That was a weird finish. I can even forgive everything being rushed but the whole obsession of nanlu prince with a married FL was giving me extreme ick. Like bro kept on asking her to come with him to nanlu when she was still married & FL's response (in terms of dialogue) weren't strong enough either. And even when he dies he still shamelessly says 'Since I cannot have you either' before he offs himself. I was like ..bro, when did you even have a chance in the first place? You don't even know her that well 😂 I mean we needed more episodes if they wanted to show him becoming obsessed with FL despite her being married instead of bringing him so late into the plot. This whole sequence felt super weird for me.

Nevertheless this will be an enjoyable watch if you don't dwell too much into the plot holes & dialogues. Overall an enjoyable time pass watch for me (8/10). Also the main leads were just too much of an eye candy.

People are allowed to criticize a fictional show however they want.. that’s literally what a comment section is for. You don’t get to police what others can or can’t say just because it doesn’t align with your opinion. Telling people to 'go watch something else' just because they voiced a dislike is a terribly condescending behavior which you seem to casually exhibit. You still have time to correct this shoddy behavior of yours coz I just saw you trying to police someone above as well. You literally called your own preference 'clean romance' in one of your comments below specifically because the show doesn’t have kissing scenes & then questioned why others get frustrated over lack of intimacy. That’s not just 'sharing an opinion' but it’s lowkey shading what others enjoy. No one’s mad at LHC for her choices. My comment was specific to people like you who frame intimacy as something lesser. You're entitled to your taste, but don’t act like you weren’t implying judgment. At the very least own up to what you did instead of whitewashing it. Period.

Just because you don’t like or understand it doesn’t mean others have to conform to your preferences. Stop treating your personal discomfort like it’s some moral high ground. It’s not. People have every right to expect intimacy in the fiction they consume & that’s the entire point of storytelling which is to explore human connection in all forms. I have not seen this FL actress works before but she is so friggin cute & has portrayed her character brilliantly so far. It's good she is very young. Plenty of potential

As you would expect from a 4+ year old show... Full of cringe stuff & forced comedy. I appreciate them dropping 6 eps. It made it easier to judge & drop. Not for me

Such a good actress in her prime being wasted away.. She is easily one of those better actor idols out there from a handful of em... Hopefully atleast she gets her freedom once she is in her forties *smh*

Just when I genuinely thought this show was on the right track until episode 12 🤦

I get that the ML is meant to be an anti-hero, but him literally strangling the FL until she passed out? That crossed a line & gave me a severe ick that I won't be able to see him the same way again when they get together later. I mean I’m not against morally grey characters when it’s done right but if he’s going to be that dark, then don’t turn around later and try to sell him as the romantic lead she’s supposed to end up with. As far as I can see, she is already still clinging on to him despite this in next episode covering her strangling marks on her neck & that's already a massive turn off. Ewww (surprisingly the screenwriter team is full of women.. wth? 🤦)

It’s not edgy, it’s just toxic & trivialises abusive behaviors. I know Thai shows have a history of normalising such tropes but I was hoping this one would be different. The suspense and thrill had been solid up until now, but this episode was such a letdown. I honestly expected better. I might still try to watch it though forgetting the romance part completely purely for the suspense maybe but not so sure now.

I am struggling to understand why a totally non problematic, sweetest, healthy relationship portraying shows like this one is rated less. The show was so endearing from the start to the end for me. No toxicity, full of warmth. I felt so good throughout.

I mean that's why I was wondering if thai dramas could go into that levels of intricate story telling where smaller humiliations are a mere ploy for something bigger later. Maybe I am expecting too much haha.

It's just my guess coz even if he becomes chairman his position is at risk with so many evil members within the family. So it could be that he wants to eliminate all the threats before making him chairman. But again maybe thai dramas haven't gotten to that intricate levels of story writing yet

I think he knows already. He keeps telling his other son to leave mek and monmeena alone. I suspect making him lose that position is probably a part of his grander scheme of things. Coz he is obviously terminally ill & probably wants to clean up things for his son before he passes away

Like I said, my expectation was based on the synopsis and not novel. If you read the synopsis here, it's natural you would assume we have a equal ML & FL in terms of wit right? But like others mentioned, it seems that's not the case in novel. So indeed explains why I was disappointed with her character.
