I hate school bullying in dramas (it makes me feel miserable and my heart breaks for the victims), especially…
I agree with everything you said. The suicide game thing (now I finally understand why in the opening song he's suffocating himself, I thought it was symbolic, but this is much more messed up) and that scene with the teacher threatening Jong Suk (I was so uncomfortable when he got close to the screen/Jong Suk) completely broke me
you guys idk why but this show has been such a let down! The serial killer isn't creepy enough, the kidnapper/contract…
I second everything you said. I dropped it after two episodes after I heard that episode 3 doesn't fix any of the problems that were present in the first two episodes. The director should have played up the tension between the three leads since the beginning, but there was none of it and they barely seem to have a personality.
It's actually inspired from real life crimes, that's why it feels familiar
Exactly, we have already seen those stories without even knowing where they came from. I know that it has a sense of "oh I've already seen it", but it was inevitable, they couldn't change anything from the truth.
What an amazing drama! 100% my favorite drama of 2022 so far.
Agreed, I'm literally counting the days for the next episodes. I didn't expect to fall in love with this show from the first episode, but here we are 😂
Can't wait for Hwang Kyung and Jong Suk to finally meet, this is going to be heavy (but I'm sure Dong Wook and Sung Gyu are going to nail it). Also, I'm loving those ending songs, they really capture the mood of the episodes. I guess the only issue I have with the show so far is that Kang Jin Ah seems a bit bland compared to the other two leads. She's not bad, but she's not as complex and interesting as they are.
How creepy is this one? I'm kind of a chicken when it comes to horror. Worse than Sweet Home and All of us are…
Haven't watched the shows you mentioned but: yes, it's really creepy. Fear is subjective though, it doesn't have anything explicit, so maybe you can give it a try
Well, there must be a drama that is the first in the rankings, and I think this one is a good choice, even though…
Mh, difficult question ahah. I think that out of the dramas I personally consider a 10/10 (there are five of them so far) the one who I think could be the n. 1 is Lost because like Move to Heaven it has some universal themes that can resonate with everybody (other than being a well made drama in basically every aspect, I think), not just me. But at the end of the day someone could come and say that there are other dramas who deserve that place and I wouldn't disagree honestly ahah.
P.S. I really wanted to watch Hospital Playlist because it looks so good with a lovable and quirky cast, but I can't seem to get into medical drama no matter how much I try 😓. I was also thinking of starting 2521 now that it's almost over.
I'm curious why you think that My Mister's ending implies that introversion is bad or that the characters changed…
I don't know, it's more of a feeling I had while watching, but it looked like she was a completely different character from who she was in the beginning. It looked a bit as if the show was trying to say: look, she's all fixed now, but she just looked different to me. This is why I preferred the ending in Lost where you see that Lee Bu Jung hasn't changed herself, she has only changed her views about life. But it could be just my impression because I don't disagree with what you said.
idk what's about Kim Dong Wook but i like him. He's not like... a Oscar worthy actor, he's good, ok in some roles,…
Even though Hwa Pyung (The Guest) is my love, I actually think that this might turn out to be his best performance. Of course it's too early to tell, but I was positively impressed by his acting here, he's nailing the part of someone who is broken and was driven to the edge. Kim Sung Kyu is also very good here. And yes to Koreans being among the bests in making revenge movies, I'm still thinking about how epic I Saw The Devil was ahah
Oh wow 9.2? Don't get me wrong this drama is REALLY GOOD but being the no.1 highest rated feels a bit weird. It…
Well, there must be a drama that is the first in the rankings, and I think this one is a good choice, even though it's not my absolute favorite. I don't think there's any drama out there that we can all agree on the fact that it deserves the first place
Just finished it. Shin Ha Kyun deserves the award he got for this show. Lee Dong Shik is a really interesting…
As much as I loved it, I agree with what you said. The second half of the show was still very, very good, but the first half was just more fascinating for me: the way you feel like an outsider yourself trying to understand this small town and its inhabitants, the fact that you can't trust anyone, not even the main characters, the villain being someone you wouldn't really have thought about and just so good and scary in the part, the noir vibes. It was perfect. While the second half was more action packed, but I felt it was more predictable (the chemistry between the leads was simply perfect though, just like their acting)
Well the drama is very heavy so not many people will like this one
Every drama gets rated based on the first impressions, otherwise the show wouldn't have any rating in the first place for the first weeks, which is something that has never happened before.
Never believe the score in the first week it always wrong, the real score will be shown after first one finish…
Oh, so this is why they don't appear in the search page for a while (I mean the one which basically gives you a ranking from the most popular to the least)? I was just wondering why, thank you for the clarification! I hope the end result isn't really as low as 7.8 though; this looks like a quality drama, so it deserves to be at least above 8.0 :/
That is why I don't trust ratings. Through the darkness was so good but it did not get the attention it deserved.
Yes, Through The Darkness is a strong candidate for drama of the year for me as well. It's still too soon to decide, but it definitely will be among my favourites

Why are the ratings different when you click on it? (I'm sorry, I've never done it before since I've been using MDL mostly on the app version which feels clunkier to use and less complete compared to the web version) Because there is a big difference between 8.6 and 7.8 and it feels strange that it would suddenly fall to 7.8
That is why I don't trust ratings. Through the darkness was so good but it did not get the attention it deserved.
Agreed, Through The Darkness deserves much higher rating in my opinion. But I'm glad that at least toward the end it got a bit of attention, nothing compared to the most popular shows, but it was something. I'm hoping that with time more people will watch these shows.
Also, I'm loving those ending songs, they really capture the mood of the episodes.
