Have you ever seen someone buy expensive and delicious ingredients for creating a certain dish or style of food,…
Or that time you go to a restaurant and order a steak because you want a steak and it looks nice on the menu, but you end up with some raw sashimi because the chef is capable of cooking just fine but is pretty sure you didnāt actually want that steak you ordered, youāll love his sashimi way more š¤£š
Hi i have a question i want to start this one but do i need to watch love in pavilion first or no?
Youāre okay not watching it, I havenāt either and this series is good as a standalone, thereās flashbacks to the relevant parts where theyāre relevant ā
Sharing my thoughts here on this question:1) In Ep5, she declared she would stay forever with Fugui to repay him…
š Except that QCās only just attained human form (we saw how much she struggled to even walk), has been given a vague direction āgo eastā but no food or change of clothing, just some money, and QC barely even understands how money works (his uncertainty when paying initially could easily have been exploited by crueler people). He is also being targeted by Madam Yin just like she is. She has no reason to think he even made it safely to the village at all, yet she never checks up on him or thinks of him in a voiceover or even sends a butterfly letter at all, her attention is only for Fugui till her kidnap by QC; thereās no space or anything missing from her life with QCās absence. Not saying they canāt be close, Iām sure itās just bad writing, but more why itās jarring to me as a viewer; her actions donāt really align with her words.
Agree. The romance story for the other 2 couples are way better. How could the writer did so badly for the main…
I'm not saying there's no hope they'll overcome it-- just that I think that if they do, it will be gentle thawing; just like she initially helped him to see that life doesn't need to be so cold when he was lonely at the start and showed him how you can enjoy the little things despite pain, he is showing her that now since she's the one who's lonely and depressed now her abusive bro is gone since her abusive bro occupied all her free time and didn't let her see other people or make other friends. With this writer I don't know but realistically I think she will need time herself to move past her grief and thaw and like herself again before she can just enter into romance.

I think there's meant to be a chasm, and it's understandable there is a wall between them. Her brother's just died by suicide and she's just realizing that he's been killing people behind her back for months and trying to help destroy the world. She probably genuinely isn't feeling anything positive inside right now at all.
sooooo in order to defeat the black fox they need:_ Purest sun flame and Wangquan sword (Fugui)_ water orb (Yunfei)_…
Go kill ur evil dad Rumu! AND FINISH HIM THIS TIME!!! (That's directed at Fugui as the only one here who reliably can be trusted to try and do this.)
Missed opportunity for the writer tho throwing the Mguffin in at this point so randomly tho.
The earlier arcs might have actually felt meaningful if we'd been told back when Fugui left or smth that these were the things they needed to gather together to defeat Black Fox, and rather than randomly stumbling across them all they could have actively been trying to and happening to already have them all to hand by the time we learn we need them.
I can't with her either, "what if we're always destined to lose the closest one to us?"/"QC, I'm achieving…
Yup. Writer's fault, not the actress, especially given the dub is a voiceover and not even her saying it and solely the director/producer's choice, but QT's thoughts right now aren't relatable to me at all.
why everyone is acting like itās weird that qingtong misses her brother. just cuz they didnāt show many scenes…
Sharing my thoughts here on this question: 1) In Ep5, she declared she would stay forever with Fugui to repay him for turning her into a human, only remembering baby bro when she was sent 2 of his legs. 2) In Ep13, she spent 2 months nursing Fugui, and then a happy lantern festival with him, during which she never wrote to her brother or invited him to come live with her or showed any sign of remembering his existence at all. 3) She showed wariness and fear when she was first trapped by him in the city, her inner monologue saying 'He's pretending to be kind to me, but in reality I'm trapped here. Something's wrong. I must find Fugui soon.' And tried to escape several times, showing frustration and fear (at the start) when she couldn't.
^Somehow, within the space of some eps, during which she found out Baby Bro was willingly welcoming the Black Fox's power, was sucking out demon cores to gain power, was controlling her body with talismans and touching her without her consent, was telling her she belongs to him and he's the only one she's allowed to depend on and need, was lying to her, was framing her for killing whole families by slaughtering said families himself, and threatening self-harm if she didn't obey him, and was quite literally stooping to murder to be the only one in her life she's allowed to hang out with and be with:
"QC, we're building a happy city together." *misty eyes* << this is her memory of him. "What's the point of cultivating if we lose those dearest to us?" << this is her thoughts too.
So for me, it's because the writing doesn't fit. Before he trapped her she barely thought of him, when they're dying isn't the only time you remember someone and want to hang out with them if you're close to them, and after he did he was a controlling, abusive jerk. I can't see how these fond remembrances of him came to be in existence now.
^^just my thoughts as to why I don't get it and find it weird.
I can't with her either, "what if we're always destined to lose the closest one to us?"/"QC, I'm achieving…
Itās early in his creeper arc after he lies about Fugui being dead and she becomes governor, she says lets build a town that doesnāt suck but itās only ever her dream not his. For her to say theyāre achieving it posthumously together is just š„“
Laughed at the little kid saying "can't cry or my blood red tears will betray me" *proceeds to leak normal tears* lol. (or maybe I misunderstood that bit o.o) He was cute though, love Fugui boring him to sleep with sword techniques. Also like how casually Fugui just trusts QT to have the 10HP goons while checking on the health of the kid.
WTH QT missing QC! I'm convinced, she also secretly love her brother! Im so done w this stupid FL! Im sorry, i…
I can't with her either, "what if we're always destined to lose the closest one to us?"/"QC, I'm achieving our dream to build a happy city for all people together" my foot, lol. He spent his free time sucking out demon cores, murdering humans, and outright told her he didn't want a peaceful city and hated absolutely everyone of every race except himself and her.
I'm trying to pretend he never happened but she's making it hard ;-;
why would people bother watching a show for songs?
I can semi get it, songs won't make me stay if I'm not enjoying, but a good song can definitely turn whatever is happening at any given moment into epic for me. Those ones from LiP never fail to elevate a scene when they show up.
^this. QT is calling herself a governor. She should spend some time actually governing.
