My favourite part of this has been the core story and character design of the two leads. I'd read this story if it were a book in a heartbeat. I'd love the characters and story it more fleshed out than its been done here

In Episode 13, everything from the moment he woke up from his coma (11:13 mins-12:15 mins), the lighting, and the white of the hanbok, the emotions portrayed in the moment, the gaze, the thoughtful putting away of her hair - made me go "MSM, I see your future, and it's bright!!!!". 😂So silly, but that was literally the thought that came to my head. Has to be one of the best-directed scenes in the whole show.

That performance is what I like to describe as Jun Ho’s lifetime performance. The Red Sleeve is still my favorite. I can’t help but remember that sometimes while I watch this too. The FLs are both stubborn in a similar way too. MSM is okay so far and improving steadily. His acting used to be pretty weak imo so I’m pleased to see progress. I hope he gets better and better and better so I can someday see such a performance from him.
So far the staff on this show have done pretty good all around. Though the writing, acting, and directing aren’t as stone solid as TRS, I’m still happy I picked it up

Her acting is not bad at all. what this about? she’s portraying the character accurately. A young woman that struggles with managing responsibility, that can also be self involved and suddenly has a lot to manage but is trying to do her best but is still making mistakes and still childish- what about her portrayal is bad? is this another hate train?! I’m so done with hate trains against female leads on this site. I’m so done

I’m surprised that there are complaints. Her acting is great and both their characters are new to this situation and have a lot of flaws. They’re not always likeable but that’s okay. They have a lot to learn. The actress is just portraying a character

I agree. He deserves to be free but it’s not his destiny. It’s pretty saddening to me but I someone has to save the people. Eun Jo definitely loves the people more, though she loves him. Her sense of Justice is just really strong. He’ll make such a great king and she knows he can do it. I don’t think he’ll hate it a lot either. He likes to be useful anyway. He stayed away from politics and serving the people completely to protect his mother. It’s a stuffier life in general and he suits leisure so well, so it’s a bit regretful but it is what it is
