Title 'LOST YOU FOREVER' itself hinting... [SPOILER*] 'Yearning' which remains 'Forever'. It directly refers to CangXuan loosing Xiao Yao, while indirectly refers to Xiao Yao loosing Xiang liu. Their heartaches & sense of yearning will remain forever.
No offense but how it supposed to be happy ending? when author TongHua herself said, novel is "a Non-tragic ending with a Companion". [SPOILER*] FL endup with Jing, who even selfishly bounded her in 15 yrs. promise, instead of breaking his engagement, did 360 and married other woman, even gave up his wealth to her son, declared him successor. Its specifically not a happy ending.
In reality, no parents in their sane mind will let their daughter be with someone (no matter however rich) who is irresponsible, already married and have child. Certain cp fans parroting and misinterpreting whole novel on basis of mere ending, in some way, Yang Zi blasted off their delusional views by neither choosing Jing, nor XY as ideal 'Real life' characters. We shouldn't take its 'Fantasy' ending seriously. Don't lower ourself for others expectations. Never give up. Be strong & worthy.

I agree, as both Jing and Fenglong are from wealthy family. Jing utter lack of being responsible, failed to solve his affairs while [*Spoiler] married FFYY and gave up his wealth to her son, makes him less worthy than even Fenglong. No wonder, YangZi neither choose Jing, nor XY as ideal/suitable characters for reality.
Being loyal & responsible is a strong character traits, makes Xiang liu worthy. [*Spoiler] Knowing his situation, XL hides his love, and fulfilled her wish until his last breath. Technically without XL, story will end at Maze attack, with dead XY, comatose suicidal Jing and mad CangXuan in grief. Hence, cause of XL, atleast XY (and Jing) is alive and not alone.

Indeed. He is getting fame, both ways. He knew what his fans/team did but remained silent (as he did live stream to console his fans when he didn't attend an award event). Dw is a grown up man, so should atleast take some responsibility. Matter is between them. Tencent won't let hardworks of other cast & crew waste for him.
