I feel like Nozomi and Dongkyu are real vibe marchers! Hope rio or themselves don’t fuck up something that looks…
They may be a really good vibe but they're behind in every other aspect. Almost everyone else has starred in an episode besides them. They really do need to work with other people. I think they vibe well , but are too focused on the falling in love aspect. I don't think they have good chemistry acting together and if they keep choosing each other they're not going to fulfill their full potential as actors. I hope they don't fall so behind everyone else because they're trying to keep their connection. Also I don't think Rio should avoid working with Dongkyu just because he has a connection with Nozomi. She's there for the right reasons and it's good that she's trying to explore her options and work with different people. If the connection between Nozomi and Dongkyu is strong even if Rio works with him, it shouldn't get in between what they have.
I agree, I also don't like that they keep pairing up with each other and aren't exploring with other partners.…
That's what I'm saying and the language barrier doesn't help. I'm glad that they do have a connection and that their language barrier isn't hindering whatever feelings may be developing, but at the end of the day it's an acting show. The goal is to as an actor/actress perform well and get the lead part and I think they're too focused on the "falling in love" aspect. Almost everyone else has starred in an episode. I also think nozomi is going to be upset if Rio and Dongkyu work together. Because during the shopping spree episode she said was interested in him and found him attractive. I'm wondering if that's going to cause tension in the house. Overall this is a really good show so far and I can't wait to see what'll happen.
I just hope when nozomi and dongkyu fail to happen people will direct their anger towards them not rio or any…
I agree, I also don't like that they keep pairing up with each other and aren't exploring with other partners. Which is why they keep not getting picked for parts
Interesting, but I'm curious, do you prefer the SML over the SFL because he's male and handsome? Have you come…
I agree with you! I don't think it helps that dramas reinforce this idea and viewers look forward to seeing it. I think in this drama I would write the 2ML's behavior off as pure annoyance if he wasn't severely mentally ill. From what we saw he was so mentally ill to the point he attempted suicide multiple times, stalked his ex and was on medication. So in his case he was mentally so far gone that his obsession and jealously is "justified" by the writers. But in other dramas and in society this behavior is accepted which is why I agree that female viewers tend to find it "desirable."
I like the finance and technical aspects of the drama. I'm an engineer so I was interested in the discussions…
Your take perfectly describes what interested me about this drama as well. This drama showed me that being a journalist is so much more than interviews, but you must have a good understanding of the topic you're specialized in. I was so shocked when the FL said she went to school for finance and then decided to become a journalist. I would've thought she went to school for journalism and chose finance because she was interested in that sector. This drama has made me develop a deeper understanding and respect for journalism and what it takes to be a journalist. I also loved how the FL's career never diminished once she fell in love. They perfectly incorporated her job with the entire story. I loved that there was an ultimate goal which was Shi Yan investing in Le'an technology and how the FL was able to help with that process through her articles while also staying unbiased. People also complained that there were two many side couples but I actually loved the fact that everyone had a love interest and it didn't take away from the main couple. I rate this drama very high !
I see so many comments about Dylan Wang's attractiveness and his chemistry with the FL, but was anyone else interested in the investment/finance part of the drama? I loved learning about how investment companies work and what they look for in the companies they're trying to invest in. I loved the fact that the FL was a finance journalist and actually went to college for finance. I feel like everything was paired together so well and the writing was so good. There were some cliche moments but I honestly enjoyed learning about the new technological advancements being made, what to look for when investing and the journalism about finance as a whole. This wasn't just your typical rich CEO with ditzy FL. It's packed with so much more and I absolutely loved that the FL was educated and excelled in her career before she even met the ML and after they got together. It was nice to see him heed her advice and that her name was recognized in its own right. Overall this drama was so good and the people saying it isn't have bad taste. Also so nice seeing Dylan Wang's acting get better. I remember he was just a teenager when he starred as Daoming Si in Meteor Garden :)

I actually haven't seen that drama but maybe I should check it out. And yes I would also like to see that change. There's definitely a male preference that we consistently see which isn't unique to just asian dramas. Soon you'll see their interaction and his backstory will be revealed. I'd love to hear your thoughts once you finish! And oh I absolutely love the romance between the FL and ML. I never rooted for the FL to be with SML I just wished they gave him a better character arc!

Before you read this I do want to say that I did not by any means spoil the ending of Strong Girl Namsoon, but I hint as certain things. If you don't want to know anything at all I advise you stop reading at the third to last sentence! ^^I definitely agree with you on this. I actually just finished Strong Girl Namsoon and I've seen similar comments. In the SML's defense I will say one thing. Since you just started the drama there's a lot that hasn't been revealed about the SML's backstory. Similar to the SML in Dinnermate the writers try to build a story where you empathize with him. You probably haven't seen it so far but the things the SML in Strong Girl Namsoon experienced are meant to get viewers to understand why he turned out the way he did. I'm curious to see how you'll feel about the SML once you see the ending of the show. I'd also like to mention that many people who finished the drama feel bad for him because of how everything ended. But I do agree his looks make it harder to dismiss him as villain and not ship him with the FL because she does bring out a softer side in him. I believe in time you'll understand why so many people empathize with his character and were rooting for him. He could've easily been made an anti-hero, but in my opinion it was bad writing at the end. Once you finish you should tell me how you feel about his character, I'm confident your views may alter.

I'm almost finished with this drama but from what I've seen I definitely agree with the original take. I think you also make a good point when you mention the fact that many people dislike the SFL more than a handsome SML because it has a large female audience. I've definitely seen times where takes are incredibly biased because of that, but in this case I'd say this is an unbiased opinion. Compared to the SFL the SML was a way more dynamic and complex character. @Utemom5 describes it perfectly when she states that you see his jealously, than you think maybe he's a dangerous lunatic, and then you learn of his abandonment and mental issues which evokes empathy. His character arc was well written compared to the SFL who they don't spend too much time on. I never really develop a sense of empathy for her because not enough time is spent building her character. To me the SFL seems incredibly entitled and the possessiveness over her ex isn't justified in any way. She ended the relationship and now wants him when he's completely moved on. You could say that's the same case for the SML but in his case he's extremely mentally unstable and after learning of his attachment issues, you start to unknowingly understand him more. I feel like with the SFL I couldn't empathize with her because that understanding wasn't built. In this case it was definitely the good writing that swayed my opinion of the SML and not the fact that he's handsome. In the SFL's case it's simply because her character wasn't developed enough because I'd probably empathize with her too, if that were the case.
People are saying so many negative things about Song but honestly I appreciated his acting in Nevertheless. His character was a borderline narcissist and I think he played it as well as his other roles, very well.
