Tbh, I'm not surprised they are currently unable to out smart Bai Prince, YJL is not thinking straight since falling deeper in love with JYY and JYY, while smart, doesn't have a lot of power / is up against a prince who has become obsessed with her. Also, Jing Chao rarely plays character that aren't smart lmao. I think I've seen him play a dumb character one time. Tbh, I can't fully hate the Bai Prince cause ever since I watched Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace, I have not been able to fully hate any of the character Jing Chao plays lmao. His character in that show suffered so much and left a lasting impression on me. Hate when that happens cause it distracts from feelings I should be feeling.
Any who, I'm excited to see how they wrap this up. Oh also, this is based on a novel guys, and in the novel, JYY being captured occurred. Tbh, I feel like it was slightly worse in the novel compared to what we are seeing in the show. Additionally, there's a snippet of a scene between YJL and JYY on douyin that hasn't not occurred yet and it's a happy moment. That what makes me confident that this will be a happy ending.

Exactly. The fact that there was a whole conversation in the show about what makes JYY JYY and we are still having people question why she doesn't just abandon the responsibilities she took on for love is dumb. Also, this show was never promoted as just another romance story so I'm confused as to why some are confused that JYY isn't love brained.

Lmao, so do you just expect her to leave all those people who put their trust in her to die? She isn't wrong. If she escapes with him, the king and that prince will take out their anger on everyone that is left. And this show has shown us time and time again that she's not the type to just abandon people. Also, her friends are being held captive, the first ones to suffer if she leaves will be them.
The 3rd ml, not prince bai (Jing Chao's character) but the one using AI to change face, original actor had a scandal which effected a lot of things about this drama such as promotion etc.

It's not that he doesn't like DZ, it's more so that he's a leech and will do whatever benefits him the most. Siding with evil stepmom and making DZ take the blame for everything is most beneficial for him in the show. He's been portrayed as the type of person who will do anything for power. Throwing his brother's daughter under the bus is one of those things. On top of that, we've seen how he is towards his own mother so expecting him to be different towards his niece is a stretch tbh.

I'm forgetting specific details but during the wedding I vaguely remember Song Mo going to get something for DZ. As for the evil stepmom, she wasn't able to do anything about DZ getting married to SM. There was no issue from her end.
