Wait, I don't understand what happened... 😶🌫️What do you mean all scenes were reshot?? 🤔He initially…
I will buy that wyx sabotaged CY, but I think he sabotaged both FL and ML here. There's no way LYT or anyone genuinely liking her can have ever read that script and thought she would in any way be enhanced by that arc. It ruins her character in every single way while denying her any chance to add even one single thing to the plot at all. She makes no meaningful contributions. She makes no decisions. Everything she does is a passive reaction to some event she had no control over, typically one showing poor judgement that achieves nothing, and at the end she oscillates like someone with selective amnesia between "I will build a happy city" and "I will never leave your side Fugui" while never being allowed to independently do anything except talk about how she would like to do either. Her actions are totally out of alignment with her words. I can't believe anyone would shoot themselves in the foot like this by choice. 100% respect CY if he indeed had any hand in Fugui not being butchered in the arc he's largely absent for, but I don't think the FL team could possibly have come up with an arc to make her character so totally unlikable and useless.
One thing's for sure though, and that's that I'm never watching anything by the crew who did this one again.
as far as I know, it's basically like instead of you paying for VIP access to the show yourself, some sponsor (eg. fans, brands, the channel) pays for a "seat" so that a casual viewer can watch VIP-restricted content without paying.
It started well. Just crashed midway. Even ratings aren't progressing.Heat index is now around 8000. Even two…
It’s probably not a coincidence if two dramas dropped and the ep count went from 2 to 1 if the heat index drops. (Tales of Tang Dynasty is S3 of a popular series I think?)
But yeah, it’s the screenwriter and producer’s fault for sure. I don’t even care that Rumu has been caught yet again by his dad who is yet again using him to kill people, I just want Fugui to find out because he’s the one guy who’s got a brain left in this and who I trust to fix this lol. Hopefully he keeps his brain and core character intact through to the end 😭
ever wonder what happened to the itsy bitsy spider when she gout out the water spout? she fell in love. this series…
imo TJOL is not a fair comparison, as it’s at least entertaining from start to end and picks up steam instead of losing it post 20 😅😅
As a player of RPGs some of the lampshading it did on stuff commonly done while RPGing were hilarious to me 😂
It had its faults (and a hilariously high number of outfit changes), but it had brilliant fight scenes and at least the core theme of the show carried through from start to end.
I don't mind no romance in this drama. I know people don't like this because of not having enough scene for the…
It’s not a waste of time but the plot does jump the shark and insert about 10 or 11 eps of filler between about 18-29 in which the main plot (and CY) is sidelined for either cute/comical scenes of the support romance leads or a creepy obsessive gaslighting of the FL by her (adopted) brother who’d like to be number one in her heart. Plot’s strong from 1-17 and is picking up again in ep31, and Fugui’s good throughout. It’s only disappointing that the middle arc exists because my expectations were so high after ep12 rather than that the show is terrible.)
Wait I don't think Hong Ye wants every demon dead? Or did I remember smth wrongly? I only remember him being very…
Yup. basically as far as I understand it, demons are deemed to be evil by definition by the YA, basically as the cultivation methods for demonic energy are mostly all fueled by hate, making them beings inherently suitable for strengthening the Black Fox.
(It indeed makes no sense, but their logic is also demons are very good at tricking people so if a bunch of mind control pills were sold in this town and used to assassinate a bunch of people, the YA will punish FG harshly for ceding land to them as they’re not willing to take his word they’re innocent.)
I don't think he's been neglecting him-- he's been more Jedi Mastering him, "there is no emotion, there is…
Erm, I’m not sure that’s true? If your primary priority is yourself then you’re going to be way more miserable in life than you need to be when you work out basically no one else’s priority is you. (Look how miserable QJT & QC is 🥶) If your priority is the world you’ll be a lot more content and happy in life.
Hong Ye should be died while fighting Quan Jing Ting or protecting Fu Gui. After neglecting his son for 20 years,…
I don't think he's been neglecting him-- he's been more Jedi Mastering him, "there is no emotion, there is peace; there is no ignorance, there is knowledge; there is no chaos, there is harmony; there is no hate, there is the Way" << and making sure he is attached to nothing to perfect him in that path. It reads neglect as he hasn't let him form meaningful attachments with anyone ever so Fugui is desperately lonely, but it's goal is basically to mean he's #1 in judgement and swordsmanship, so more like training classes. I'm glad he got a peaceful death, Fugui didn't need the angst of a terrible death for his dad in his life.
QJT is but I don't mind him anymore, QC has so thoroughly lowered my bar that I am happy to see a villain who can act who has simple goals like power and world destruction.
What does sword heart mean? Sorry i didn’t watch LIP so i don’t understand.
I don't think Fugui became HY's sword heart, more Fugui is the reason for HY rediscovering his own Sword Heart again was what I got out of it. Cuz thanks to Fugui, HY remembered his ultimate desire was to protect the world rather than just kill enemies again, thus ultimately love not hate is his true Sword Heart.
Hi guys! Please does anyone remember the name of this Chinese historical drama. A newly wedded lady was framed…
Google is offering me these two?
"The Emperor's Romance": The drama is based on a web novel by Qian Shan Cha Ke. The plot involves a protagonist who is married into a powerful family, framed, and banished. She later returns with her son to seek medicine. The drama stars Zhou Ye and Cheng Lei, and its production company is Tencent Video.
"Rainkissed Fate": This is another Chinese drama that has a plotline involving a woman returning after being framed and sent away by her husband's family. While a full plot summary is not available, the title suggests it might be the drama you are looking for.
Wait I don't think Hong Ye wants every demon dead? Or did I remember smth wrongly? I only remember him being very…
Yup, though it's more like humans saying demons can't enter their territory or they need to die, but also that demons killing humans in demon territory is totally immoral and shows they suck so it's fine to send humans across the border to deal with them? He's just got double standards and super racist those first 12 eps, and then does a magical U-turn and forgets he ever hated them at all, lol. Likely started questioning his life choices when Demon!Fugui was like, "Do I also need to die [as a demon in your Alliance Territory], Father?" And Hongye probably realised then how crappy it was to kill demons for no other reason than that they happened to have crossed your border and be demons when they haven't actually done anything wrong.
Wait I don't think Hong Ye wants every demon dead? Or did I remember smth wrongly? I only remember him being very…
Basically in Eps 1-12 he was saying any who came into Yiqi Alliance territory needed to die, that was the basis of wanting to kill Qingtong in ep12-- that she was a demon, and was in their territory, in and of itself a death sentence, same with Lady Feng trying to stab her the first time she broke in.
So he won't invade neibouring territories to kill them unlike his sucky bro/cousin but he was saying they all sucked and need to die if they're in his.
(aka good grief the story was not it is so right.)
One thing's for sure though, and that's that I'm never watching anything by the crew who did this one again.
I could misunderstand tho.

(note I have not verified either at all)

Was what I remember.
