Just finished ep 8 and I think you're spot on. I also enjoy Pahn who plays KK's sister.
The romance is not working for me either. And Ohm, who is normally a good actor, seems to over-act here. There really is a lot of pain and suffering. :(
this drama doesn't need 18 episodes, it is starting to feel really slow
They pace felt really good up until EP 14. They always resolved tension/conflicts pretty quickly. Then Nub's securities came out and it did feel like her relationship with Kim was set back. I feel bad for Kim.
I so appreciate how big hearted and mature the main characters are: Nub not getting jealous over Meena or Tan being very fair toward Kim even though they are rivals. I like the clear message here: there are more important things in life than winning.

Minjun is certainly a cold-hearted calculating capitalist. Foei does a great job as Minjun, by the way. Actually I enjoy all the characters in this EP. I cannot root for some of them because of their lack of moral but they all make sense in their own way. They just all seem very real, very human, and relatable, each with flaws and imperfections. Each EP always feels too short, though. I feel so absorbed in the story that time passes by way too quickly.
Now we have to wait 6 more days for the next EP! Argghhh!

I wonder if Nub was conscious during Kim's monologue and kiss. But I hope they clear the misunderstanding from 5 yrs ago in the next EP. Can't wait either!!
