TQ got the power of technology these days aka checking if someone got a birth certifcate or got a passport to travel abroad so she did be exposed either way. 😭 TQ is definitely the type to book a ticket or call the embassy if they said QST went abroad to Italy.

He is pretty new as the main director! From what I know, he used to be involved in this live-action magical girl drama series years ago called "Balala the Fairies" (it was pretty popular). In a way, it is not surprising he is able to direct like this when he was involved in that show haha.

Kicking my feet at him smiling saying where are you (SCC) running off to again. He is lowkey a freak (affectionally). The theory of him comforting himself that she loves him after the reveal is funny because it might actually be true LOL.

They really spend every yuan they had on this drama. Even the tech CGI/transformation feels real. I want to hug this production and cast so badly for giving us such an amazing drama!

Again, really gotta praise the cast's acting. ☝️

TJC's ability to transition from being consumed with guilt, then going detective mode, then to a cunning mode really shows his talent as an actor. He gave TQ so much depth than just some dude in love. He is not just some himbo and lives up to his background of having a doctoral degree.

LLD's LY was just so LY. The way she smiled, the way she nodded, the way she gasped, etc. It was straight-up LY.

WHY's QST? You can tell the acting was meant to be exaggerated to show the difference between LY's QST and SCC's QST. The coughing blood scene was just so LY even though the face was QST. He was able to show the subtle differences between LY's QST and SCC's QST.

Then we got the grandma too who really leaked out SCC quirks here and there.

This drama is /hard/ in the acting department and they really did their jobs. It is no wonder back when I was following updates about this drama filming that they were filming until like 2-3 AM almost daily and it took 3-4 months to finish this drama when modern dramas usually take 2-3 months max to film.

Yes, we definitely should give these types of original scripts more of a chance. There are a lot of creative minds but they just aren't given a chance since it is "risky" to adapt a drama without a built-in audience/not from an IP. If I remember correctly, I think Tong Hua at one point mentioned reflecting on how she used to write stories and took in all the comments she is seeing. It really reflects in this drama.

The targetted language used for male characters versus female characters will always be different when it comes to hating on them simply by the kind of society we live in.

MLs like Li Cheng Yin who is a r*pist and murdered the FL's family till this day despite being hated is very well-liked due to CXX's acting and how complicated the character was (I enjoyed the acting too and appreciated the overall story so this is not to hate on the character but to show an example). How many FLs have there been that can commit crimes like that and still have people making FMVs, seeing things from their POVs, and analyzing their upbringing to explain why they did what they did?

People can have a list of black flag, red flag, and green flag MLs but there is no list for FLs like that because FLs are not allowed to have that type of variety. Side characters sure but not the FLs.

I can also say it is "scary" how the ML is relentless with calling non-stop to some of the transformations such as with SM. Showing up at her house, contacting her friends to reach her when she doesn't want to see him, etc. It makes "logical" sense from their POVs but from the other person's POV, they will get hurt or get scared. The whole SM transformation was for comedic purposes but if SM was a real person with a man who had a crush on her pursuing her like that, it is scary.

Yup lol, it is funny too because these two are going to end up together anyway. Based on the later preview clips I am seeing, there is really no point in projecting and feeling too bad for these characters when the characters themselves are going to pick themselves up and resolve their own issues. These characters are just too well-written.

Just how this drama is written in the sense that these transformations weren't done with TQ in mind aka not out of revenge. If anything, the later transformations were to escape from him so it keeps it pretty balance, and hard for people to full on hate the FL and senselessly drag her and standing only from ML's POV of being hurt. It is one of the best parts of this drama's writing because it is so easy to make the FL a "villain" for the "thrill" of this type of transformation genre.

So imagine a drama where there is FL that is actively seeking to hurt the ML for revenge, she would be destroyed and dragged LOL. Viewers in general are more accepting of fumbling/gray/dark MLs and might hate on them for hurting FLs but will find them attractive/charming but FLs? Not a chance.

Imagine a drama where a FL is /actually/ out to get the ML. Can't imagine what the comments would be like.

And sometimes it is not even her coming up with the excuses but TQ coming it up for her.

Alpaca standing up? TQ: Yeah, with training, that is possible
Alpaca looking annoyed and destroying things? TQ: You must miss your owner
There seem to be 2 FJs? TQ: You got DID
QST's phone ringing when he called? TQ: Haha, must be FJ calling you
