Not gonna lie, there’s really nothing much to see here except for the eye candy leads. Just being real. It’s the same recycled, cookie-cutter plot we’ve seen a million times. You can already tell it’s gonna be cliché af the second they hit us with those totally-not-forced coincidences of the ML & FL bumping into each other after years (like… how many times are we doing this? Some innovation please? I beg ya directors to write better even if it's based on a novel). I am not a hater of cliche tropes btw but I expect some compelling direction/story telling when you are handling a recycled plot. Not the case here.

And even that reunion scene was total meh. No spark, no feels.. just flat. Their backstory doesn’t hit either so far. Everything’s been mid. I am gonna give couple more eps but not promising or interesting for me.

I get that it is a short drama & to have least expectations on these things but anyone else feel the story isn't flowing coherently at all? Like I can't even feel coherence from one episode to next or even the scenes with how badly they cut from one scene to another. It bugs me a lot but nevertheless the main leads look hot af. So that's enough for now to keep going.

I would have liked the acting to make up for that but personally for me, it isn't giving either. But it also could be the case that having seen other way better performances of similar characters is clouding my judgement as well. Nevertheless it's just my personal pov from whatever I have seen of him till now.

yeah, I mean I know every actor have their own limits. WXY comparison was just to draw a parallel as to what sort of acting or atleast to an extent of what I would expect for a similar character from a recent example. This actor clearly is way far off from it based on whatever I have seen till now & I am unable to just shrug it off since he is supposed to give the 'capable' ML aura. Maybe that's just me haha but I stick with my judgement.

The point is the screen presence & his acting. Not about going over the top to prove his 'ruthlessness' & nowhere in my comment I hinted that either. His acting feels super unnatural for this character as the expressions feels quite artificial & forced like he is trying hard to look badass & yet failing miserably at that. I can name other MLs who have pulled off similar characters with ease as well. WXY was just a recent example to make a point about elevating your acting for similar roles. You are free to disagree obv.

I am sorry but this ML just simply doesn’t have the main lead aura at all & his acting is very so-so. I am not sure if he is popular or anything but he is a severe eye sore here for me & unable to carry that supposed ruthless, commanding aura but instead feels artificial & forced.

(Maybe it’s just me but ever since I saw wang xingyue nail a similar role in Double, it becomes an eye sore for me when some MLs butcher the similar type of roles like this one here 🤦🏻‍♂️)

Ok, Sae ron’s mother latest statement shows she still has conscience and openly asked him to admit the relationship of dating the minor. Thank god. I was scared she would let money blind her again.

Nah, I meant like even at the time of passing she didn’t feel the need to expose him & just only ended her life. She could have easily posted the incriminating evidence before her passing. Basically that was your first hint about her true intention behind this whole expose. It was to lure him out so that they can negotiate. Hence the evidences were being dropped one by one. Now that the agency has offered a meeting, they will negotiate for a hefty sum and then they will probably close it with a narrative that suits both sides with some half ass apology.
