stand how much Xuan loved XY, which atp everyone and I mean everyone knows except XY cause she's in denial.

Mark this as a spoiler. And technically no...XL saves him without XY or Jing knowing. They think it was a mermaid couple who helped them but it was really XL. So basically, XY thinks that Jing is dead as does everyone else.

Their loyal to opposing sides and XY doesn't want to make the same choices her mother made. XY would never betray Xuan or her grandpa which in the novel she describes as her "only remaining blood family". XL is never going to betray Gonggong who saved him. So it will never work out cause in order for it to work one of them needs to betray the people they are so fiercely loyal to.

XL was saved by Gonggong who is in charge of the resistant army. He's extremely loyal to him and would never betray him because of it. XY on the other hand is extremely loyal to Xuan. As such, they are on opposite sides. Plus, Xuan and the Yellow Emperor have tried several times to compromise with XL and get him to come to their side but he refuses because of his loyalty and because he's been fighting with these men and burying their bodies for so long. He can't just jump ship now just because he loves XY. So he goes out of his way to crush all her hope and reminds her that it will never happen basically. So I guess, you could take it as she loves XL more if you want? But personally...based on how she reacted to their deaths, I feel like the love is equal. That's just my interpretation though. Everyone gets different things from it.

No, ability is referring to being able to make things happen. Not being weak etc. Can actually go after what they want full force. Can apply themselves.
As for who she loves most between them, I honestly feel like at that point in the novel it really depends on the way you look at it. Personally I think she loves them both equally but she expresses her loves to Jing more outwardly because it's not a losing game/lost cause. If she went after Xiang they would have the same fate as her parents. It was doomed from the start. That's why a lot of people describe him as her soulmate and jing as her boyfriend. As for the xuan thing, he was in the running before she met jing and xiang but then so many things happened. That's why he's dubbed her "secret lover". So honestly it's up to you cause there are so many ways of looking at ranking her love but either way it's very clear (to me at least) that she loves all three.

In the novel she loves all three of them based on what I have read. There's a part after Xuan does something really really bad and he basically asks her if there was ever a chance and she says before she saved/met Jing there was no Jing, only him. So basically if he hadn't sacrificed her the way he did may be. As for XL, after another major event when he forces her to leave with him, he asked her if she wants to marry Jing. She says yes. Then he asks her if there is anyone else and she can't answer. She gets a very bad headache cause she's trying to suppress her feelings for XL. There are a lot of other things that happen too and her reaction to them and some things she says show she loves XL. So yeah, in the novel she loves all three of them. She doesn't love Xuan as much romantically as she does Jing and XL but she still does love him.

Oh also, there's a part where she's talking to Fenglong thanking him for being her "anchor" and she basically she's met 2 people that she could have potentially spent her life with but "one [has] feeling[s] but without ability and one [has] ability but without feelings". She's talking about XL and Jing.
