Their last filming took place at Uibin Seong's tomb😭https://twitter.com/shjky/status/1471468974315503620?t=EZZPb6YZ0KTjDdkP8Ynrig&s=19
When I rewatch episodes the foreshadowing is heartbreaking. The best thing any rational person can do is be prepared. The journey was so sweet...now it's time to reach the destination. Keep your imagination handy, folks.

I got a gallon of water by my bed, an unopened box of tissue, and some eye cream just in preparation. I might also add a half-pint of Vodka just to be on the safe side. 🤔

It's already Friday in Korea! It's still Thursday for me, but I feel good knowing it's Friday in Korea.

I guess we'll have to see how it plays out. IMO it's just too big to leave out completely.

Which again IMO is why they have to pay it off if he reverses course.

I thought he also mentioned bearing an heir was his only duty, so I'm assuming he's going to do that with the suitable woman.

I don't see how they can't introduce her after the speech he gave his mom about finding a suitable woman to bear his seed. I mean...c'mon...they have pay off that statement just because he said it.

The "party" is what is making this drama extra special. We are all collectively enjoying THE STARE and the FL is killing it making us all wish we could be her. Yet, I really hope everyone is taking advantage of the various streaming devices available. If you aren't watching this in true HD on a large screen you are missing out!!!!

I havent watch this yet but is this version is as good as Lee Seo Jin version of Yi San?
I did the free trial of KOCOWA so I could watch Yi San...and I have never seen it before, so I don't have nostalgic memories. But, I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is the better version. My two cents.

For sure...dude is a piece of work, and he's willing to lie, cheat, and steal to get ahead. He's blinded by ambition, yet I don't think he is outright evil with the Dr. Evil vibe or anything. That's all I'm saying.

The question of who saved the CP is kind of moot, because without the kite they would have been ambushed and without the army they would have still been ambushed....lol. Gramps really saved him by giving him the token. So they all saved him IMO. Yet, I just mean the dude's ambition and lust for power comes from wanting to have more and more power. If this dude was alive today he'd be Bezo or Jobs. I'm not saying he won't do evil things, but ambition itself is not necessarily evil.

Hong Deok Ro is taking the bromance to an obsessive level. He's so jealous and truly deep down evil.
I don't think he's evil...per se. He treats his sister kindly, but he wants and strives for more. He seems like a pragmatic, cold hearted person, who only sees what can be gained in a situation...a la like a Kissinger figure.

Some of this doesn't make sense because they are still threatening him to be regent, so what would HE be exactly signing before being regent if he isn't regent yet. I may stretching it, but it was a very elaborate piece of paper, and noticeably they didn't highlight any of the words. Since we know the separation is coming, this would be the time to include the marriages and other wives/concubines, because apparently he can't have her until he produces with someone more socially worthy. IDK...maybe I am reaching, but it seems that the time frame right now is 1776. Unfortunately, I did a WIKI search so the dates are fixed in my mind, and according to Wiki he becomes King in 1776, but Doek-Im dies before he dies in 1800.

I agree...we should see more of that, and I hope we will. We know she feels pushed and pulled, but it was never due to her feeling. So, I hope the show expounds on that.

I agree...and I think it is because she is a servant with no choice or voice at the moment. If you notice, the CP has asked her several times what HE should do, but she's clueless. That's out of her pay grade, and she has no answer. I haven't read the book and I don't know the history, but I do know romance books. She has to find a voice and I am curious to how she will do that.

I've never met a K-drama that wasn't repetitive, but I hope there will be a distinct difference between the CP and King Junho. Of course, we all have to wait and see, but I think I missed how much puppy love is in the first 8 episodes because of the potent stare.
