Netflix subs for this aren’t good. The only way I can describe it is that the sentences and words lack depth. It’s almost like they don’t trust the viewer to understand words based on context and is too simplistic

hmm. I'd say the way he carries himself straightens up a lot when others come into the room and gets pretty serious. Around Gongsun and the Princess, he stays chill, but the energy seems more like serious strategist energy when he's talking to Gongsun about the war.
It seems like this is the actor's interpretation of the character. He got all dark before, if I remember right, one of those scenes was the scene where he beat up that guy who hurt ChagYu's eyes. There was another scene like that, too, where he seemed a bit deadly, but I forget which now. So, I guess the question is now whether you think his interpretation of this character is right. I didn't read the book, so idk much about the source material.
