Boring" is an interesting description for a show that's currently #1 on Netflix.
you seem to be a huge fan, what does Neftlix have to do with it, there are so many quality cdramas that aren't even on netflix. I dropped this too

Title Perfect Match Spoiler
Dropped this at episode 10 after FL makes ML jump through hoops just to marry her. It was so frustrating to watch, as he was so devoted to her and stood up against his mom for her and here she was actively chasing other engagements for like half of their screentime. Also I realized I didn't care about any of the sisters, so probably wasn't gonna care for their respective love stories either.

Title Romance of a Twin Flower Spoiler
Dropped this at episode 18. I really loved the first 15 episodes or so, the mainleads have the cutest dynamic and there is hardly any miscommunication. The leads really nailed the comedy and had great banter. But then after he tells her her real identity I was so fed up with FL. Yes she's allowed to be mad he didn't tell her earlier, but she forgave him at the prison when she was framed and then he saved her life twice and she took care of him for days when he was recovering but then she just.. leaves? Without saying goodbye too and all smiling, it's like she doesn't even give a fuck about ML. And ML ends up like an idiot in love, chasing her and being rejected. I would get it if she had a reason to reject him at that point, but she literally doesn't as she's already forgiven him so she came across as a spoiled brat turning him down after everything he's done for her. I'm not really interested in watching ML be a simp and chasing the FL just to be turned down every time for no reason.

dropped this after the FL change. The first one is a natural beauty and classy, I couldn't get into the second one, she felt too young and plastic to me. They could've just kept the first one and tell us her face got changed by making the characters go like "wow she looks a lot like Cai Wei" like in a lot of these face swap dramas. Eternal love did the same with Susu and when she came back in the 3rd arc, forgot her name

Title The Glory Spoiler
Started skipping some scenes early on, but it was interesting enough to not drop it. Around episode 20 though it got really ridiculous, especially the "relationship" between the main leads. In episode 23 she reveals to him she only married him because of YET ANOTHER scheme and he chokes her and at this point the FL is so unlikable that I was like yes please choke her to death and end this tragedy. Somehow the guy doing the choking wasn't the bad guy in that scene, kinda impressive. The way she smirks while he chokes her like she's this amazing mastermind annoyed the hell out of me. If it wasn't for him marrying her she would be on the streets because she literally has no skill to survive on her own or she would be murdered by her own family. There was literally nothing left of their relationship by episode 23, just her being cold and obsessed with revenge. ML saved her life so many times, yet she acts like he's her worst enemy and he didn't even do anything unforgiving. She's become such a villain, I really hate that instead of making her a strong character they decided to do this.. Actually forcing ML to do something through an imperial edict, threatening to reveal his identity which could get his whole family killed and having the nerve to act smug about it. Man I wish he had choked her.

I was so excited to watch this, I love a good rebirth and revenge story but unfortunately ended up dropping this after episode 2. Maybe it's because it's only 24 episodes, but there is just too much happening in too little time that makes it feel rushed. It's hard to connect with the characters as they do a lot of narrating instead of showing the viewers. There is so much happening in just 2 episodes that you're not left with any breathing room to process it or in my case care about what's happening. I ended up fastforwarding in episode 1 already, which is never a good sign so I decided to drop. Also, I really liked the ML in generation to generation, but here he looks so skinny and pale idk if it's the makeup but it's not doing him any favors as he's usually very handsome

Title Love in Pavilion Spoiler
I was wondering why this drama was rated low, because I really enjoyed the beginning but actually found myself dropping it around episode 20. I'm not even sure what it was, but I found myself losing interest as the story went on and just wanted it to be over. Maybe it's cause of way too many side characters, so the story got stretched thin. Every damn character is gorgeous too, it felt like overkill whenever a new character would be introduced and it ended up being yet another gorgeous person. I was like omg just introduce a regular ass looking person, they can't all be so good looking. The FL was great in a Journey to Love but here she had zero emotions, to the point where I didn't see what ML saw in her except that she's beautiful. Her relationship with ML wasn't developed at all, they met like twice and all of a sudden they're in love and he would sacrifice his life for her? So I couldn't really get into the main leads relationship. I much preferred Yitan's relationship with Zui, they were so cute and because it was a slow burn it was developed much better. But reading how he's gonna be the one to kill her under mind control sounds way too tragic for me, so I'm not watching that lol. I was hoping they could change the future since they know what will happen, but the same thing ends up happening and I'm not in for yet another tragic drama where the evil guys have the upper hand the whole time. episode 20 is a good place to drop

Title New Life Begins Spoiler
I liked it in the beginning, but now at episode 10 I'm getting real annoyed with FL. You'd think she'd realise her feelings by now, but she is frustratingly oblivious. Even after they kiss, even after everyone tells her that it's love, even after he tells her he likes her and wants to make her his wife, even after all those romantic moments where she stares wide eyed which makes you believe she finally gets it, but she doesn't... she still talks about leaving all the time. As if she can find a better husband, he's sweet, smart, patient with her dumbass, good at martial arts, respects the fact she wants to leave, he's a prince and wants her as his only wife in a time where everyone has 20 concubines. The fuck does she want to happen before she finally accepts him? I read that she accepts his feelings at episode 11 but then asks for a divorce at 20 and wants to go home again, sorry but I don't have the patience for this shit as watching her be so oblivious when she obviously likes him is way too annoying

Title The Rise of Phoenixes Spoiler
The only reason I didn't drop this was for the main leads. The actors were amazing and their characters had such amazing chemistry just by looking at each other. You'd have them biting each other or holding their faces to one another and it'd be more intimate than a kiss lol. I haven't seen a relationship in a drama that was as fun, flirty, clever with lots of banter like theirs. Honestly one of my favorite couples in cdrama. Until episode 50 of course because jesus.. it's a crime what they did to their relationship. Their fun dynamic completely disappears in the last 20 episodes, Ning Yi's personality change gave me whiplash and all they did was cry and say good bye to each other like 10 times. I knew it was doomed from the start, but I wish they had given them more time to be together and that their separation was excecuted differently. I fastforwarded a lot during the last 20 episodes but even the interactions between the main leads didn't interest me anymore. They ruined them to the point that I was like yeah ok makes sense that she offed herself, I didn't even want them together anymore. I felt the most sad for Nan Yi, left without his family again. I had read that it goes off track around episode 50 and it sure does. I also found FL reason to kill herself pretty stupid, yes many people died for her but it was to protect her and she just let them die in vain by killing herself. Pretty ungrateful. And Ning Yi becoming a shell of his former self after becoming the emperor was a slap in the face. I would've much preferred it if he had become a commoner and they'd lived happy somewhere in seclusion, being grateful for all the people that protected them by giving their lives.

Title Eternal Love Spoiler
I loved this so much, it had me binging till 3 am. While the story isn't anything mindblowing, it kept me on the edge of my seat. The romance starts off as sweet and kinda boring as Susu doesn't really have a personality, but then becomes incredibly tragic when ML lets FL down by not protecting her from his evil family. This ends in him taking her actual eyes (this was so hard to watch, the way she backed away from him in fear and he still did it) to give to the horrible villain and eventually her suicide. He actually thought blinding her was the only way to protect her and that marrying her after that would make her happy? I cheered when she jumped off the platform, ML got what he deserved. Then after she comes back as a goddess she is so strong and untouchable, none of the schemes of that evil bitch can touch her and all the villains get their karma (except for ML's family unfortunately). Her taking back her eyes from that bitch was one of the highlights. Also ML telling that bitch that the only reason he kept her alive was because she had Susu's eyes and when he stabbed her on their wedding day was great. ML was really devoted and had to fight to make her love him again after being used to women obsessing over him at first sight. I love how he never wavers and also when he found out that his fiance was actually Susu was great, he was so happy and me too lol. The ending was kinda rushed but I would rate this 9/10 for how much enjoyment I got out of this. Also shout out to Mo Yuan, who loved her so selfishly and knew when to let her go. When he told her wait for me and she thought he meant he was speaking to the whole sect was so sad. Then he spends 70.000 years restoring his soul to come back to her and when he wants to confess again that it was just for her she once again says "yeah you did it for all of us" this girl can be really dumb. After he wakes up and finds out she's engaged to his brother and she sees him as a father figure breaks my heart. The way he looks at her with so much love and sadness! But I love a guy who knows when to let go and he only wanted the best for her and at the end he just smiled when he heard that she can finally get married when the ML came back to life. 9/10 I did skip all of the demon lord scenes and the romance between the emperor and the fox niece

Title Ashes of Love Spoiler
So when I started watching this I thought about dropping it like 20 times. The female lead was portrayed as a literal 5 year old child, I found it hard to watch as she was very annoying. She didn't know the difference between a man and a woman, yet they had her in romantic situations which made me feel uncomfortable and for some reason 2 princes fell in love with her childlike behavior. Also they fell in love with her so quickly, there wasn't any build up and as a slow burn lover I just didn't feel the depth of their connection or why they were even in love. I decided to just fast forward and stick around because I read that it would get better later on and I'm glad I did! Now it wasn't anything mindblowing, but I just really loved the main lead. He was willing to sacrifice the throne, his evil mother and his life for her. I like a ML that doesn't waver. They managed to establish somewhat of a deeper relationship between them in the mortal realm, their relationship was sweet and drama free and fun to watch. As they got to spend more time together it got easier to root for them and I felt like they connected on a deeper level there. Female lead stopped behaving like a child and luckily didn't regress for the rest of the series. I did skip all the side stories and mostly watched the main lead's scenes as I found a lot of the side characters boring and sometimes they would take up like 80% of an episode. I loved the arc where he was a demon and acting like he was over her, which he clearly wasn't. Though the hugging with the evil princess grossed me out, but by ML's expression and body language he was grossed out too lol. I loved how in the last episode ML cleared all the misunderstandings with his inner dialogue. I was like wtf when he called evil lady's name when he kissed FL drunkily, but turns out he was doing it on purpose to try not to fall for FL again and that he instantly regretted doing that once she leaves. Their kisses lacked chemistry, but the one on the bed after they're apart and he supposedly hates her was so passionate! The ending is also great, I love a good happy ending and they got everything that they wanted. Overall I would rate this an 8/10 cause while I did enjoy the romance, the side plots were pretty boring.

Title Immortal Samsara: Part 2 Spoiler
I just finished this one and man am I glad it's over. But I would still rate it 8.5/10 overall, hear me out. After Lost You Forever, I didn't expect to find another show I would love and hate at the same time. That was the first show that broke me, because she didn't end up with - in my eyes- the guy who loved her most and was her soulmate. It felt like such a waste of a good romance, same as in this one. Coincidentally it's the same actress in both dramas, she sure knows how to pick tragic scripts. So I absolutely loved this show for the first 35 episodes. Never have I seen such an incredible romance, the enemies-to-lovers trope, forbidden love, slowburn.. all of it was amazing. The ML is such a great actor, he was just oozing with yearning and love and it helps that he's absolutely gorgeous. I kinda respect her for being able to reject him so many times in the end, that's probably the most unrealistic part about this story because who could resist this guy lol. I skipped a lot of the side plots but the main story had me binging till 3 am.The falling in love part was so well developed that you could just feel that they truly loved each other and were soulmates. They have a lot of scenes together and get so much time to establish a bond that by the end of the first arc you're already convinced of their love for each other. Their characters go so well together that it's absolutely clear why they fell in love. In a lot of dramas they just fall in love randomly and got me wondering what they even like about each other, but in this one their love grew slowly and deep and it was really convincing. The sacrifices they had to make for each other and the punishments they got took the romance to a whole new level, I couldn't help but root for them to be together. Unfortunately a lot of tragic shit happened so they couldn't be together, but then they get another chance an fall in love again in the mortal realm. Once again, their relationship grew steadily and was very convincing. Going through life and death situations, spending months together 24/7, once again they bonded so well. The FL is also such a great character that I totally get why he fell in love. I loved their banter so much and even the tragic moments got me so invested cause it was all very romantic. I didn't even mind that they weren't actually together for 35 whole episodes, because watching their journey as they fell in love twice and spend so much time together, going through so much shit, slowly growing closer and closer was enough. But yeah, then episode 35 comes around... she gets her memory back and starts pushing him away. He finally chose her over duty and wasn't even the emperor anymore at that point, yet FL started to act cold towards him and rejected him several times. I had been waiting so long for him to make the right choice and when he finally does, the FL starts acting ridiculous. Which would've been fine if it lasted for a couple episodes, but she literally rejects him for the next 20 episodes. There isn't a point in the story where they're actually together, just a constant push and pull between them, which was so frustrating to watch. He literally died in the mortal realm and she couldn't tell him she loved him before he did and that was all he wanted to hear. I found it overly dramatic and tragic for the sake of angst. When they finally do decide to talk it out and clear the miscommunication and even kiss, it was already episode 57 and far too late in my eyes. The pay off was so minimal and came too late in the story that I didn't really care about them anymore. I fastforwarded the last 10 episodes because I was so done with it. This show could've been 20 episodes shorter easily, it got very repetitive and frustrating with the way FL was treating him. Yes, he made some mistakes in the beginning but he never meant to hurt her, he knew she'd have to face the love punishment if he had acknowledged their love and that she'd die so he lied to her. Which was his biggest mistake, he should've told her he loved her but that they couldn't be together. But other than this, he never hurt her. So her whole arc of hating him felt very out of nowhere, especially as she knew at that point that he was never gonna punish her, that he lied about not loving her and that he saved her at the crossing river. She had literally no reason to be that cold and angry with him. He decided that she was more important to him, which took him a while but it was not an easy choice. She decided that he should choose the 3 realms over them because protecting the world was more important than love, which fine, but why be so cold and cruel to him? I loved ML character development from rule following stoic deity to a man that chooses to live for himself and seeing her constantly hurt him and have to beg for her love felt very frustrating. It made me dislike the FL very much, to the point that I felt like she didn't deserve him anymore. I would still recommend this show for the first part, as I really think this is the best developed romance between two characters. I just felt their love and was rooting for them the whole time. Too bad they had to drag it out by repetitive tropes which took away from the beauty of their love, I can only watch ML getting rejected so many times before not caring anymore. So yeah, if you don't mind watching a beautifully built up romance that has a minimal pay off and they're never actually happily together, then I would recommend this. Also keep in mind that part 2 was not as good and super frustrating. I did watch the 2 special episodes, but it didn't feel canon to me and more like a cheesy cop out so to me the story ended at 59 with them presumably recarnating into the incense burner. That's how I interpreted it anyway. But yeah 10/10 for how the romance was established until episode 35, probably a 7 after episode 35. Had this been a 40 episode series, it could've easily been a 9.5, but it being 60 episodes long it was way too repetitive, frustrating and you never het the pay off you've been waiting for.

Best comment here What broke me was how she didnt know how much he did for her I cried my eyes out when he died…
yeah he really made the show worthwile! Would've dropped it honestly if it wasn't for him with how the FL was behaving after becoming the princess again. In the end he chose not to indulge in his feelings, and while tragic it was what he wanted and he went out happy for what they experienced and died in a heroic way. She did end up crying for him so that's enough for me to prove their love.

omg I can't with this show. They built up their romance so well and thoroughly. It's got regret, guilt, deep love, sacrifice, longing basically everything I'm looking for in a fictional love story. Never have I rooted more for a couple to be together. And then he finally chooses love over duty and confesses to her, something I've been waiting for him to do for 35 fucking episodes and she just.. rejects him?? And not by explaining to him that he will be the emperor again and probably choose duty again, no she tells him she will never love him. This is the most frustrating watch ever, at this point I'm starting to accept that they will never be happy or together. Smh

Title Immortal Samsara: Part 1 Spoiler
This show is absolutely amazing. If you're doubting if you should watch it, this is your sign! The main couple in this has the most tragic, romantic, frustrating, deepest love I've seen in any drama. It's filled with regret and confliction between love and duty, but that makes it so romantic. You've got the enemies to lovers trope, forbidden love and it's a slowburn, the love between them is excecuted very well. In some shows the main couple falls in love but it happens so quickly and without proper build up that you're left wondering why they love each other in the first place. In this one they build up their relationship so wonderfully, it makes sense with everything they went through and the people they are that they fell in love. You can't help but root for them, but it's so frustrating at the same time cause ML is very resolute on following his duty despite loving her very much. The way they got punished willingly multiple times just for falling in love is some of the most romantic shit I've seen. I'm only on episode 25 so I can't speak for the rest of the show, but so far I've barely fast forwarded any scenes besides some of the side characters. I'm now at the part where they're in the mortal world and met again, falling in love for the second time. Once again it's enemies to lovers and they're star crossed lovers, but their banter is so good and seeing them slowly get closer is such a joy. It's difficult to pull off falling in love in different life times, usually they main couple meets again and they're like "it's fate, they fell in love again at first sight, the end", but in this one they're establishing them falling in love again for the second time so well. Of course they're once again natural enemies, so it's probably gonna be tragic and frustrating again but I find their story so romantic that I can put up with that. Can't wait to watch the rest! The main actors are amazing btw, ML is showing such range from regret, grief, guilt, deep love etc. FL is great too, she's charming and plays a fun, carefree, kind character which is so loveable that it absolutely makes sense that the stoic emperor immortal fell in love for her. This is a 9/10 for me, I dropped like 20 shows before finding this and it has rewoken my love for cdramas.

After forwarding 10 episodes, I realized there isn't any plotline I'm looking forward to watching in this show, officially dropping this. I liked it when she was taking care of her blind ex, that was so romantic but then the chemistry was gone once he regained his eye sight. She has ok chemistry with ML, but I don't find their relationship interesting for some reason. I love the FL actress, I've watched like 4 or 5 of her shows and I think she's great at picking scripts and just so charming but even she couldn't save this show for me.

Title The Last Immortal Spoiler
I managed to finish this by fastforwarding through the whole thing. I liked the main leads in the beginning, they were so cute bickering all the time but still caring a lot about each other. Then they fall in love but of course they aren't allowed to be happy for longer than an episode so ML loses his affection threads and we get a couple of episodes where he doesn't remember their love. Ok fine, he will get his feelings back and everything will be fine right? Nope, time for the noble idiocy trope! ML decides to break up with her for the greater good and does so not by explaining that he loves her but they can't be together, no he breaks his own affection threads in front of her and says the most hurtful shit to "make her forget him". Man I hate this trope, never do they consider how hurtful this is for the other person and that doing so is only making sure that the other one will never forget them. So then ML saves FL life by giving up half of his god power and you'd think after almost losing her he'd get a wake up call, but no, he actually manages to accidentially kill her for shit she hasn't even done. Then they spend a 1000 years apart and when he finally finds her she comes back a different person and cold towards him. Which I understood, cause he was definitely an asshole towards her by killing her and calling her just a passerby. So after a few episodes of her ignoring him, he finally finds out she's indeed the person he's been looking for so maybe they're gonna be together at that point? Nope, she's still like a different person and cold towards him for a few episodes. Finally someone (not the ML) explains to FL how much he did for her and why things went down in the past and that he was just trying to protect her and accidentally killed her, which ML could've explained as soon as he found out she still had her memories from the past, yet he never did. Man I hate when they don't communicate. So then they have like 2 episodes where they're together before tragedy strikes again and ML turns out to be dying and he actually dies at one point. Luckily his soul was retained so he comes back after many years and we get like 3 seconds of their reunion where they're staring at each other from a distance and that's it. They were apart more than they were together, literally 3 episodes or so out of 40. They didn't even have time to establish why these two loved each other so much, it was tragedy after tragedy keeping them apart. Did not enjoy
