Tbh, this should have been only 24 episodes. Don't get me wrong, I love the cast but it's painful to watch their characters' pride and miscommunication. I think I'll just wait until all eps are released so I can binge watch and ff as necessary.

After watching My Journey to You, I am including Esther Yu in my possible FLs for this drama, especially if Zang Linghe will be casted as the ML

Wen Yi Fan may look indifferent but she's not, she's just aloof because of her past. Visually, Zhang Yuxi may fit but based on her dramas that I've watched, I don't think she can deliver the depth needed to portray Yi Fan's vulnerabilities. For Sang Yan, I prefer Victor Ma and I think he can pull off a broody SangYan. In Hidden Love, he's a friend and a brother, so of course he can be warm to Jiaxu and Sang Zhi. But there were still glimpses of the First Frost Sang Yan. Sometimes, he was just quiet and observing. He was also a little terrifying when he dealt with the bullies. But ngl, I don't have high expectations that he will play Sang Yan. If not him, I would prefer Linghe than WeiLong. But whoever the final cast will be. I will still watch this.

I was smiling almost all throughout the last episode. This was really an easy watch. Loved it 🥰

This is so funny. I really like the first 6 episodes. I like that even though they are not in love yet, the truly try to respect and support each other. Based on the release calendar, looks like we can expect a kiss by tonight's episodes. I'll definitely chase this.

She looks a bit like Jin Ki Joo. She also have the same vibe of optimistic innocence. So far, I have liked what I've seen of Rain Lu's works, she is an underrated actress that deserves more works.

That may be a problem with the translation/subs. What she said was actually 'our classmate' but yeah standing in the podium seems a giveaway that she's a teacher.

I just noticed that croton's version has epilogues that weren't shown in kisskh like in ep29 where ZY sent a reward meal for qi and nike

I felt a little disconnect on this too. I just consoled myself with how manly ZY looked with that 5 o'clock shadow. I guess they needed to raise this since it is the main issue on birds as counterpart to ZY's concern on artemisinin. It will return to their usual life by ep29. And the scriptwriters did something in this that would be so funny later.

I was rating it a 7.5 to 8 because of the 2nd couple but eps 32-35 was so sweet that I ended up giving this an 8.5.

Here are some hidden references. They use green vegetables in meals and in shakes after a scene where a person seemed cheated. The beef dregs is a bad man because the same Chinese character is used for dregs and scumbag. References that the ML has the morals of a bird (ZY's name is related to birds). The frequent references to gogo squid like contract relationship, ML's eyes not leaving the FL's face etc. The frequent reference to the alchemist for philosophical ideas. The Qixi (Chinese Valentines) traditions presented. MR was referenced as a fairy which is from LBFAD while Dir Li usually says that he and ZY are brothers who likes Jing Tian who was ZBB's co-lead in Rattan. The frequent reference that the writers were lazy because they uses tropes. There were more but I already forgot, I just knew that I found it funny when I was watching.
