Episode 30:
Fan called Tian Rong confirming they want the house.
Mujia still dealing with the difficult client. Tang basically has no money to give to the opposing person. Everything is under his brother's name, so he doesn't have anything to his own name. In addition, he has a ton of employees, son of his brother, etc. that he has to take care of. Mujia got asked to go once again.
Fan and his girlfriend in the midst of signing contract with Tian Rong for the house. Tian Rong offered for them to keep the furniture, but girlfriend rejected and wants to lower cost of house in exchange. Girlfriend admitted to recognizing Tian Rong and wondered if the car accident was truly a car accident. Fan tried to stop her, but she kept on talking. Girlfriend wants to switch the payment procedure (aka she doesn't trust Tian Rong). Girlfriend then talks about how the house was brought by someone like Tian Rong and now they need to pay more to buy it from her. Tian Rong pissed and decided not to sell the house to them. Fan apologized to Tian Rong.
Tian Rong later called Mujia to let her know she basically kicked Fan and his girlfriend out.
Mujia didn't give up and helped Tang to find a way to earn money so he can agree to settlement. Business/housing lingo here. Mujia recalled a theory that Li Guang and her debated about before and she used the theory to help. Tang and Mujia build trust and they look at ways to develop what they need to develop aka days of looking at documents, analyzing, etc. The project ended with success.
Tian Rong and WB moved to their marriage house in JLW and Rong gave Client Li half the money for the house. Tian Rong and WB also started looking at wedding venues and Tian Rong wants Mujia to walk her down the aisle too (we also found out here that Mujia's dad actually passed away already). The girls made a promise to walk each other during their weddings.
Mujia made it to Tian Rong's wedding as soon as she got back from her work trip. *Cue the running together to get Mujia's makeup/dress done... omg so sweet here*.

Mujia and Tian Rong a bit later had a talk by themselves. Mujia gave Tian Rong a watch (pretty sure this watch was the one Tian Rong brought before for motivation, then gave to Mujia in exchange for money). Tian Rong then gave Mujia her golden bracelet. Mujia thanking Tian Rong for being there in Beijing with her and felt so happy for her. Tian Rong said Mujia will have a big house, good career, and someone who will love her a lot. And when she marries, she will be the one to hold her hand down the aisle.
Chen Qing's mom showed up to see CQ and her husband about her pregnancy. Turns out she /is/ pregnant.
Mujia went back to law firm to hand in the agreement with Tang. Mujia praised by big boss and got her office back.
Mujia's monologue: "If you are strong, everyone smiles at you, if you are weak, you cry by yourself... so stand straight, don't laid down".
Chen Qing called Mujia about her pregnancy news and Mujia arrived to Tian Rong/WB talking to Chen Qing's mom about buying houses. Mujia kicked them out and told them to continue to enjoy their honeymoon since Chen Qing didn't want to talk about buying houses.
Mujia and Chen Qing talked about buying houses. Chen Qing didn't want to because her mom would have a lot of mortgage loans to deal with which will affect her quality of life. She also doesn't want to have a house to lock them down. Mujia said she doesn't agree with Tian Rong's way of buying so many houses (then flip and sell) but she does think Chen Qing should at least have one now especially since she is pregnant.
Chen Qing's mom basically said the parents are moving in with them if they don't buy a house. Chen Qing then revealed it is her husband who didn't want to buy one (especially since his career is going through it right now).
Mujia and Lin Da have lunch to discuss her working for his company.
Episode 31:
Contiuing with Lin Da's attempt to bring Mujia over to his company. Mujia asked what reasons/benefits she will gain from leaving a prestige law firm to work with a landscape company. Lin Da listed reasons from creating Beijing's scenery to the prospects of the company.
Mujia thinks about the her in 10 years. Mujia's co-worker said she will probably be like Lawyer Wu. On the surface, everything is brilliant but reality, work every day aka workaholic.
Mujia was named as a potential candidate partner in the law firm. She has to compete with 2 other candidates.
Lawyer Wu's son has not been listening to Lawyer Wu. Lawyer Wu has her ex video chat with son thinking son might be missing his dad. Ex was at a bar and told son when son is older, he will take him drinking. YIKES. Ex revealed him and mistress broke up.
Ex later showed up at Lawyer Wu's house to see son outside of set time to see son. Lawyer Wu can tell ex wants to get back together. Son NOT happy to see his dad. Lawyer Wu and ex argued about why the son is the way he is now. Ex later told Lawyer Wu that the mistress is blackmailing him because he told her things about the law firm (people and cases).
Tian Rong and WB spotted Mujia on her way to somewhere and want to eat with her. Mistress showed up demanding if ex was with Lawyer Wu. Mistress tries to fight Mujia and Tian Rong and WB tries to block her. Security also showed up. Mujia takes mistress to a cafe to keep her there until Lawyer Wu can arrive.
Showdown between Lawyer Wu and mistress. Mistress wants ex to come back to her in exchange for keeping her mouth shut on blackmail material. Lawyer Wu does not care.
Mujia and Lawyer Wu talks about this, and Lawyer Wu knows the mistress will reveal the blackmail materials and have to make plans to deal with it. Lawyer Wu revealed she isn't scared as a lawyer but is a bit scared as a woman and a mother. Mujia offers her help.
Tian Rong encourages WB to get a job.
Big boss scolded Lawyer Wu about this and Lawyer Wu has mistress investigated. Turns out mistress faked a ton of things such as her education background, etc. Lawyer Wu gave info to ex and tells him and mistress to f*ck off and stop involving her. Ex tries to say Lawyer Wu won't be able to get cases in Beijing anymore and Lawyer Wu said she worked up to her position today, so she doesn't need to stay around in Beijing to deal with this.
Lawyer Wu cooked a breakfast meal for son. Son rejected it and said school has breakfast. But!!! Son turns back to grab a sandwich she made and thanked her.
Lawyer Wu later has a meal with Mujia and informed Mujia she is quitting work and leaving Beijing for overseas with son. Lawyer Wu confessed to Mujia that she is tired. That she exchanged her relationships, sleep, being able to be there with son, etc. for working non-stop. She wants to wake up whenever she wants, eat good food, date around, etc. That meeting Mujia makes her want to live as a human with warmth. Mujia sad and questioned what she will do if Lawyer Wu leaves. Lawyer Wu believes that Mujia will be even better than her.
Mujia and ex at the airport to see Lawyer Wu and son off. Lawyer Wu requested Mujia to help out ex to deal with the mess caused by mistress since he can't drop everything and leave Beijing like Lawyer Wu and son. And she needs him to continue to pay for child support LMAO. Lawyer Wu told Mujia not to be like her in terms of love. They bid each other farewell. I cried.
Mujia met up with mistress. Mistress said she is not afraid of jail time, and she will do it if it causes the family grief. Mujia revealed ex is by himself now, Lawyer Wu and son are gone so there is no grief happening here. Mujia scolded mistress and said both ex and her deserve it. That Lawyer Wu doesn't care because Lawyer Wu has options. She could stay and fight but could also leave overseas to not even look at mistress. All because Lawyer Wu spent the time mistress used to ruin families to gain skills and experiences. Mujia told mistress she can be sued and if she really wants to go to jail. Mistress mad that ex didn't come himself. Mistress given money as compensation to end all of this.
Tian Rong prepping to get pregnant. WB came home drunk though.
New Year: Mujia meets with Lin Da and they ride on motorcycle to a place he wanted to take her. Lin Da opened up about how much % of the company can be given to Mujia. He brings her into this greenhouse and explain what all the plants represent and what are they used for. They have dinner there and Lin Da asks Mujia to join him to be able to buy these fields. We know from here that Mujia is turning 30 years old. Lin Da asks Mujia to "dig dirt" together (dig dirt to plant trees).
Episode ends with all the partner candidates making a speech and Mujia about to make hers.

Right! There has been a lot of debate about his character in general. He says he make decisions for Mujia's sake but when people analyze it more, it is also because these decisions benefit himself in terms of his business/investment. On one hand, he is attracted by Mujia's boldness and drive, but on the other hand, those characteristics makes it harder for him to "use" her without her noticing thus causing conflict.

Yeah, I think Wang Yang's CEO character has been the most interesting one for me in recent years in terms of the CEO tropes. Do link your post when you finish writing it! I did be interested in reading it.
I also enjoy Mujia's relationship with Lawyer Wu a lot. It is a mixed of mentorship, friendship, and also allows Mujia to see the kind of person she /can/ become.
Although I am only on Ep 15, I find that I like this show a lot. The character I like least is Li Guang - too…
Li Guang is such a controversial character for sure. I feel like they take the CEO male love interest trope to another level with him in the sense that at first, you might not even catch his self-serving tendencies because he comes off as respectful. But as episodes goes on, viewers might notice things he say =/= what he thinks =/= what he wants. He also balances a lot so it makes for an interesting character dynamic.
Mujia is my favorite character. I think compared to Tian Rong (whose journey in a way is more obvious and easier to get), Mujia's growth/journey might be harder to grasp on the surface for viewers. On one hand, she is ambitious and wants to live a good life (aka not spare expenses). On the other hand, she really wants a home with a partner and this "home" conflicts with her ambition and what she wants in her career (as seen in later episodes). She tries to be logical, but love happens, and this love comes in expenses of herself which becomes a problem.
Overall, I really like all the characters a lot and I feel like this drama does a good job in giving them all depth. They feel human. They make mistakes, they do things that go against their best interest, recognizes that, and try to adapt. Plus this drama is so so so well acted.

Review/summary for episode 28-29 (as a Mujia career fan, I am happy LMAOOOOO) under spoiler (longer than usual):
Episode 28:
WB's dad still in hospital. Tian Rong paid for the bills. WB revealed he got fired and Rong revealed she already knew by how quick WB arrived to the hospital. WB's dad finally woke up.
Mujia working. She found an error in one of the documents and called another employee (Luo Bin) to send her the correction. She noticed on the call that they were celebrating something (no one else was in the office except for Mujia).
During a work meeting, with the error that Mujia noticed, Mujia suggested to settle the case being discussed by the team. Luo Bin got pissed and said how this is her first individual/independent case and not to splash cold water on her. Mujia apologized and said it wasn't to splash cold water on her, but that the settlement seems like a better option. Luo Bin continues to be upset and said Lawyer Wu had called Mujia multiple times before to settle the Mo case, but Mujia decided to not settle and win the case (reminder here that it was Li Guang aka the client who actually wanted Mujia to push for a win for the investment money but on the surface told Mo he wasn't going to push it). Mujia said it was because she was certain she did win. Luo Bin then brought up Li Guang and how there are rumors of Li Guang spending so much money for a woman (Mujia).
Lawyer Wu ended this and asked how Luo Bin would know and if Li Guang called her directly to tell her.
Mujia later went to talk to Lawyer Wu about all the rumors. Mujia questioned if the accomplishments she achieved in the law firm is due to Li Guang. Lawyer Wu then asked if Mujia was with Li Guang for any purpose other than love (no). That Li Guang picked his way of choosing to love her. That if these chances fell onto someone else, Lawyer Wu doesn't think others could had done them better than Mujia. Lawyer Wu said she kept saying separate work from love/personal, but she herself understands that it is not such a clear-cut separation. And that Mujia needs to believe in herself, or at least in Lawyer Wu's decision to let her into the law firm.
Tian Rong on cam sees Mujia (they were so cute here aw) and they meet to talk. Mujia talks about how when she was with Li Guang, everyone would treat her well, but now that she isn't with him, it is a different story. She mentioned Luo Bin inviting everyone to her birthday but her. Mujia admits to missing Li Guang and feeling bad about feeling that. Tian Rong comforts her. Mujia said she is not crying/won't cry and they talk about buying houses.
Mujia and Tian Rong went to look at houses. Mujia doesn't like the first one because the security didn't bother checking who she was when she entered (and she was stalked before, so it was a problem for her) but still looked and ended up liking it. Mujia agreed to buying it quick and paid for down payment. Mujia plans to bring her mom over to live once she gets the house.
Client Li in hospital bed asked Tian Rong to come over to thank her. They spoke and he gave them his blessing.
Mujia's mom recommended Mujia to meet son of her friend. Mom mentioned that it is hard to live alone like her. Mujia agreed since mom insisted.
New day new Mujia.
Mujia: "Mr. Li, I really am starting to go forward".
Mujia and Tian Rong head to meet the sellers to sign contract and buy house. Tian Rong feels their tone seems weird on the phone and feel like they might raise price. Tian Rong said she got extra money just in case it happens. Sellers do want to raise price. Mujia agreed to price and was about to sign. Sellers decided to raise price again. Mujia then asked them to return down payment since she doesn't want to discuss buying with insincere people. Mujia walked away and sellers agreed to go back down to the first raised price. Mujia decided not to buy there and buy in JLW (her wish) eventually. She plans to just work and save money to buy at one go (instead of buy, sell, buy sell). Mujia tells Tian Rong to tell sellers to return down payment and tell them she is a lawyer aka she will sue if they don't.
People in law firm gossiping about how Mujia got dumped by Li Guang. Lawyer Xia being nasty and asked Mujia to work for his team instead and go to sauna with him UGH. Mujia brought up his wife and asked whether his wife agreed to have him bring female employees to go to sauna together. Lawyer Xia continues to be nasty and Mujia called him out.
Lin Da called Mujia and asked why she is not part of the project anymore and how the new rep is not professional. Lin Da then brought up dinner with Chen Qing, her boyfriend, and asked Mujia to come.
During dinner: Lin Da noticed Mujia looking down and tried to cheer her up. Chen Qing noticed Mujia lost weight. Lin Da said if she doesn't feel happy, she should leave her job. Mujia and him debated on this topic (what if leaving, you still aren't happy). Lin Da mentions that he believes it is the simple thing, if a product is done well, people will be attracted to it, while relationships/connections aren't as reliable. That's why he doesn't beg, investors go to them because they want to invest, it is an equal relationship. Lin Da then said for Mujia to come to the landscape company. Mujia said she will think about it. Lin Da works Mujia home and tells her that Li Ming invested large $$$ into their project.
Lin Da said he is serious about Mujia coming to work for them as a legal advisor especially now that investment is involved. Mujia thanked him but rejected it.
Client Li found out Tian Rong sold one of the houses to paid for his medical bills. Client Li told WB to go to her house/meet parents to officially propose.
Mujia met with a client who wants to transfer $$$/properties to his mother's name (aka he is getting a divorce). Client wants Mujia to sus out wife to see if wife knows he wants to get a divorce. Mujia rejected and advised client to speak to wife because wife might still find out later and can still sue. Client pissed and complained to Lawyer Wu to switch lawyer.
Episode 29:
Lawyer Wu discussed the Tang brothers' case with Mujia (in which she found the error). That after their meeting, the info online was deleted, and it is said Lawyer Wu's team is at fault. Lawyer Wu said all signs point to Mujia. Lawyer Wu said she believes it is not Mujia.
Mujia has to move out of her office since her cases have been really few.
Tian Rong, WB, and parents met to look at marriage house (at JLW) and set plans to marry with official wedding. Tian Rong asked if house can add her name (she will pay half the money). Client Li don't really want to LOL.

Mujia's mom called about meeting the dude she recommended. Mujia said she hasn't been feeling well lately but date has been decided for tomorrow. Date came to pick her up. Date asked about her rent, salary, etc. Date took her to the 8584 restaurant WELP. Date picked this place on purpose since it was her birthday. Mujia ended up fainting from fatigue.
Chen Qing, her boyfriend, Tian Rong, and Lin Da came to the hospital for Mujia. Lin Da asked about Mujia's boyfriend and found out they split. Tian Rong scolded Mujia about people dying from fatigue. Mujia said she fainted at a restaurant so technically not due to work. Lin Da visibly upset. Mujia asked about her date since mom likes him a lot. Date feels like her health isn't good so bounced.
Li Guang looking at restaurant data and employee reported that someone fainted. He found out it was Mujia and called her. She ended up hanging up since he didn't say anything.
Mujia feeling extra renewed in the morning and ready to work. She put on redder lipstick for confidence. Tian Rong said Li Guang will regret it. Mujia said he won't regret it, and she herself won't either.
Fan finds out Tian Rong is marrying since he overheard Mujia talking to a co-worker. Fan tried to ask Mujia to ask Tian Rong about houses (his girlfriend's family said no marriage if he doesn't have a house). Mujia called Tian Rong about this, and Tian Rong said he can go over to look at one of the houses she is selling.
WB took Tian Rong to soak feet (aka actually living life and not just hoarding all the money).
Mujia prepared to go on work trip for the complicated case (she couldn't get an advance money from law firm due to her not meeting requirements of caseload so got to pay up for trip herself first). Mujia received a VIP card for 8584 (from Li Guang via mail). Mujia on the way to leave for work trip returned the card to 8584.
Mujia on work trip (a really nice scene here). Lin Da called asking if she wants to see one of the flowers that bloomed and got worried about her since her signal was bad.
Fan and his girlfriend visited house to buy. Tian Rong was there to clean it up. Girlfriend recalled Tian Rong as the woman she ran over and told Fan. Girlfriend feels Tian Rong is shady with the car accident so don't want to buy house from her.
Girlfriend's parents questioned Fan why they didn't buy the house.
Mujia arrived at her destination and Lin Da called again. Lin Da figured out where she was based on speed of her car/info she sends him LMAO. Lin Da worried about Mujia and asked her to rest.

I hope they remain separate haha. I care more about her career and non-romantic relationship and hope the rest of the episodes focus on those. I won't mind an open ending though.
The novel is VERY different. Mujia was Li Guang's mistress. 💀 He never gave her a title and ended up giving her $ when they called it off.
The drama might potentially have an open ending for them but I am not sure what will happen. I don't see Mujia and Li Guang having a happy ending as of now because Li Guang has too much going on. He has his company, daughter, ex-wife, investors' opinions on his marriage/love life and how that affects the company, all the employees under him, etc.
Mujia wants marriage and stability. At this point in time, Li Guang can't fulfill that. Not to mention his involvement with the law firm is also affecting her career (like how he removed her from a project due to jealousy).

Lawyer Wu's son has not been listening to Lawyer Wu. Lawyer Wu has her ex video chat with son thinking son might be missing his dad. Ex was at a bar and told son when son is older, he will take him drinking. YIKES. Ex revealed him and mistress broke up.
Ex later showed up at Lawyer Wu's house to see son outside of set time to see son. Lawyer Wu can tell ex wants to get back together. Son NOT happy to see his dad. Lawyer Wu and ex argued about why the son is the way he is now. Ex later told Lawyer Wu that the mistress is blackmailing him because he told her things about the law firm (people and cases).
Tian Rong and WB spotted Mujia on her way to somewhere and want to eat with her. Mistress showed up demanding if ex was with Lawyer Wu. Mistress tries to fight Mujia and Tian Rong and WB tries to block her. Security also showed up. Mujia takes mistress to a cafe to keep her there until Lawyer Wu can arrive.
Showdown between Lawyer Wu and mistress. Mistress wants ex to come back to her in exchange for keeping her mouth shut on blackmail material. Lawyer Wu does not care.
Mujia and Lawyer Wu talks about this, and Lawyer Wu knows the mistress will reveal the blackmail materials and have to make plans to deal with it. Lawyer Wu revealed she isn't scared as a lawyer but is a bit scared as a woman and a mother. Mujia offers her help.
Tian Rong encourages WB to get a job.
Big boss scolded Lawyer Wu about this and Lawyer Wu has mistress investigated. Turns out mistress faked a ton of things such as her education background, etc. Lawyer Wu gave info to ex and tells him and mistress to f*ck off and stop involving her. Ex tries to say Lawyer Wu won't be able to get cases in Beijing anymore and Lawyer Wu said she worked up to her position today, so she doesn't need to stay around in Beijing to deal with this.
Lawyer Wu cooked a breakfast meal for son. Son rejected it and said school has breakfast. But!!! Son turns back to grab a sandwich she made and thanked her.
Lawyer Wu later has a meal with Mujia and informed Mujia she is quitting work and leaving Beijing for overseas with son. Lawyer Wu confessed to Mujia that she is tired. That she exchanged her relationships, sleep, being able to be there with son, etc. for working non-stop. She wants to wake up whenever she wants, eat good food, date around, etc. That meeting Mujia makes her want to live as a human with warmth. Mujia sad and questioned what she will do if Lawyer Wu leaves. Lawyer Wu believes that Mujia will be even better than her.
Mujia and ex at the airport to see Lawyer Wu and son off. Lawyer Wu requested Mujia to help out ex to deal with the mess caused by mistress since he can't drop everything and leave Beijing like Lawyer Wu and son. And she needs him to continue to pay for child support LMAO. Lawyer Wu told Mujia not to be like her in terms of love. They bid each other farewell. I cried.
Mujia met up with mistress. Mistress said she is not afraid of jail time, and she will do it if it causes the family grief. Mujia revealed ex is by himself now, Lawyer Wu and son are gone so there is no grief happening here. Mujia scolded mistress and said both ex and her deserve it. That Lawyer Wu doesn't care because Lawyer Wu has options. She could stay and fight but could also leave overseas to not even look at mistress. All because Lawyer Wu spent the time mistress used to ruin families to gain skills and experiences. Mujia told mistress she can be sued and if she really wants to go to jail. Mistress mad that ex didn't come himself. Mistress given money as compensation to end all of this.
Tian Rong prepping to get pregnant. WB came home drunk though.
New Year: Mujia meets with Lin Da and they ride on motorcycle to a place he wanted to take her. Lin Da opened up about how much % of the company can be given to Mujia. He brings her into this greenhouse and explain what all the plants represent and what are they used for. They have dinner there and Lin Da asks Mujia to join him to be able to buy these fields. We know from here that Mujia is turning 30 years old. Lin Da asks Mujia to "dig dirt" together (dig dirt to plant trees).
Episode ends with all the partner candidates making a speech and Mujia about to make hers.
I also enjoy Mujia's relationship with Lawyer Wu a lot. It is a mixed of mentorship, friendship, and also allows Mujia to see the kind of person she /can/ become.
Mujia is my favorite character. I think compared to Tian Rong (whose journey in a way is more obvious and easier to get), Mujia's growth/journey might be harder to grasp on the surface for viewers. On one hand, she is ambitious and wants to live a good life (aka not spare expenses). On the other hand, she really wants a home with a partner and this "home" conflicts with her ambition and what she wants in her career (as seen in later episodes). She tries to be logical, but love happens, and this love comes in expenses of herself which becomes a problem.
Overall, I really like all the characters a lot and I feel like this drama does a good job in giving them all depth. They feel human. They make mistakes, they do things that go against their best interest, recognizes that, and try to adapt. Plus this drama is so so so well acted.

WB's dad still in hospital. Tian Rong paid for the bills. WB revealed he got fired and Rong revealed she already knew by how quick WB arrived to the hospital. WB's dad finally woke up.
Mujia working. She found an error in one of the documents and called another employee (Luo Bin) to send her the correction. She noticed on the call that they were celebrating something (no one else was in the office except for Mujia).
During a work meeting, with the error that Mujia noticed, Mujia suggested to settle the case being discussed by the team. Luo Bin got pissed and said how this is her first individual/independent case and not to splash cold water on her. Mujia apologized and said it wasn't to splash cold water on her, but that the settlement seems like a better option. Luo Bin continues to be upset and said Lawyer Wu had called Mujia multiple times before to settle the Mo case, but Mujia decided to not settle and win the case (reminder here that it was Li Guang aka the client who actually wanted Mujia to push for a win for the investment money but on the surface told Mo he wasn't going to push it). Mujia said it was because she was certain she did win. Luo Bin then brought up Li Guang and how there are rumors of Li Guang spending so much money for a woman (Mujia).
Lawyer Wu ended this and asked how Luo Bin would know and if Li Guang called her directly to tell her.
Mujia later went to talk to Lawyer Wu about all the rumors. Mujia questioned if the accomplishments she achieved in the law firm is due to Li Guang. Lawyer Wu then asked if Mujia was with Li Guang for any purpose other than love (no). That Li Guang picked his way of choosing to love her. That if these chances fell onto someone else, Lawyer Wu doesn't think others could had done them better than Mujia. Lawyer Wu said she kept saying separate work from love/personal, but she herself understands that it is not such a clear-cut separation. And that Mujia needs to believe in herself, or at least in Lawyer Wu's decision to let her into the law firm.
Tian Rong on cam sees Mujia (they were so cute here aw) and they meet to talk. Mujia talks about how when she was with Li Guang, everyone would treat her well, but now that she isn't with him, it is a different story. She mentioned Luo Bin inviting everyone to her birthday but her. Mujia admits to missing Li Guang and feeling bad about feeling that. Tian Rong comforts her. Mujia said she is not crying/won't cry and they talk about buying houses.
Mujia and Tian Rong went to look at houses. Mujia doesn't like the first one because the security didn't bother checking who she was when she entered (and she was stalked before, so it was a problem for her) but still looked and ended up liking it. Mujia agreed to buying it quick and paid for down payment. Mujia plans to bring her mom over to live once she gets the house.
Client Li in hospital bed asked Tian Rong to come over to thank her. They spoke and he gave them his blessing.
Mujia's mom recommended Mujia to meet son of her friend. Mom mentioned that it is hard to live alone like her. Mujia agreed since mom insisted.
New day new Mujia.
Mujia: "Mr. Li, I really am starting to go forward".
Mujia and Tian Rong head to meet the sellers to sign contract and buy house. Tian Rong feels their tone seems weird on the phone and feel like they might raise price. Tian Rong said she got extra money just in case it happens. Sellers do want to raise price. Mujia agreed to price and was about to sign. Sellers decided to raise price again. Mujia then asked them to return down payment since she doesn't want to discuss buying with insincere people. Mujia walked away and sellers agreed to go back down to the first raised price. Mujia decided not to buy there and buy in JLW (her wish) eventually. She plans to just work and save money to buy at one go (instead of buy, sell, buy sell). Mujia tells Tian Rong to tell sellers to return down payment and tell them she is a lawyer aka she will sue if they don't.
People in law firm gossiping about how Mujia got dumped by Li Guang. Lawyer Xia being nasty and asked Mujia to work for his team instead and go to sauna with him UGH. Mujia brought up his wife and asked whether his wife agreed to have him bring female employees to go to sauna together. Lawyer Xia continues to be nasty and Mujia called him out.
Lin Da called Mujia and asked why she is not part of the project anymore and how the new rep is not professional. Lin Da then brought up dinner with Chen Qing, her boyfriend, and asked Mujia to come.
During dinner: Lin Da noticed Mujia looking down and tried to cheer her up. Chen Qing noticed Mujia lost weight. Lin Da said if she doesn't feel happy, she should leave her job. Mujia and him debated on this topic (what if leaving, you still aren't happy). Lin Da mentions that he believes it is the simple thing, if a product is done well, people will be attracted to it, while relationships/connections aren't as reliable. That's why he doesn't beg, investors go to them because they want to invest, it is an equal relationship. Lin Da then said for Mujia to come to the landscape company. Mujia said she will think about it. Lin Da works Mujia home and tells her that Li Ming invested large $$$ into their project.
Lin Da said he is serious about Mujia coming to work for them as a legal advisor especially now that investment is involved. Mujia thanked him but rejected it.
Client Li found out Tian Rong sold one of the houses to paid for his medical bills. Client Li told WB to go to her house/meet parents to officially propose.
Mujia met with a client who wants to transfer $$$/properties to his mother's name (aka he is getting a divorce). Client wants Mujia to sus out wife to see if wife knows he wants to get a divorce. Mujia rejected and advised client to speak to wife because wife might still find out later and can still sue. Client pissed and complained to Lawyer Wu to switch lawyer.
Episode 29:
Lawyer Wu discussed the Tang brothers' case with Mujia (in which she found the error). That after their meeting, the info online was deleted, and it is said Lawyer Wu's team is at fault. Lawyer Wu said all signs point to Mujia. Lawyer Wu said she believes it is not Mujia.
Mujia has to move out of her office since her cases have been really few.
Tian Rong, WB, and parents met to look at marriage house (at JLW) and set plans to marry with official wedding. Tian Rong asked if house can add her name (she will pay half the money). Client Li don't really want to LOL.
Mujia in the middle of dealing with a complicated case that no one else wanted to take (part of the Tang brothers' case). Mujia's friend/co-worker told her that she should just leave (instead of dealing with this mess + drama) since anyone who worked at this law firm would get a good job even when they leave but Mujia wants to stick around.
Mujia's mom called about meeting the dude she recommended. Mujia said she hasn't been feeling well lately but date has been decided for tomorrow. Date came to pick her up. Date asked about her rent, salary, etc. Date took her to the 8584 restaurant WELP. Date picked this place on purpose since it was her birthday. Mujia ended up fainting from fatigue.
Chen Qing, her boyfriend, Tian Rong, and Lin Da came to the hospital for Mujia. Lin Da asked about Mujia's boyfriend and found out they split. Tian Rong scolded Mujia about people dying from fatigue. Mujia said she fainted at a restaurant so technically not due to work. Lin Da visibly upset. Mujia asked about her date since mom likes him a lot. Date feels like her health isn't good so bounced.
Li Guang looking at restaurant data and employee reported that someone fainted. He found out it was Mujia and called her. She ended up hanging up since he didn't say anything.
Mujia feeling extra renewed in the morning and ready to work. She put on redder lipstick for confidence. Tian Rong said Li Guang will regret it. Mujia said he won't regret it, and she herself won't either.
Fan finds out Tian Rong is marrying since he overheard Mujia talking to a co-worker. Fan tried to ask Mujia to ask Tian Rong about houses (his girlfriend's family said no marriage if he doesn't have a house). Mujia called Tian Rong about this, and Tian Rong said he can go over to look at one of the houses she is selling.
WB took Tian Rong to soak feet (aka actually living life and not just hoarding all the money).
Mujia prepared to go on work trip for the complicated case (she couldn't get an advance money from law firm due to her not meeting requirements of caseload so got to pay up for trip herself first). Mujia received a VIP card for 8584 (from Li Guang via mail). Mujia on the way to leave for work trip returned the card to 8584.
Mujia on work trip (a really nice scene here). Lin Da called asking if she wants to see one of the flowers that bloomed and got worried about her since her signal was bad.
Fan and his girlfriend visited house to buy. Tian Rong was there to clean it up. Girlfriend recalled Tian Rong as the woman she ran over and told Fan. Girlfriend feels Tian Rong is shady with the car accident so don't want to buy house from her.
Girlfriend's parents questioned Fan why they didn't buy the house.
Mujia arrived at her destination and Lin Da called again. Lin Da figured out where she was based on speed of her car/info she sends him LMAO. Lin Da worried about Mujia and asked her to rest.
Mujia finally found Tang (the client of the difficult case) but he kicked her out. Lawyer Wu in law firm fighting for Mujia with the deal that she can stay in law firm + gets office back if she deals with case well.
Mujia continues to try to talk to Tang, went to court, etc. Tang refuses to listen/wants to drag on lawsuit.
Fan called Tian Rong saying the whole family here to see house. Tian Rong not free since she was with WB and his dad for physical therapy. Fan being annoying.

The drama might potentially have an open ending for them but I am not sure what will happen. I don't see Mujia and Li Guang having a happy ending as of now because Li Guang has too much going on. He has his company, daughter, ex-wife, investors' opinions on his marriage/love life and how that affects the company, all the employees under him, etc.
Mujia wants marriage and stability. At this point in time, Li Guang can't fulfill that. Not to mention his involvement with the law firm is also affecting her career (like how he removed her from a project due to jealousy).
