In the end, that's all that matters to some. All four received equal pay, and that's what equal billing means. And…
I get what you mean, but that mindset is also kind of the problem.

Sometimes C-dramas feel like they suffer because too much emphasis is placed on who’s headlining or who’s the “main,” when it should really be about the acting and the impact of the character. Being first-billed doesn’t automatically mean the performance is the most memorable.

There are so many examples where side characters completely steal the show. Like Heath Ledger’s Joker, not the “main hero,” but arguably the most iconic part of the film. Or Severus Snape, not the main character, yet one of the most impactful arcs in the entire series.

At the end of the day, what people remember isn’t billing order, it’s who delivered the strongest performance and left the biggest impression.

No, I won’t be angry because I don’t have these so-called “favorites.” Sure, I have actors and actresses…
I get what you’re saying, billing, screen time, and presentation do matter in the industry, especially for fans who follow actors closely.

But honestly, the whole screen time issue is so overblown. It takes away from what should actually matter, like the acting, the emotional delivery, and how well the story is executed. Instead of talking about performances or character depth, everything gets reduced to “who got more minutes,” which feels very surface-level.

At the end of the day, more screen time doesn’t automatically mean better impact. A well-acted scene with less time can leave a stronger impression than someone just being on screen more often.

Here we go again with the screentime discourse 🙄

If you want to criticize the acting, go ahead, that actually makes sense. But constantly complaining about how many minutes your favorite appears? Come on.

If all you care about is seeing your fave on screen, maybe just print out their photo and stare at it. That way, you’ll get 100% screentime, no interruptions.

Before this, when did he give the spotlight to his own actors and which actors were they?
Criticize the actors for acting, sure go ahead with it.

I really do not care if he took it because of "connection" as long as he could do his job well. Of which, he clearly did.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see GJM give spotlights to his own actor because it’s not his first time doing…
No, I won’t be angry because I don’t have these so-called “favorites.” Sure, I have actors and actresses I enjoy watching, but first and foremost, it’s always the storyline for me.

I have dropped dramas even from those actors and actressed that I enjoy watching because the storyline didn't captivate me.

At the end of the day, the story will naturally center more on certain characters depending on the plot. That doesn’t automatically mean others are being used or treated unfairly, it just means the narrative requires focus at certain points.

Also, having more identities, heavier scenes, or more screen presence isn’t just “promotion”, it’s also a demanding role that comes with more pressure and responsibility. And he did a fantastic job at acting them.

I get wanting balance, but not everything has to be equal at every moment. Sometimes it’s just how the story is structured, not favoritism.

The ending problem is Wang yan has no memory, may be Ji Ling and Wu Yi also have no memory. How I see memory loss…
Their love is so profound that even without their memories, their souls still recognize each other, and the drama has shown this repeatedly.

LWY accompanied JL as a doll at a time when she didn’t even exist yet. Later, when JL created the puppet, the one with his heart still ended up falling in love with LWY.

Even when JL went back in time to prevent LWY from receiving the stone, she still made that same gesture with her hand.

In their new life, LWY was picking up raspberries (which were JL's favorite) and JL was working in a flower shop (and LWY's favorite thing are flowers)

All of this shows that no matter the timeline and universe, their souls always remember each other.

And even WWY, when she woke up, felt sad for waking up from a dream but doesn't understand why

Yeah the bar was set so high lol. Unique plot, unpredictable plot twists, no love triangles, no annoying characters,…
Jiu Yung is actually goated as a villian. Smart and powerful and just plain evil. No excuses for a rough past or something. Besides, it took everything from the main and side characters to defeat JY
