Oh...I agree it was relief and a shared moment, but the way the episode bookend those two moments is interesting.

The beginning of the show his hand is wrapped around her neck and at the end of the show both his arms are wrapped around her body. The possession has only deepened for him.

The sexual tension is from the fact that you clearly know HE wants her. The actor is giving off potent vibes in that regard...and it's absolute fire 🔥My hats off to both actors in this scene because she is legitimately terrified and he is half out his mind with lust and anger. Whoa!

I'm really enjoying the female side of the politics. There's been a lot of great scenes and interactions with the all the major women in play, and they are all killing it! That slap from the Queen was beautiful, and the CP's mom incredible put down all while having a wet face was classic. LOL...I didn't think we get to see water tossed in someone's face, but there you go! 😂

It's kind of ironic. The CP has absolute control of her life and death, but he can't make her love him like he wants. The whole scene leading up it neck grab really hints at how much he wants her to love him. He asks if she was looking for him...because he was looking for her. She wasn't...lol. Then he demands to know if she belongs to him and she affirms that she is devoted to him as a servant. But the CP ask for everything and she tells him he doesn't have that. For me the scene is like he was still demanding those feeling from her by reminding her how much control he has, but he can't scare her into loving him. I think we might see a couple of more scenes like because whenever she rejects him he gets pissed.

The brother seems like an ambitious guy and he wants her to like the palace, and rise up like him, so I think that's a pretty good bet.

Just to add my two cents to the comments on the neck grabbing scene. I think the CP was demanding Doek-Im's love. In fact he did demand she answer him when he asked for her (according to subtitles) will, thoughts, and heart. She told him defiantly he can't demand that. Then the CP got mad and tried to scare her into it, but there's a moment in the scene where the CP sees how scared Doek-Im is and backs off. It's like he realizes she is terrified of him. The actor did a great job conveying that without any words. IMO, the CP now understands that though he has control of her life, but he cannot make her love him. She has to give that to him. My thoughts anyway. Can't wait for next Friday.

I agree with the symbolism of the scene, but it was vague to me that it was a gift and not something that was done to be symbolic. idk...if that makes sense, but it was vague and that may have been intentional by the director. I'd still like them to clear it up at some put just because we know it was her brother.

Ahh...so it was a gift that made him freak out. I wasn't sure if the cuffs meant something and its was sunny, so I wasn't thinking it would be something for winter. Interesting...I still think they should revisit that because it's a little vague.

Not the red sleeve, but the blue cuff her brother gave her. That coverup mysteriously disappeared afterward with no explanation.

Another really great episode. My only real complaint is the significance of the blue cuffs that made the CP so jealous wasn't explained. After that scene in the library they were just gone with no explanation. I hope that's rectified in the next episode with maybe a flashback scene or something. Otherwise, this episode was fire! 🔥🔥🔥

I didn't have a problem with it because it seemed to indicated how much actual power he has over her. He could legitimately take her life and no one would question him, which is why I think he called BS on her beautifully proud speech. I hope she reminds him of the words he said to his mom on during that ceremony. That should stop him dead in his tracks.

This is really good show. I had to temporarily break up with some of my other shows, so I can keep track of this one on a weekly basis. I usually wait to the full series is out, but I have to know what's happening because I am hooked.
