The best part was you never knew what was going to happen next, especially when they got together in love cause you knew it wont last for long!!! I still say to this day, I have one and only one complaint and thats when that princess kissed him. I have been corrected by other viewers that it wasnt a kiss, because ML lips did not respond back but still....I didnt want her lips anywhere near him lols she grossed me out.

Yay!!!!!!! Congratulations from New Zealand, this was the best historical I have seen!!!!! I have watched most korea historicals and it was a nice change to watch a drama from the perspective of prisoners of war. The two leads were new to me and they played their roles perfecto. I feel so empty now its finished I even have their main tune over and over in my head. Love love love. <3

You need to remember it's a 2009 drama and the acting then was over the top at times. Though I have watched k/historicals around that time such as Empress Ki and they seem to get better each year. I never would have watched this drama because I dodged any dramas before 2010 but I am currently watching the new 2023 k/historical Goryeo-Khitian War which is the same period of time and the same people (King Taejo and his descendants) and it is really interesting to watch both at the same time alongside Wikipedia lols I note a lot of royalty over the many many years seem to die really young and with kings remaining not very long periods. I would put that down to long-term stress being a factor!! Wouldnt of been a very happy life having to look over your shoulder 24/7 trying not to be killed.

So who got sucked in and thought it was Gil Chae and Jang Hyun getting married towards the end hahahaha and I got so nervous because everything was so happy and laughing I really expected the palace gang to come in and spoil everything. Yeon Jun has always been a weak hypocrite and very jealous of Jang Hyun. He secretly loved Gil Chae for years so what is he going on about? I dont want to watch 11. See how strong I ma tomorrow.

Awesome to see a happy ending for the mains, FL is soooooo funny, I love all her dramas. A bit different, but was refreshing to watch a different historical story-line. Also didnt anticipate such a open ended ending lols I still enjoyed it.

hahaha I get like that too. On young lady and a Gentleman, Park Ha Na plays such a nasty violent bully role here that ironically when I found her acting as an domestic violent victim I really couldnt sympathise with her. Which says alot for her acting I soppose, the more you hate them means they are performing perfectly in their role.

As we come to the end here, I have now started to watch Goryeo - Khitan War which goes back six centuries from My Dearest. Two episodes and feels like it's going to be a goody. Gosh though, I take my hat off to South Korean actors and actresses and the many different roles they undertake perfectly for whatever genre and era!! The same actors can look like middle school children right up to their seventies sometimes lol What I am realsing is when I think I have watched an actor/ess for the first time and look at what other dramas they act in, Ive already watched quite a few!! I think Oh far out !!!!

Just about to watch Episode 9 of My Dearest 2. I saw some comments that episode 9 was going to be aired next week so I thought I would let yous know.

I am hoping that he has cheated death so many times that it will end up all for nothing if they end it with his death. If ever a happy ending is needed it is this drama.

Yes he was. Splendid Politics 2015 is a good drama to watch about King Gwanjae and his son King Injo.

Ironically I was watching Splendid Politics at the same as My Dearest and found they both were about the same era and people. I kept thinking this storyline looked familiar. They both are about a certain Quin invasion .

Oh, man!!! I so didn't want him to kiss that ugly princess after all she's done to him the narcissist bitch, she's so full of herself and it felt like he was cheating on FL. I reckon that princess is going to be the death of him in the end.

Gosh, this historical has me looking forward to but dreading each episode as it comes!! I get really sad when they separate but very anxious when they are together if you know what I mean!!! The two main leads are one of the best K-drama couples ever. So much sizzle chemistry just when they look at each other. I really love this series as it is not very common that there are historicals based around royal hostages, prisoners and slaves. Looking forward to the next episodes going by the previews <3

I'm wondering, when she returns to Simlang she is no longer a captive but now part of the Joseon envoy? So that ugly Mongolian princess shouldn't be able to touch her now, what a cheek!!!!!! But now she has to be very wary of Ryung and his dumb jealousy.

I dropped this many times due to FL and her wimpy ways. She was cruel with words, and never took care of her own safetly which is why the mother inlaw hated about her. Used the word hate many times. Very ungrateful. I didnt think she was mind blowing beautiful as portrayed. She also led her ex boyfriend on.

I wish they had another FL, this one looked middle-aged, older than the Dr lead, and whats with all the poker faces with no emotion? Absolutelty her fault why ML was so angry at all in the way she chose to break up and the hateful words she said. Gosh too many males chasing after her, why?????
