Yup, she is in utter shock and exhibiting all the stages of grief. Especially with the preview I saw of her wanting to * too. At least I know she will get through it with Wei Zhao's help. It definitely isn't easy for her, she barely has time to process any of this when she got other things coming at her too.
I must say JC is very patient with PY - any modern girl would have slapped him and handed him over to the authority…
PY might get excited over that so it is better not to. 💀 Her showing any intense reactions to him is going to make him think she cares enough about him. It is a waste of energy at this point even when she drew lines directly with him. He doesn't care.
Thinking about the number of times Jiang Ci could have left but came back to help/save someone:
1) Turned back the first time to protect Wei Zhao's identity from Pei Yan. 2) Turned back the second time because Yue Luo was getting attacked and she crossed the bridge to send them a warning. 3) Turned back the third time for her master.
Just wanted to mention how SMART Madam Rong is with what she did:
1) Her killing Master Yan ensures that Pei Yan and Jiang Ci can never be together. 2) During her speech, she basically stated that Master Yan and Jiang Ci are the remaining witnesses of the Prince Qi case which would push the emperor to kill Jiang Ci (since she is now the only remaining one). It is also why Master Yan said she was the one who manipulated Jiang Ci as her last words (to protect her from the emperor's suspicion that she would know anything about how Prince Qi died). 3) Gives more reasons for Wei Zhao to rebel/fight against the emperor as he also needs to protect Jiang Ci from him. Which is exactly what Madam Rong wants.
Pei Yan and Jiang Ci will never ever be together with her killing JC's master. Pei Yan would never be able to even pressure her into marriage ever again out of guilt. A mini win. 💀
She absolutely knew that her helping Jiang Ci escape meant that Pei Yan and her would eventually have to get married (since Pei Yan would be single and she did have to be engaged to him again). But she is willing to do so to help Jiang Ci. I just really love the friendships between the women in here.
I think she will not blame wei Zhao because seeing that preview he's still talking to her and planning together…
She knows there is more to it, but she lashed out at him for getting the master involved because he promised her that they found her, and she is safe (when she was involved in the plan with Madam Rong and Wei Zhao). Jiang Ci blamed herself at the end of the day though, saying it is because she came down to the mountains and got her master involved. Girl was even considering to just let herself die. But she will pull through with Wei Zhao's encouragement.
It is very similar to when Wei Zhao lashed out at Jiang Ci back in the beginning when his Yue Luo peeps died. They are all losing people left and right here but at the end of the day, they do understand they have a common enemy and will work together.
