(Spoiler*) Actually, XL did try in his own way, as much he can help, even being debted to his forster father and bounded in responsibilities. XL didn't have freedom to live his own life. That's why Xiaoyao hates his forster father and prefers him as FFB. Sorry, No offense, I pointed Spoiler so people won't be misleaded. XL knows his life limits, so helped FL get with TSJ. He is happy in XY happiness even if its not with him. He fulfilled her wish to be not alone. So, atleast FL is alive & not alone in end.

His insecurities & inablity are his own enemies. Except fantasy elements, TSJ & family issues are what most women domestically suffers in reality. Aside from drama/story, I wonder if any woman in reality will agree to some foolish promise and accept a man, even rich, who fails to be responsible & solve his problems, gives up his wealth to her step son and wander around with him poor? Cause I won't. That's my point and view.

Even erased his memories from FL, so she wouldn't feel burdened in life, (unlike Jing who bounded her in a selfish promise cause of his insecurities.)
XY chemistry is naturally better with XL, even with CX. Its ok, if you like Jing with her. We have our preferences. No one is obliged to like others. Its not some race. Some of TSJ overreacting on other views but putting TSJ on a alter cause he got girl wouldn't change the fact, how he got her. TH preferring XL is a proof of it. Some biased Jing fans misleading facts that, 'Lover bug' means nothing. Its just a 'Friendship bug'. They even belittled FL, said why TSJ should leave his family for some unknown girl. IMO, if it wasn't for FL, TSJ character wouldn't be counted in story. She just doesn't want to be alone. Its a work of fiction & fantasy, his fans taking it too seriously. There was a never a complain before. Comment section on MDL is pretty easy to use. So, I do think Winny mistook my comment deliberately & made issue. I previously noticed her continuous spam comments on other users. Winney & Symbolika's rude behavior reminds of obsessive biased, attention seeker fans making issues just cause other characters/artist are better than their favorites.

He left with XY after making her step son his family successor. In all mlds, Jing has only one thing to do, was provide XY happiness as TSJ which he failed to do so but talking with unreasonable biased fans leads to nothing. Ignoring other leads efforts, some biased Jing fans kept insisting, Jing is perfect. XY should only love him also mocking why TSJ should leave his family for an unknown girl.
See, XL was born orphan, suffered too much as slave, had no one to care for him and always misjudged by people, just cause he's demon. He changed for her, hiding his love, protected XY without burdening her with his feelings. He is her soulmate & understood her loneliness. After XY maze attack, XL kept their heart beating when she was announced dead. He brought her alive, sacrificing 1 one of his life, nursed her with his blood for 37 yrs. Without XL, we will have a dead XY, comatose TSJ & mad CX in end. So, basically XL took most of the brunt in story, being used as tool for XY happy ending with TSJ. Cause of XL, he got to live alive as YSQ with her. XY admits & wish he could be FFB, cause being debted to forster father, XL had never got freedom to live for himself.
Even CX seems better than TSJ. He only became powerful for XY. Title 'LYF' refers to CX loosing XY but also indirectly refers to her loosing XL. Maybe you can't accept other being better than Jing but its not viewers fault if they naturally like others more. Its not a race about who gets girl.
