@Pencil Box Totally, I specifically fast-forwarded to find those subs and a few other scenes that confused me. They corrected major mistakes but didn’t fix all the little awkward grammatical errors.

I am in the US where it is available tomorrow. I vpn'd to Australia to check because they're a day ahead.

Netflix subs are 98% similar to Tencent subs. They just cleaned up some grammar and noticeably changed "Black Foxy" to "Black Fox" and "Four Gentry" to "Four Gentleman." The changes I definitely would have made.

After seeing the trailer for ep22, can't wait for Chancellor Ren to find out BFX is a princess!

Are you referring to the episode where Prince Ju leads their dad to the hot springs palace to visit him to try to catch him out, and then he confesses to not being in the palace the whole time because he was praying at his mom's tomb?

Everyone's been calling her Miss Feng, since her name is Feng Xi. HFX calls her Miss Feng with all his servants.

Why was there ominous music and scared looks when the imperial ambassador asked Prince Lanxi to take him to his mom's tomb? Is it because the tomb is located on that mountain behind the hot springs palace? Or because there was no official altar set up for her?

Then this explains why Tencent haven't uploaded full episodes on their YouTube channel. Also, I'm surprised it's Netflix when Tencent dramas have usually gone on Amazon, e.g. You Are My Glory, Tiger and Rose, Sword and Brocade.

I watched season 1 and I can't even remember anything about it because it was so blah. Was anyone really clamoring for a sequel?

Agreed, he gets to smile instead of just being stone-faced the entire time.

In the novel, when do they get married? Because I'm guessing the wedding scene in the trailer will probably be the last episode...

Is this worth watching if I'm a big fan of Dilraba, but not of Ren Jia Lun?

The issues I mentioned above were with YouTube Tencent membership, not Tencent app.

I had subscribed via YouTube for Novoland: Pearl Eclipse, but they always uploaded much later than WeTV/Tencent app, and the YouTube videos always had the Chinese subtitles embedded so that made it a pain with English subs going over them.

It doesn't look like Tencent will upload on their YouTube. As of now, all their posts about the drama direct people to download WeTV app to watch full episodes. I think they're using the popularity of WRTW to get subscribers to WeTV where they can keep all the money vs. if you subscribe on YouTube, they have to pay YouTube a share.

Prince Lanxi is considered one of the four, but he's been "sickly" this whole time. How did he get such a great reputation?

I know what gentry means, but it's a term for a group and very specifically British, so I was confused why it was being used in the subs.

Thank you, that makes sense now. I feel like the English subtitles are not the usual Tencent quality this time.

Can someone explain what the Four Gentry is? What does "gentry" in the subtitles really mean?

So far this drama is excellent. Beautiful actors, great pace, lots of chemistry. BUT I've watched too many period cdramas, I recognize all the sets and locations from other dramas.
