Again, maybe novel readers can correct me if I am looking for the wrong thing in this show. When I started this,…
This is the answer i was looking for. Thank you so much. So based on novel what I understand is that, her smarts isn't equal to ML but she does have her own levels of wit which we saw in the released episodes. Then seems like the show is staying true to her novel character. Sadly it isn't my cup of tea but released episodes were good, so will give it few more episodes to see if her character goes beyond my threshold xD Thanks again !!

I'm not sure what your criteria is for her intelligence but she's plenty smart here. She knows how to read a room,…
Yeah i dropped it coz of the FL. I cannot stand her acting xD But no worries, I have watched my fair share of headstrong FLs. :)

The drama portrayed the FL quite accurate IMO. In the novel, the FL is never the brazenly over the top in your…
oops. so she will remain like this throughout the show/novel? Like she doesn't standup to ML in terms of wit & strength directly but always uses her softness as a means to coax him? Unfortunately it isn't something I like but thanks for the headsup :)

That's basically my point no? I was just hoping she would have the street smarts to outwit anyone trying to harm her. But she only shows glimpses instead of a headstrong FL with wit. Like i said, I haven't read the novel. So maybe the FL character here is true to the novel. I was just explaining why if the FL was such a character, it wouldn't be my cup of tea.

Hah, 'plenty' is an exaggeration clearly. Not sure what made you think what she showed was 'plenty'. It wasn't by any case. She literally gave away the seal without vetting the ML properly, she initially seemed to have a plan for siding with liu yan but then got surprised when he had other plans to blow up the dam. She did save it eventually but at what cost? Almost lost her life in process... that's not 'plenty' intelligence for me. That's why I said , she shows signs of some intelligence here and there but that's just not enough to pit herself against the ML. So it's lopsided at the moment & that's not my cup of tea.

Again, maybe novel readers can correct me if I am looking for the wrong thing in this show. When I started this, I was hoping for a strong 'enemies to lovers' arranged marriage trope with smart FL & ML trying to outwit each other at every chance they get. I am a big sucker for this trope. That's what I got from the synopsis . But what I got from the 5 episodes is that the ML here seems to have the upper hand over her all the time. The novel discussions thread doesn't inspire me either. So please give me a hint if this is not to be expected from this show based on the novel. Lol, coz I don't wanna trouble myself further if this is the case :)

I certainly liked the 5 episodes and it had a good setup for story to follow. However I hope the FL gets better than what she was shown in these 5 episodes coz I was hoping for her to be stronger & smarter than this based on the synopsis & not be a damsel in distress for ML to save her everytime (like twice already in 5 episodes). I hate nothing more than a lopsided ML & FL in terms of wit when ML borders himself around toxicity. For now, I am on the fence with her character. Coz she shows some signs of being intelligent & witty here and there but that feels more like a forced attempt to show her as intelligent than her actually outwitting people. But again, I will reserve my judgement for now coz her character could become better later.

I haven't read the novel but it's clear from the novel discussions forum that ML was super toxic in the novel...Ofcourse I don't think they will also go for all those r..e scenes with FL as well.. For now, they haven't shown any signs of him being a total red flag but 36 episodes is a long time. Things can change. So I hope we don't have a submissive FL for such a ML. It will put me off completely & totally hate that kind of plot. Fingers crossed.

The age gap tag is not only for the mains it can be for the second leads or even the support leads
Please check my other comment under the same reply. I have linked dramas with this tag. It seems for MDL, 5 years age gap already warrants this tag. So kind of stupid imo

Just found another drama - Here both leads and supporting characters don't seem to have big age gap at all (it's 5 years bet main leads same as here) & yet the tag is still there. So i guess what you said may not be true at all. In fact found another drama with same leads & it has the same age gap tag. These leads have 5 year age gap. So it's obvious the tag is here in this show because of the main leads age gap coz MDL considers 5 years as a age gap. This is super weird & stupid

Ah right, then it makes sense. I didn't think the tags also focussed on secondary characters coz it always had 'supporting character' added to it.

Can someone tell me what is the rule behind MDL's ' Age Gap [Real Life]" tag? I feel it's very misleading when the actual age gap is just 5 years between the leads. I would have thought this tag is meant as a warning for those super huge age gaps which some viewers find it unappealing or not suit their taste. But I am seeing these tags for even 5-10 years age gaps in some shows?

How does this work? Does that mean Lee Da In is also cutting ties with her sister Lee Yoo Bi and mum? That is…
This is purely just for PR. His career needs to survive now, so they have to pretend like cutting ties (and there's nothing wrong with it btw). As you know korean public are unforgiving, so he is just disassociating publicly so that his career can thrive. Obviously his wife wouldn't suddenly stop talking to her parents or her sis esp. with a new born kid. lol

Tried watching this coz of MDL ratings only to drop within few episodes. Unbearable ML & his cringey way of obsession towards FL & borderline stalkish ( like the scene where he overhears FL phonecall & goes to her house. It was an instant turnoff for me personally... duhh). I mean I can take a little bit of childish antics here and there but not like a whole a$$ personality. I am sure he probably got better later or something but I simply couldn't continue watching a supposed doctor acting like an obsessed weirdo.

It started good, dragged a lot in middle but eventually tied the plot well at the end but however it has to be said that it's such a major disappointment we didn't get to see the badass version of FL we saw in earlier episodes for the major part of the show. I had same feeling like naksu character from Alchemy of souls. You cannot help but wanting to see more of that characte but the show ended up depriving of it. I personally think they dragged the amnesia plot far too long but nevertheless a good watch.

This should have higher ratings and views. Easily one of the best mini dramas I have seen. I am surprised this has only 7.5 here

Right, got it. That pretty much explains I guess. I do hope she gets her break tbh. From whatever I have seen of her, she is also a very good actress. Deserves a breakthrough

Just finished watching ep1 as much as I love Jiyeon, her and SJ have absolute 0 chemistry I’m not kidding. I…
Like you said, Bona and SJ have been friends for a long time in their own words. She even said that she never thought she would kiss him. I haven't seen the episode but I guess that should explain it. It's probably the awkwardness between them. Seasoned actors have a way to overcome such awkwardness with professional delivery but these leads aren't very experienced. So that's probably it

Is zhao qing and wang xing yue under same agency or something? I guess this is like her 3rd project already with him? Unfortunately doesn't get paired with him in any of the three though :/

Title Eat Run Love
At present almost every Asian dramas or Hollywood movies are same recycled stories, its just that some make them…
Yep, that's my point as well basically. It's easy to enjoy cliche plots when it's done right with some innovation on the screenplay or atleast gripping story telling. For ex: If you see the first episode at airport & convenience shop where ML & FL were close to meet each other yet they don't meet (haven't we seen this like million times already? lmao). And after all that build up , their reunion was at a damn crossfit challenge. Lol, it put me off directly from there. I mean this could be the same situation in novel but you don't have to direct the exact same thing here no? A little innovation doesn't hurt. Reeks of poor making so far.
