Tan jianci acting, visuals and every expressions are amazing. His portrayal brought Xiang liu alive. TJC nailed it. Xiang liu has nothing like Xuan & Jing but still he gave his all to her. His character development is beautiful. His love is unconditional & unmatched. A true soulmate. Xiang Liu eyes says it all. He is happy in her happiness. He didn't want to burden Xiao yao with his love & silently accompanied her in loneliness while protected her like shadow. XL enduring pain while breathing life to XY with heart blood for 37 yrs. Xiang Liu selfless love, care, devotion, righteousness & loyalty touched my heart to core.

He is aware that their connection could never be fully realized due to his personal convictions, he refrained from raising false hopes, instead providing steadfast support during challenging times and quietly fading into the background when tranquility returned. His presence remained constant, though unspoken. Xiang liu wisely recognized that revealing the extent of his sacrifices would only cause Xiaoyao more pain. Consequently, he arranged for others to take credit for his actions, safeguarding her from the truth. He even ensured she would never uncover his contributions by discreetly preserving the most significant token of his affection within a doll, a touching element of her wedding gift.❤️

Epi-34, the way Jing again confronts XY & XL is more like rich pompous man than jealous. Imo, DW acting lacks in comparison of YZ. Its his first time working with such beautiful & professional artist like YZ. In contrast, Xiao Yao is much strong & understanding than Jing. Their sweet chemistry seems artificial. Its not natural like her chemistry with other leads. Luckily its top in domestic but can't say internationally.
I feel like that would go against everything he stands for though...It's been hard for me to come to terms with…
Its not like, I'm asking him to be with XY or someone else. They can atleast give him an individual ending in drama and not let him die on excuse of "soldiers deserves to die in battle" ending. For me, a beautiful character like XL, being breathing alive in end is one of the happy ending.

The way some biased fans kept bashing other mlds, while insisting XY only loves Jing. I don't know who are they trying to convince her or themselves. IMO, Its not a simple love story. A story is much more than getting fl. Its not a race. All mlds loves her & tried to save her. No one is perfect in this story & in real life too. Each character are complex. From real life POV, Jing reminds of a modern time rich lover/husband, often doubts his wife. In his insecurities he made XY promise him to wait & not love other man for 15 yrs. while he solved affairs with his fiance. Ik, Jing is a sweet stable character but in reality, no girl will be stable being told to wait for 15 yrs. He is already engaged to someone else which also effects XY image. Their sweet moments seems Off. It feels like a wife trying to appease her husband.
Btw, Epi-30 foreshadowed, that logically we will have a dead FL, comatose half dead Jing & guilty CX in the end, without Xiang liu character. He is important & worthy of her love. XL has nothing like Xuan & Jing but he still able to led her to happy life. Xiang liu's love is like a vast sea, no one can compare. He is her soulmate & silent protector. Those who are making fun of XL character, I hope they realize, his worth. Its a Reverse Harem. All mlds love her in their own way. Its not some race. The story is itself is complex like its characters. In reality, XL was not making any kind of deal with CX as XL barged into his territory, holding onto his heart in process to not let XY die. At that critical time, if XL didn't ask for anything in return, CX would have never believed that he would save XY, as he's his enemy. If XL is asking for something in exchange then CX will believe that he'll definitely save XY, since he's gaining something in return. Also, It would also save XL from disclosing his feelings for XY, as XL doesn't want anyone to know.
For her, XL can do anything: pierced his heart, barged into enemy territory, transferring deadly poisonous bugs within his own body to ensure her safety, despite knowing the risks that it may cost him his own life. He is worthy of her love. We should be grateful to him. His dedications, sacrifices & loyalty is unmatched. XL is happy in XY happines, even its not with him. He died being loyal to his duty & love. Exactly. Infact, the real outcome without Xiang liu will be ultimately a sob story with a sad ending like other dramas. Cause one way or another CX will try to keep XY beside him after being power obsessed while Jing had failed in trying to save her, being killed in jealousy by Xuan, later XY died too, only CX left in guilt. Hence, XL is an important role in securing & leading XY to happy with Jing.
