Episode 36 (final):

We continued with convo of Lin Da informing Mujia that he sold his hometown house (for their company). Scenes of Mujia looking for investors/partnerships for their proposal and she finally found someone. Company passed their unstable period and is finally able to rise up. Mujia and employees celebrate over hotpot. Mujia called Tian Rong to tell her the good news and thank her.

WB called Tian Rong to inform her that Client Li borrowed money with high interest rates. Client Li very shaken and said he doesn't even know how much he borrowed. Client Li told WB he married right by marrying Tian Rong and this family in the future will have to rely on Tian Rong. Client Li then fainted. We find out that Client Li has been borrowing money all these years in order to buy houses.

Client Li in ICU. His final words "look for Tian Rong". He then passed away.

During mourning period, Tian Rong informed the relatives (that Client Li borrowed money from) to give them some time, that they will sell the houses Client Li brought and give them money back. WB absolutely devastated by the passing. Mujia there to support Tian Rong.

Tian Rong told Mujia that she thought she herself was obsessed with buying houses, but it was actually the father-son pair. Client Li left tons of debts behind. Mujia told Tian Rong that after they wrap up the funeral/mourning, she will help Tian Rong to calculate everything and figure out a solution.

Mujia rushed back to landscape company since one of the plant products they needed to give to client tomorrow had some issues. Mujia, Lin Da, and other employees managed to repot them in time. Lin Da confessed his feelings for Mujia and said he liked her ever since their first meeting at the hotpot place when she helped to move the plant away when they took pictures, so it won't have gotten hurt. Mujia turned him down because career > love for her at this point. And Mujia dating Lin Da might affect her work.

Lin Da: "I will wait for you!"
Mujia: "Don't wait for me, thank you though!"

WB drinking away. WB feels guilty for not being able to help his dad return money. He then ask if Tian Rong can use her money she got from selling to help return debt. Tian Rong informed WB she invested those money already (remember this money she gave to Mujia). WB upset and blamed Tian Rong for not lending him the money back then for apartment building because he ended up asking his dad (who then borrow more to give to WB). Tian Rong scolded WB for trying to blame her and showed him all the documents with Client Li borrowing for a long time now. That she told them to sell the houses/don't buy apartment building but they didn't listen. Both of them cry under the weight of pending crushing debts.

Tian Rong and WB sell whatever they can sell (houses, car, etc.). Tian Rong and WB move back into one of the houses Tian Rong had before marriage (the one doctor Xiao Zhang is also renting from them). Tian Rong fainted and rest in the hospital. Tian Rong tells Mujia how because of greed, she lost it all. Mujia tells Tian Rong that she still has Mujia, WB, one house, and she is an investor with investment in the landscape company. WB apologized to Tian Rong and admitted that he was greedy. He told his dad before that marrying Tian Rong was his greatest accomplishment, that he will follow Tian Rong, and do whatever work he has to do. Tian Rong said she believes him. That 12 years ago, she had nothing, she will just restart again. Doctor came in and we find out Tian Rong is pregnant!

Mujia gets a call that Li Ming Company is interested in investing in landscape company again as landscape company made a revival. Contracts signed. Executive Fan told Mujia that all investors agreed with this investment (aka not favoritism). Landscape company opened up a bigger office.

Tian Rong and WB opened up a noodle restaurant (WB cooks). Tian Rong at 24 weeks at this point. Their business has been good, and Tian Rong and WB have been really happy. Mujia got a call about bonuses with the landscape company and Tian Rong is getting one too (since she invested in the landscape company) so they are extra happy haha. Tian Rong brags about making good investment and WB praises her.

Mujia brought her dream place in JLW! She video called her mom to show her mom the place because mom will also be moving in there. Mom feeling emotional/happy.

Mujia: "A home is only a home with mom" (this is a callback to when Mujia's mom mentioned how after the dad abandoned them, little Mujia told her that her mom is her home).

Mujia's mom" "You really grew up, mom's place is wherever you are, wherever you go, mom will go".

Li Guang back from his work trip. Mujia went to the place he and Li Guang had a date and think about their memories there. Li Guang also went there at a different time.

Time passes, Mujia's monologues of the past 10+ years and flashbacks of those years. Current Mujia stops by the law firm and sees the Mujia from 10+ years ago. 22 years old Mujia ask if current Mujia has anything she wants to tell her.

Mujia: "Every hard work is award; every loss is an experience. In this road of life, whether we go right or left, light is at the end" (not word for word, just my summary of the quote).

22 years old Mujia: "Bye Lee Mujia"
Current Mujia: "Bye Lee Mujia"

They then walk pass each other (22 years old Mujia into the law firm and current Mujia walking away from it).

Mujia later encounters Li Guang. They smile and reintroduce themselves to each other.

Review/summary of final episode aka episode 36 (I loved the ending, I cried lol) under spoiler:

Li Guang actually offered to hire Mujia for Li Ming Company and take in the landscape company to have it run by someone else in the latest episode but Mujia already turned him down. I personally don't really want any more of the business entanglements between Mujia and Li Guang because I feel like Li Guang uses it to keep Mujia near him (even during their relationship) and it always made me wary because I want Mujia to be financially/career-wise separated from him as much as possible. It didn't sit right with me during the past episode when he removed Mujia from the landscape project since he felt Lin Da had feelings for her back then and Mujia couldn't argue/fight because he was the client...

For sure, Tian Rong and Wan Bing needs to adjust to their new life and Wan Bing needs to either accept that he isn't great at the whole house buying/selling business/be okay with that or find something else he wants to do not because of others' expectations or his own insecurity to try to match Tian Rong.

Yeaaaah, and I think some viewers get too invested in the male love interests that they start nitpicking on the female characters for not sticking through with the male love interests... the male love interest can do/say one thing and it did be they love the FL so much (while also ignoring all the other red flag decisions due to them being selfish, insecure, etc.). It is very reflective of real life sadly.

More good news, the drama will also start airing on Zhejiang Television starting on 9/2. Seems like they picked it up with how well it did on CCTV too.

As of episode 35 (second to last episode), they are only work partners. Lin Da does like her though. Mujia is more focused on the work aspect. Not sure it this changes or not in episode 36/final episode.

In the novel, he was her 3rd boyfriend, and they didn't end well either like her other romantic relationships.

Haha there is nowhere to go but up at this point. 🤣

Tian Rong at this point just want to enjoy life + have a child now since she wants to get her hands away from buying/selling houses at this point (she doesn't want to take risks anymore), but WB is the main problem with them being the reverse of each other now (WB before wanting to enjoy life, Tian Rong buying/selling houses and now the opposite and part of it is just WB feeling insecure).

Mujia basically hanging on but thankfully she has very supportive people in her life that wants her to succeed/willing to invest in her (Tian Rong, mom, etc.). All she and Lin Da really need at this point is for their proposal to be accepted by an investor interested. So we shall see what happens.

I think the female characters would have been dragged so badly if it adapted as it was. 😞 Women in general already gets blamed a lot so I am sure viewers would have said the novel female characters deserved it, etc.

Episode 34:

Tian Rong and Mujia continues to discuss about the buying of that building. Mujia says even earning money has its own rules. Tian Rong said Mujia's problem is always following rules and now she doesn't have a man nor a house. Tian Rong brings up Li Guang (that she should had stayed with him) and then Lin Da. Mujia got annoyed and clarified that she and Li Da are just work partner and she isn't WB so there is no need for her to teach/guide her. *For context: Tian Rong has been making some comments here and there that might seem harmless/jokes but it has been rubbing WB the wrong way.

Tian Rong said Mujia is already 30 years old and Mujia said so? Tian Rong said Mujia changed and doesn't want to see Tian Rong doing well. Mujia said Tian Rong is the one who changed, and she doesn't realize how big ego has gotten. Mujia also ripped the house contract and disagree with Tian Rong buying that building.

Tian Rong tells WB she and Mujia got into a fight and WB tells Rong if he wants to go tell Mujia that he is the one who wants to buy it. Rong said no.

Lin Da at work gave Mujia back the cactus she brought episodes ago that he brought back to life at her request (the cactus was part of Mujia's thought process to leave law firm because the cactus was basically dying in the office despite cactus only needing a bit of water to live, she saw her future at the law firm like the cactus). Mujia thanked Lin Da and Lin Da said nah it is simple. Mujia said she thinks it is not simple. Lin Da noticed Mujia being sad and Mujia told him about the fight with Tian Rong. Lin Da said Tian Rong right with them having to do everything themselves, don't got money to hire more money, etc. LMAO

Mujia and Lin Da met Li Guang for one of the projects. Lin Da wants to buy a field but Li Guang disagreed since it is a waste of money for them right at this time (and instead to wait couple of years later to buy tons of them). Li Guang said they invested in the landscape company for the business model. Mujia asked Li Guang as an investor, what are his suggestions? Li Guang asked Mujia to stay back to talk. Li Guang tells Mujia to warn Lin Da that passion is not enough, there needs to be a plan for foundations or else their company won't last. Li Guang then tells Mujia if it wasn't for her, he won't be as attentive towards this project. Li Guang said he wants to see Mujia's dreams come true.

Seems like it is around 2015 now. Tian Rong, WB, and client Li watching the news about constant buying of second handed houses and selling it. Client Li looks worried here.

Mujia and Lin Da talks about his desire to buy a field/green house. He feels it is necessary because flowers/plants don't just come out of nowhere. So many people don't care about the process of growing them, and only the result but that they can't just manifest plants out of nowhere for projects, so he wanted his own field to grow to have them on hand.

Mujia and Lin Da argues about buying the field.

WB video calls Mujia about a news and said she did forgive Tian Rong if she hears this news. Rong is pregnant! Mujia said yes, she forgives her now LMAO. Tian Rong said she forgives her too. Mujia is asked to be the godmother.

Chen Qing's husband looking at a pic of their daughter (who is no longer a baby/more of a toddler now). Reminder their toddler has been living with the Chen Qing's parents. Husband upset with the way they are currently living. They argued about CQ wanting stability (stay in Beijing/has her career here) versus husband's need for freedom/go where the wind takes them based on his work. CQ ran off to cry and husband went to comfort her. Husband started talking about why they worked so hard (so their family will be good/happy). But because of work, they barely see their daughter anymore in person. He also apologized to CQ.

Mujia later went to Tian Rong/WB's house because it turns out it was false alarm with Tian Rong's pregnancy (the pregnancy stick indicated pregnant but line was too light so when they went to the hospital to confirm, turns out she wasn't pregnant). Rong really sad since she really wanted a child. Mujia comforts her. Rong questioned if she is too greedy from wanting houses to now even a baby, but she really wants a baby.

Tian Rong at some flower making event and find out other methods to increase chance of pregnancy.

Tian Rong and WB debate about selling that apartment building. Tian Rong wants to sell it now since the price increased a lot (and they got to start paying back loans, etc.), WB disagreed (he wants to wait to increase it more). Tian Rong decided that she will sell her own houses (the ones she brought under her name before marriage). They disagreed with each other on this too.

Mujia and Lin Da arguing about the purchase of the field. Lin Da brought it without Mujia's approval. The purchase was done with the investment money and Mujia said she can sue him for this (as she is co-partner, he needed her legal approval for this purchase). They argue about the use of that investment money (Lin Da focused on the creativity/passion side and Mujia focused on keeping the company alive) because now they are not meeting the goal needed for the business aka the company might shut down. Mujia also asked Lin Da how they are going to pay for this month's wages to the employees. Lin Da suggestion was to delay the pay and Mujia said they can't do that.

Lin Da met with several investors but no positive news. Their last potential investor cancelled on them too. Lin Da then met with Li Guang (he felt he should go alone since he caused this problem/needs to solve it himself). Lin Da requested Li Guang to visit the field they purchases because the field was long-term potential. They debated about business (big VS small) and the different practices. Li Guang questioned Lin Da if he thinks anyone would hear him if there wasn't Mujia. Lin Da said he did try regardless since he is young/has passion. Lin Da also mentions that for small companies like theirs, they need that type of courage to even compete. Lin Da also gives Li Guang stats and how much they can earn. Li Guang said rules are still rules. Li Guang also said entrepreteurs never lacked dreams/passion, but it is the direction in which they go around it. Wrong direction? Death. Lin Da said landscape company not dead yet. Li Guang said well that depends on when you give up and Lin Da said he won't give up. Li Guang then told him the 3rd investment only happened because of Mujia and that was how he even had the money to buy the field. Lin Da said him and Mujia are partners/allies and they will continue fighting.

So we know it is 2016 with all this happening and Mujia determined not to let the company collaspe (used her own savings).

Episode 35:

Tian Rong informed Client Li she is selling her houses. They talk about WB and Tian Rong feels like money is not as important when money can't keep her husband at home (WB has been coming home late). Client Li scolded WB for Tian Rong.

Tian Rong told WB she used to feel like buynig houses give her security but she is starting to feel burdened with that apartment building (the loan, the taxes, the interests, etc.) and she has a bad feeling. WB refuses and Tian Rong said she is not giving him the money from selling her houses for this apartment building.

1 year later/2017:

Chen Qing's husband's solar/temp career doing well. Chen Qing also brought daughrer back from her parents. Chen Qing made up her mind to basically follow her husband with daughter and move where his job will be instead of staying in Beijing. Mujia, Tian Rong, and WB sees them off.

Landscape company still barely surviving. Lin Da trying to convince Mujia to leave (back to law firm or somewhere else) since he didn't want to drag her down. Lin Da said Li Guang was right/impressive unlike him. Mujia said Li Guang can become Li Guang because he went through this exact route. Mujia refuses to give up, tells the employees they can leave if they want or stay if they want, told Lin Da to get his ass up and focus on the garden/greenhouse while Mujia will take care of the business/legal side. Mujia looked over the things the company has and sell whatever they ca sell for expenses.

Tian Rong and WB still trying to get pregnant. WB asked Client Li to borrow money since he has to pay interest/etc. related to that apartmenr building. Client Li gave him all he had already so he planned to sell something expensive he owned to help WB.

Mujia and Li Guang met at the resturant again and he asked about her. Mujia asked Li Guang whether he thinks the landscape still have any survival chance. Li Guang asked Mujia to join Li Ming Company and the company can take in the landscape company and have someone else run it. Mujia turned him down. Li Guang questioned if it was for Lin Da. Mujia said it is for herself. Mujia really like this job/co-workers/clients. She thinks there is a lot of opportunities to earn money in this world, but less opportunities to be reckless and remain sturdy despite it all. Li Guang lets Mujia know he is her backup if she needs it. Mujia disagree and said he is her career model/goal (aka she wants to be like him when it comes to career). Mujia leaves after business talks.

Mujia sold her brand bags and rents a cheaper place (she is moving there + new place for the landscape company). Mujia delegating tasks and finding ways to make money for landscape company to build it up again.

Tian Rong visited in the middle of a rainy night. Mujia feeling down and Tian Rong encourages her. Tian Rong scolds her for never listening to her and ask Mujia is she regrets all this. Mujia said she truly doesn't regret it. Tian Rong then ask Mujia how much money she needs. Tian Rong said she is investing in Mujia and Mujia said she won't disappoint her.

WB wantsTian Rong to lean him the money she got from selling her houses to pay for the debts of that apartment building. Tian Rong refuses.

Mujia created a proposal plan and managed to give it to a manager. The manager shady from the way he looks at Mujia and wants him to come join their company dinner. Mujia's friend who works for that manager warns her to be careful. Very tense dinner scene with the manager harrassing Mujia. Mujia managed to fend him off and talk about business which scared him off.

Mujia's mom visited her to give her the money Mujia had been sending her all these years (she didn't use any of it). Mom tells Mujia she is welcome to come back home anytime if she ever wants to stop working.

Lin Da and Mujia in the middle of a project and Lin Da informs Mujia he sold his hometown house.

Review/summary for episode 34-35 (sooooo long because it basically spans like around 2-3 years, I felt like I watch an entire movie with how much things happened in these 2 episodes) under spoiler:

I think Mujia has always been the type to make snap decisions and go for it. Even in the beginning when she first got rejected, she overheard the coffee talk and ran right back up to Lawyer Wu to tell her about it (most people would probably just accept the rejection or feel too embarrassed to try and beg for a chance). And then her talking about being an unpaid intern. Even with her house buying, she can decide to buy a house just from seeing it first/one time, but also as quickly no longer buy the house once those sellers try to rip her off. Even her breakups. It is like living life on an impulse in a way, but she makes sure she has no regrets with her decisions and live by them even if they aren't the best decisions.

There was actually build up to her leaving the law firm so for me it wasn't totally surprising. One of them was the cactus plant she brought episodes ago. It is basically a symbolism because the cactus was mentioned to be able to thrive with just some water/sunlight = Mujia. But when the cactus was raised in the law firm office, it started dying. Then we have Lawyer Wu who was Mujia's vision for the future. And that vision got shaken when she saw what Lawyer Wu went through and Lawyer Wu actually admitting she gave up a lot to be where she is now as a partner of the law firm. She lowkey had an early midlife crisis lmao because she starts thinking about the meaning of her life and where she wanted to be in 10 years. Her co-worker even told her she did be like Lawyer Wu aka a workaholic. The Lawyer Wu thing was also built up early on with Lawyer Wu having health problems, aways have medicines on hand, etc. Around this time, it has also been mentioned a couple of times by different characters that Mujia doesn't really look happy anymore.

For the landscape company, Mujia is technically still involved in the legal side of things, so she isn't totally away from the law expertise she is good at. If Lin Da didn't exist, I think she would still have left the law firm, maybe she did have her own law firm though instead of being involved in his company. But I think she was attracted by creating something with her own hands/building it from the grounds up and knowing the legacy will remain even if she is gone someday.

Also in the novel, Mujia basically had no choice but to leave the law firm. Her relationship with Li Guang was a mess/he gave her money for the breakup (reminder she was his mistress) and I think working at the law firm got so bad she had to leave (or she was fired I don't remember). Lin Da was her next boyfriend which explained why she joined his company.

The drama is trying to adapt this without Mujia being a mistress (meaning they had to find a way/logical enough explanation for her to leave law firm) and to also join Lin Da's company without being involved with him romantically (at this time).

I can see why people are upset she left law firm though since she was on track to be a partner and she is good at it. But I think the reason being unhappiness do work in my book since it did be so easy to just have her continue working there to make her successful on the surface. I think this drama definitely took a risk with her letting go such a good opportunity because of her unhappiness because not many people irl will have the courage to take that risk. They did stay unhappy at their stable/good job. But I think with Mujia's character setting of making snap decisions, it makes sense for her.

I don't think she is going to the liuliang star route at this point (might change so who knows). She doesn't really attract fans in the sense that she doesn't post like the common female liuliang stars like daily dance/cute/douyin challenges that did get people to tune in to her or dress in a certain way that liuliang stars do. She just acts, post pics, and call it a day like non-liuliang stars aka pretty lowkey.

And yeah, LLD at this point is considered a top contender when it comes to acting + speech (aka no need for dubbing because her diction is really good) in that 95 gen batch. And she is a 99-er so she got many more years to go too to get good scripts and put out good work. Not to mention she has shown the ability to be able to act in both idol dramas and realistic-type dramas... not many in that gen can do both. Plus, it seems like her dramas tend to air on TV which is kind of rare for that gen (usually they are stuck online).

Episode 32:

Mujia gives her law firm partner speech (from her intern years to now, her striving to be where she is now, etc.). In the midst of the speech, Mujia remembers what Lawyer Wu told her, do things that others can't replace. Mujia apologized and talks about how hard they/she strive to win cases, but after they/she win, what do they/she do? That she is 30 now and is thinking about life meanings. Then she passes the chance to become a partner at the law firm.

Big bosses upset at Mujia since Mujia was pretty much already set to be a partner and Lawyer Wu's work would have been passed to Mujia. Mujia thank them for giving her chances, allowing her to grow, etc. then officially resigned. They questioned if she is getting married and that they did understand if she quits for marriage, but not to join some small development company. Mujia talks about how her security in life doesn't come from marriage or position in life, but it comes from her continuously working towards something. Big boss questioned what happens if she fails. Mujia said if she fails, she will just restart, just like when she first came to the law firm. Big boss then tells Mujia that if she fails, the law firm's door is always open for her. Big boss signed off on her resignation and said she better succeed.

Tian Rong invited to teach about her expertise. She went to Mujia to borrow some brand clothes/bags for this gig and Chen Qing also showed up (visibly pregnant at this point). Mujia then tell the girls her switching to the landscape company. Mujia talks about her Lawyer Wu is her role model and she wanted to become like her. That basically through what happened to Lawyer Wu, she realized she didn't really care for the competitive nature of the law firm and wanted to do meaningful things.

Chen Qing about to give birth! She gave birth to a girl.

Mujia first day of work at the company. Lin Da gave her a pot of flower (represents luck) to welcome her. Mujia meets the team. They get a call about a tree that got hit so they had to go and save it. Mujia feeling especially motivated and moved by this whole process. She felt like she saw another world beyond just buying houses, cars, stocks, etc.

Tian Rong giving her lecture and impressing people. WB made sure to let it be known that Tian Rong has a husband already lmao.

Mujia finds taking care of plants pretty meaningful and Lin Da felt moved since people tend to say he must have a lot of free time to care for plants. Li Guang was brought up in the convo and Lin Da ask if they will get back together. Mujia said she is more interested in thinking about the future.

Client Li came and gave WB money telling him to find something to do and not just chase around Tian Rong all day.

Lin Da supposed to have a meeting with Li Guang but Lin Da has a work schedule he needed to attend. Mujia ended up going to the meeting in his place. They met at the 8584 restaurant and at the seating area Li Guang kept reserved for Mujia. Mujia jumped into business. Li Guang starts talking about their past and ask if she is really happy now. Li Guang tells Mujia he doesn't feel like the company will last more than 5 years and Mujia said her goal is to keep it going for at least 3 years first. Li Guang asked Mujia to stay and eat but Mujia rejected saying she still has work.

Lin Da giving presentation on plants. Mujia also have a speech to encourage everyone.

Tian Rong and Mujia met for lunch and noticed Mujia is much happier. Lin Da called Mujia about something and Tian Rong introduced herself to him. Tian Rong teased Mujia about Lin Da. Tian Rong urges Mujia to buy a house LMAO.

Episode 33:

Client Li feels liks WB is not doing anything but relying on Tian Rong earning money.

Tian Rong continues to give lectures/talks on buying houses. WB's friends called him up to eat but WB was going to drive Tian Rong home. Friend basically made fun of WB and he ended up deciding to go eat with them. They talk about buying houses.

Chen Qing and husband had a talk about buying house, not continuing to rent, etc. since baby will grow up soon. Husband wants them to move to a place near his workplace (not Beijing) and Chen Qing felt it was unfair for her to unroot from Beijing. Chen Qing considered having her parents raise baby so she can work too since her husband's career is still unstable at the moment.

Mujia and Lin Da had been going on work trips. Mujia decided to move out of JLW (not enough money at this point after leaving law firm)

Tian Rong and WB seeing a OBGYN to hopefully get pregnant soon. Turns out Tian Rong quitted her real estate job at this point to focus on her lectures/house flipping.

Tian Rong planned to buy an entire apartment building to rent out through WB's friend's relative. Tian Rong advised WB how to act during the negitiations and he ended up getting a big discount from the relative. Tian Rong managed to find people via her lectures interested in renting units in the apartment. WB wants Tian Rong to hold off on renting so they can buy the apartment building themselves/wait for price to grow and sell. Tian Rong disagreed since they can't buy the building themselves without renters helping to pay for it. Mini argument between them since WB wants to ask his dad money to buy the builing and Rong didn't want that. WB called her out on borrowing money from her parents too back then. Rong questioned why he is so interested in buying/selling houses now and WB admitted to wanting to earn money to take care of her. Wow, Tian Rong and WB basically reverse right now with Tian Rong wanting to actually live a good life instead of betting/risking buying/selling houses.

Mujia and Lin Da met with a client about an empty field and what she wants developed on it.

Li Guang texted Mujia to let her know if landscape company don't meet goals, this will be Li Ming company's last investment for them. Mujia and Lin Da hustling for the project.

Tian Rong and WB attend some real estate event and WB is very out of place there.

WB working as a taxi driver as a side gig at this time (the car was brought by Tian Rong). He ended up driving one of people who attended that real estate event. The client praised Tian Rong and put down WB. WB upset and got into an argument with Tian Rong later. Cold war between them.

WB stayed up late at night watching/reading news on houses. He told Tian Rong what the client said and wants to strive with buying/selling houses like his dad and Tian Rong did. WB showed Tian Rong all the research he did on his plan to buy that apartment building and requested Tian Rong to ask his dad for money to cover the rest of it.

WB later owned up to his dad about him (not Rong) wanting to buy out that entire apartment building and his dad said it would had gave him more confidence if it was Rong who wanted to buy. He doesn't feel like WB has that capability.

Tian Rong meets up with Mujia so Mujia can look over the contract for the apartment building. Mujia extremely worried since Rong and WB basically risking everything (their other houses, money, etc.) to buy this building. Mujia fixed the contract for Tian Rong but continues to warn her of the risk.

Mujia ends up renting a place from Tian Rong since she needed to move out from JLW. She is now roommates with Xiao Zhang (doctor) again.

Review/summary of episode 32-33 (these 2 episodes were tense for me, so much underlying problems starting to come up in marriages, etc.) under spoiler:

Reminder that this is a FEMALE-LEAD growth drama. Meaning the love relationships in this drama are just /part/ of the journey. It is explored but the ships are not the main focus. The main focus will always be on Mujia and Tian Rong. Their careers, their struggles, their romances, their breakups, their friendships, their relationships with their parents, etc.

I know a lot of people tuned into this drama for the romance and yes there is legit good chemistry and moments here but do know this drama is very reality-based. Just because a male character is currently with one of the FLs =/= he is their future. The male characters are part of their journeys, but they are not the FLs' destinations.

Yeah, it is very obvious they are being targeted (most likely from rivals in their age group especially with LLD who is part of the 95 gen actresses who are all competing with each other to become a big flower of that gen) but at the end of the day, their acting is acknowledged lol. People can say whatever they want about the drama but no one can deny this cast can ACT. And that's the most important thing. This drama got the views, family/grandparents tuning in, discussions about plot, etc. Plus this drama is almost over, not much they can do to try to bring this drama down.

"Fireworks of My Heart" sadly is an average drama at best. The production kind of made it worse because they were upset that people liked the 2nd ML more (at the time, this drama wasn't blowing up either, but a FMV of 2nd ML was getting a lot of views on bilibili which attracted people to watch the drama for him) and basically told viewers to focus on the main couple. This riled up viewers even more and people started dissecting this drama on why they don't like the ML and FL/why they couldn't ship them. Then it got worse when people found out the author of the novel plagiarized the 2nd ML character off of another novel (ironic too since people likes the 2nd ML she didn't create more lmao).

Plus the "villains" (parents, 2nd ML, etc.) in that drama didn't match with how villains were supposed to be so viewers got even more upset with how FL treated her adopted parents who actually gave her the best. And there was dating rumors of WCR and YY at the time too (which ended up matching the dynamic of the characters' relationships in the drama based on netizens' views aka man would just clean his own floor instead of woman cleaning it and woman feels like the man loves her a lot based on that alone) + their acting in the drama weren't that good. It basically snowballed one after another with WCR's interview about the FL character, the fire extinguisher incident, etc.

The drama would have existed only within the fans' sphere but it got so big due to the controversies, so you have people that don't usually watch these idol-type dramas tuning in and blowing up all the plot holes, acting, etc. 💀

I think part of it are the shippers but part of it is these water armys behind the scenes fanning negativity because of how good the drama has been doing especially in terms of TV ratings. There has only been 1 other drama besides this one led by a 95-gen actress that went above 2% rating on TV. Not to mention this drama was not promoted, had no traffic stars, etc. I am sure there are people in the industry upset about this.

I have seen ppl creating misleading clips on purpose on douyin for example to say the female characters in this drama are bad, only cares about love, etc. Just a bunch of nonsense. There were water armys too buying hashtags on Weibo to try to say Mujia is a bad character (they screenshot this scene of her saying she doesn't want money/house from Li Guang to say she only cares about a man without any other context).

Agreed! I think it is especially important with this coming from someone like Lawyer Wu who we knew worked for years for the law firm. I think that breakfast scene with her son (and Mujia) gave her the push to try to live a different type of life.
