Yes, I noticed that too. Plus, in episode 4 the therapist did not get up right away. He was still kissing and had to pull himself away when he realised.

The dark room - could possibly symbolise that both are not virgins in their sex positions.
The white room - white symbolises virginity; it was the student's first time bottoming.
The pink room - what started out as a learning experience turned into something more as feelings got involved. Feelings evolved out of deep sexual satisfaction.

Anyway this is my observation of things.

Apart from the obvious graphic sexual scenes, there also some symbolism.
Notice how the first time they have sex it is in a dark room, the second time it is in a white room, and the last time in a pink room
