I agree with you. I'm up to episode 14. ML is a boring actor. I've watched 3 of his previous dramas, only finished 1. He has the same deadpan face every time. I've never felt any chemistry between him and any of his leading ladies. It stumps me how he is such a big star.

I saw that as more of her in performing costume than wedding costume. The top singer also wore very elaborate clothes and lots of makeup.

I noticed it right away at the teahouse and with many other backgrounds. They just need to stay indoors with windows closed, lol.

I'm on episode 2 and I'm having a hard time getting over how bad the green screen is...I'll stick to it because you say it gets better.

I'm on episode 22 and even the friends' moms are bad.

If only the last few episodes could have matched the greatness of the first eight episodes. And to think, I told a friend this drama had the best pacing I've ever seen...spoke too soon!

When everyone was hating on the ML for being such a jerk, I already knew the writers were setting up a psychological explanation. From his absence of a mom to his contentious relationship with his dad in early episodes, I knew they were going to reveal abandonment issues and bad behavior modelling from dad to explain his poor treatment of FL and his great sense of betrayal when she wanted to transfer/quit. Episode 14 is the pay off.

Thumbs up to the wardrobe dept. I appreciate how everyone is dressed appropriately for the office and business events. They were dressed horrendously in office dramas like Mr. Crow and Miss Lizard (FL didn't have a single professional outfit) and Lost Romance (ML wore tuxedoes and party suits).

Subtitles are always teaching me new vocabulary. Word of the day: freshet - the flood of a river from heavy rain or melted snow.

Super cute main couple, but omg the villain storyline is so boring. The supervillain talked so slow it put me to sleep.

Minister Feng already knows ML's secret identity. In episode 6, when she asked him if he was "secretive" and "elegant," she was really asking him if he is Fengxi and Lanxi because those are their respective nicknames. It really got lost in the subtitles. I only understood it after reading CloudA's explanations on the names meanings in the Discussion section above. Also, it's obvious she knows he's HFX as he's always issuing commands for Fountain Abode in front of her.

I rewatched this scene after reading CloudA's explanation of all the names and meanings in the discussion. The coded language they were using finally made sense. FQW was asking him if he was "secretive" or "elegant," referring to both nicknames for his two different Gentlemen identities. So she definitely knew.

But then isn’t she really confused that he knows the famous BFX at all? If she already knew he is HFX, then that explains how she can just accept meeting BFX.

Does Feng Qiwu know that Lanxi is HFX? I’ve been unclear on this since she tried to snoop with that invoice for the dress.

In trailer for ep22, I think Miss Huan is the dancer in the aqua dress and veil who stares at the Prince when he enters the room to get BFX. So whatever she did at that dancehall is what gets her in trouble with him. I bet she just wanted a look at BFX in person.
