I was thinking that document he stamped at the end of episode 10 was some kind of marriage certificate. It looked formal, and the fact the tutor guy mentioned Doek-Im just then made me think this. I am thinking we will see him get formally married at some point, but wouldn't the actress for this already be cast? Unless they are just going to change it and make sister be the first/only one. Then it's just the main couple to the end...maybe? The amount of episodes and the focus on a few characters rather than a lot makes me wonder if they'll stream line this aspect or do some kind of time jump.
I happened to run across the article because I was curious as to what sort of political stuff might be upcoming. There maybe potential spoilers, but I have no idea.
If San can wait for deokim, we can wait for the new ep
The math of that seems a little off. I'm assuming in the show the resisting/rejecting she has done so far is counted into that 15 years. The show is ambiguous with how much time has passed. There are rarely any outright mentions of how long it's been since something occurred. The one moment I remember in an early episode where someone said the old king is almost 80, then another scene it was he's over eighty. So it seems like maybe it's been a few years overall so far.
Thank you. One thing I have picked up in K-dramas is age and honorifics are important, so it alway strikes me when she’s in a scene that she is outranked.
Thank you for answering. I was really wondering that because not to be ageist or anything, but she is older than all of the women in the most scenes, and she carries her self more maturely. Yet, she does seem to be outranked by all of them. I don't really know, but it kind of seems that way. I bet she can't wait for the CP to be crowned.
"Just take her. Once you lay her the passion will subside" the way I HATE this guy omg
Is that a more accurate translation of what he said? I think the subtitles in English read something like just have your way with her and so you can concentrate.
Episode 10 is where the politics picks up. It feels like a slower paced episode, but there's a lot going on. I don't mind the change in tone and pace since the story has to progress, and it looks like this is the beginning of the inevitable forced separation between Doek-Im and the CP. Still, the great thing about this show is it has a terrific cast. This episode gives all of them plenty of chances to shine. I was riveted during the dinner scene, so I have faith the show can maintain the delicate balance it has maintained so far.
🤣 I didn’t even see the preview at the end of ep10 on Viki. It looked like it was cut off. I just wait for…
It's always the music of Hamilton that sells it. I've seen it live via touring companies twice and it always hits......because of the music. If you ever decide to spend money to see the show and think about it because it does cost. Then don't see it via a tour in your city. Travel to see a standing show with good performers. Though, again, it's always the music so either option is going to win. But........the Disney version with the ORIGINAL CAST is so damn epic that it doesn't matter that it's on TV. Again the music, but Leslie Odom singing in crystal clear HD is still.....

If it's complicated, then the burden is on the producers of the show to MAKE it Interesting. Trust me. NO one had ever thought about Alexander Hamilton even though the man is on the $10 bill until you heard the music.

I get it. You can't have a show about a well-known political figure without the features of what made them famous. From my perspective that would be like a drama about George Washington without showing him crossing the Delaware. It's not the actual crossing that is important but that moment is very significant in U.S. history.
I think the issue I have with historical k-dramas is they forget to make it interesting. Hamilton (the play) is interesting because of the music. I enjoy politics and political intrigues, but with K-dramas they become bizarre very quickly, and usually that sucks out everything I have invested so far in the drama.
I'm not going to post my review at the moment because....
OKAY Viki Rakuten....we have to have a conversation again. I understand not subtitling previews for hype, but by NOT doing that you have created a very unfortunate situation. How do you expect me to invest in the next show without understanding the preview? Of course, this can be for hype, but eventually that gets old and tiring. Plus, for America, next week THE WITCHER premieres on Netflix, and though I love the man with the eyes. Henry Cavill IS Superman and he is damn near indestructible.

2. Junho staring again
