Netflix should have made this 4 seasons because there is still alot of unanswered questions. This season should…
No, they should've stopped after season 1. Trust me, no amount of seasons will ever get netflix to do the story justice. Season 4 would be even worse and even more detached from the og story. They excel in the limited series format and they should stick to it.
It was already drying the last two episodes. I don't see a reason to watch any more.
it's not about appreciating, it's because statistically most well-made shows and movies decline in quality in sequels. it's a fact. I think everyone who's apprehensive about sequels, me included, just don't want to see their favorite stories butchered and dragged and having to drop it later or keep watching for the sake of completion. I personally appreciate that every good thing must come to and end and all that begins well ends well. I also appreciate leaving room and opportunities for more great new stories to shine instead of milking the substance of what was once great. I'm sure a lot of people agree with me, but money runs the game. Unless the story organically and naratively requires to be continued (which I think shogun doesn't).
I haven't watched this season yet, but just reading the comments and based on recent seasons of other dramas, this western multiple season formula just doesn't work for kdramas, let's get rid of it please and get back to well-rounded one season kdramas. Not everything needs to have a million episodes until every bit of emotion and substance and entertainment is beaten out of it. Every good thing needs to come to an end. I'm genuinely tired of amazing stories being ruined and poorly over-exploited just to satisfy demand.
