Another solid episode. If you're not going to give me moony eyes then a sword fight is the next best thing. The man with the eyes can move so he was able to sell that fight quite believably. Though, when his sword broke the military mind in me asked myself what sort of ceremonial sword don't work? Unlike some people, I don't have a problem with the ninja court fairy assassins. Compared to some of the things I've seen in some dramas, this seems on the milder scale of weird. The whole cast of the show is doing really well in each scene they are in, so even without moony eyes I was still engaged. My only niggling complaint was seriously...how long did that slo-mo run at the end need to be??? C'mon Zack Synder doesn't even do slo-mo that long...lol

Agreed. Their chemistry is awesome and I now just realize the CP is a virgin...lol. I literally cannot buy TV Doek-Im or the real life one not giving in after 15 years, and/or him not demanding it. I mean seriously...but I am eagerly awaiting to see how this plays out. Because...wow! The CP is going to lose his mind once he gets a taste of that forbidden fruit! And it's going be epic to watch!

Quick question for the history experts. Am I correct in thinking the CP CAN'T get his groove on with anyone he wants because...(how do I phrase this)...certain parts of his anatomy are owned by the state? I'm asking because I'm used to western kings who can have ANYONE they want at ANY TIME, but this doesn't seem to be the case here. Like is there ever a point where he can just...ya know....go for it without approval?

I have no patience and I know myself. I will be up on Twitter watching reaction videos. I'm unable to resist those eyes and I will have to see what he is doing.

I don't think the CP will be come toxic, but the love he has for her will be toxic to her health because he's the king. This man is just TOO much for lil' ole Doek-Im. She was minding her business in the library and talking to the painted cat. Yet, she has also noticed the abs, eyes, and lips...and women are frail creatures at times. Besides would she WANT to resist him if she had a choice? That's the question.

YES! I had to find a video on YT to confirm, but it's him! I also watched Home Fatale because...the eyes. JunHo has some good comedic chops. It was pretty funny. Now I think I have enough of a fix to relax for a bit until the morning. I am absolutely jealous of y'all in Korea because it's already Friday for you guys, but I still got like 12 or so more hours to go. 🤨

I think the only other one of this genre I have watched and genuinely liked was Moon Embracing the Sun. Now...that' doesn't mean I didn't fast forward a few times, but I did enjoy that one...mostly. Yet...now I think about it. It was the guy in that one too! Something about his voice... What is that guy's name?

I still love their chemistry that can't be beat, but I agree he does still see her as a possession...and the sad fact is she is one. She's been a toy for everyone so far and she has no free will or control of her own life. That's what's going to make all this so damn sad, because you know the CP (those EYES) is whipped and is just going to get more nutty with his possessive behavior. He's already not hiding it well and since she has no control in any of this she's just a pawn on the board.

I can see why they cut both these scenes. The one with the CP is irrelevant because you immediately knew he was missing her because that man has a potent stare and you can see the look on his face when he sees her; so there was no need for anything else. The other one was revealed in the previous episode...though somewhat ambiguously when Doek-Im told the creep tutor dude her real family name, which she then covered her mouth after she realized he was baiting her to say it and confirm it. So putting her in a scene where just drops the dime like her life isn't constantly in danger makes her look kind of dopey. Cute...but still dopey. My two cents.

"Rapid Development"? Hmmm...that's interesting. I'm assuming they mean numerous time jumps or some kind of condensed time line.

I did that too, but I'm prior military so I wanted to be doubly prepared. 😉Last week I had it down to a science, so I was able to eat breakfast while watching it.

I added Korean time to my iPhone world app just so I could set an alarm. 🤫

LOL...I am so glad Korea is like 17 hours ahead of my time. When I wake up on Friday the episode with be there after me dreaming it about.
