Considering each character development, TSJ is a man with money but has no strong will to solve his scheming family issues. Jing influence somewhat made her look weak. XY seems like a meager lover/wife trying to appease Jing, being bounded in hypocrite promise by him to wait & not love other men for 15 yrs. while he solve his problems with his fiance (which he fails & in end, after being saved by XL help, he left as YSQ with XY, making his fiance's son his family successor) also she often got humiliated by her rich in laws which most of women suffers in real life.
The ending is complicating & ok as how she became as XY cause of Jing. Infact, even as XY, in presence of Cang Xuan protectiveness and Xiang liu love, loyalty & companionship, naturally seems worthy strong which she lacks with TSJ. Ik, she isn't saint herself. I prefer her as WXL where atleast she was sensible strong character. Honestly, WXL jolly strong self suits her more than XY lovey dovey meek self.
Even 3 minutes are enough for Xiang liu making our heartbeats for whole time. Wonder what will happen if they rightly show his character like other leads for whole story. He is happy enough to see XY happiness with someone else. This brave beautiful selfless character deserves better.

Honestly, TSJ with himself also somewhat made XY character looks weak.

Its ok. I don't think any less of him, its just I can't accept TSJ as some saint pitiful good guy when he shown capable of being insecure, cunning & jealous often just like his family. Source novel confirmed, inbetween FL 2 love interests, her soulmate XL being bounded in responsibility, remains loyal, selfless & silent for XY happiness ( even being a demon, XL shown maturity by being ok with XY happiness with someone else) while Jing even having wealth wasN't able to give happiness as TSJ, she deserves. He can be stubborn but lacks strong will to face his family affairs & schemes. After that pitiful promise I'm not that keen for Jing. In all of YZ dramas leads, he seems one of most weak character.

I understand your views. TSJ did projected & simultaneously burdened XY in a promise which made loose its beautiful touch of relationship. Their relationship somewhat looks strained, giving same sense of what most women face nowdays in their marriage from their lover/husband & in laws in reality. IMO, TSJ didn't need to make XY promise him. He should believe her. Nobody is perfect, so nor is he. He is kind but cunning too. He could have done better. He have same roots as his family. Honestly, Tsj was not able to overcome hardships to solve his scheming family affairs fully, that's why he left as YSQ. Though, Thanks to Tong Hua and XL, TSJ problems got solved and in end he was able to be with XY alive happily.
Honestly, FL was better as WXL, atleast she wasn't burdened with a pitiful promise of waiting of 15 years for guy who was already engaged, later got a son (not his but XY still faced a heartbreak of having a stepson from his fiance), also schemes & scolding of Jing's family, while he kept reminding her of promise & not love other man. There's a reason why TSJ left with XY as YSQ in end as he himself failed to provide happiness to XY as TSJ.

1. Its like a memorial for late Captain LF as he got justice finally as they caught culprit CZ. 2. Its SY self portrait that man slashed. I think, that black & white portrait of SY is from 7 yrs. ago which SY painted in contrast with his coloured one.
With that mysterious man who slashed SY's portrait, I think that portrait itself is one of the mysteries maybe will be seeing in Season2 about too. I'm glad Original artists are back for s2.
