I can understand you're passionate about sharing your thoughts and love diving into detailed breakdowns but every drama has a 'Recent Discussions' forum in MDL where you can open your own thread and honestly that’s where your detailed scene-by-scene narrations belong if you’re unwilling to use spoiler tags.

Posting massive paragraphs recounting every single plot point without a spoiler warning isn’t just inconsiderate but it’s outright dismissive of others trying to enjoy the show spoiler-free. The fact that the show isn’t wildly popular doesn’t make it okay to ignore basic courtesy.

So please either start using spoiler tags or move your full commentaries to a discussion thread. It’s a simple fix and frankly the bare minimum expected in a shared space like this. Hope you’ll take this into account not just for this show but going forward as well.

You’re free to express things whichever way you want coz that’s the point of this forum. However, narrating every single scene and plot detail without even using a spoiler tag isn’t exactly considerate or ethical . And when I scrolled down, you have been spoiling the entire show scene by scene, plot by plot without spoiler tag. Just ask yourself if what you are doing is correct. I get that you want more people to read your thoughts & you might worry fewer people will read your post if it's hidden under a spoiler tag but that’s precisely why spoiler tags exist i.e to give others the choice, especially while a show is still airing. You cannot simply throw your narrative full of 'spoilers' on people's throats just coz MDL allows you to do so. It's just wrong & I just wanted to highlight that.

This show isn't very popular with audience or else you would have already been told off for doing this.. Regardless, using spoiler tags is a basic courtesy to avoid ruining the experience for others & it’s something you really should keep in mind moving forward. Cheers.

Sorry, but for me his acting at best feels fit for a supporting role. He simply doesn’t have the range or screen presence to anchor a lead character on his own. There’s an awkwardness in most of his scenes that’s hard to ignore, visually not captivating & the way he overdoes certain moments makes it frustrating to immerse into the story as a lead character (wouldn't have bothered much had it been a supporting character).
Again it is also possible that pairing him with Shen yujie may be the reason, who clearly outshines him on the screen presence as well as on the visual front which comes across as jarring atleast for me.

Gave this a try only for Shen Yujie & below is my personal thoughts so far (you don't have to necessarily agree btw)

The male lead is a complete miscast. I don’t mind nepotism when the actor has the chops to back it up but this guy has no screen presence, no depth & not even the visuals to compensate & what's worse ? he doesn’t have the acting skills to make up for any of it as a main character. That’s what makes it all the more frustrating when you’ve got an alluring FL on the other side holding it down (strong words, yes.. but that's how I describe nepo kids that don't deliver & get main roles coz of their dad & connections)

Shen Yujie, on the other hand, is a force effortlessly commanding attention every time she’s on the frame. Became a big fan ever since Hard to Find & Only for Love where she’s proven that she doesn’t just act but owns the screen presence. Every frame she’s in feels elevated automatically for some reason. I’m seriously rooting for Coroner’s Diary to be the project that finally gives her the mainstream recognition she deserves. This one, I have to drop. Cannot stand this ML sadly..

Honestly I don't even care about the plot coz the guy playing Jin Wook’s got that kind of pull that’s just… unreal even if his role could be pretty small. His on screen aura is off the charts & when he’s in a scene with Je Na? that Instant tension.. uff 🥵 I swear, if we don’t get at least one kiss between them even if it’s not a romance show, I’m gonna be seriously disappointed.

P.S. Casting Kim Min Kyu for S2 was a genius move. TikTok is literally flooded with his edits and honestly that alone is pulling in viewers by the dozen. I mean, I’m one of them too 😅

Can't argue much at all. I gave it a 3/10 only coz I like some of the actors whose potential got wasted so bad. This project should never have seen daylight fr if you ask me

Just FFed through the rest & still didn’t find a single scene that sparked even mild curiosity. Straight-up borefest. Like damn, do they really have that much surplus money & time to waste on this kind of filler-tier garbage? Not one actor stood out & esp. Sehun character casting? Wild choice, considering the whole plot revolves around him. His character was the human equivalent of white noise like bro was dull, lifeless & painfully one-dimensional. He floated through 8 episodes with the energy of a loading screen. 0 depth, 0 screen presence. Whole thing felt like a passionless project made for tax write-offs.

3 episodes in & I’m already bored outta my mind. Sehun’s character as the ML just ain’t giving at all... Bro is dull as dishwater, zero charm & not even a flicker of intrigue. Besides that the plot isn't any interesting either so far.

It's a good thing they released all at once so you could atleast FF & be done with it. Weekly release would have been disastrous for such a hot mess without any hint of intrigue or even some story to tell.

I get the hate for the FL, but damn, the ML’s constant forced smiling and that smirky face were next-level cringe. Like bro, we get it...you're trying to act all casual but do you really need to flash your teeth every two seconds? Basically his facial expressions were ultra cringe & annoying like he was trying too much. But when he gets into his serious mode, it was actually very good. So all that childish forced antics were severe turn off.

This is just bad, like seriously. Too much forced comedy in serious moments completely kills the storytelling for me. And what’s worse? They’re giving so much screentime to her cheating husband and that so-called bestie, throwing in all these ‘comedy’ scenes between them when they apprently kicked the FL & her kids out of her own house (as the FL herself pointed out in EP1). Like seriously, are we supposed to find them funny now? Or what exactly is the expectation here? This is what annoys me the most like taking morally trash behavior and dressing it up as ‘funny’ like we’re supposed to be entertained. Duh
