This was so good. Usually, k-drama writing gets bad in 2nd half, but this one actually had a better 2nd half. The use of time-travel in this drama was very refreshing and interesting. Everyone acted well, but Do Da Hae and Ina were on another level.
The killer in this drama was very inspiring. He managed to kill Sunjae in so many timelines despite police and Sol trying to stop him. This is the dedication you need to excel in life.
This should have been a movie. It was terrific. I think the happy ending should have been a bit longer and the story should have also dealt with ML's issues.
The leads did their best and their scenes were great. Loved their story and chemistry. But, outside of that, this drama was just too bad. The villains are too cartoonish. I expected a back story from that old female villain. The writing from this drama seems to be taken from 2000s dramas. It was too outdated. The only reason this drama is 8.8 instead of 7.8 is because of the star power of the leads.
My only problem with this drama is how it never really shed light on Seol Ok's life after her parents' death. Her mother-in-law used her as a glorified maid. She was not allowed to study and had to pay for her husband's studies. The husband and sister-in-law is terrible too.
The only flaw of this drama is Nam Goo's wife story. The drama is trying to justify infidelity. Also, the guy who likes her wife is such a boring character. Fortunately, their story doesn't have a lot of screen time.
The rating should be at least 8.5 for this drama. The main plot is gripping. There are a lot of twists and turns. The side stories are done very well. The romance plot is engaging too.
So I was reading some Korean comments (thanks to the auto translation) from Youtube videos of Lovely Runner and…
If you go through k-dramas from 2000s, they are too annoying and have a lot of cliches. I think those dramas could be improved if you go for a remake and improve the toxic stuff.
