What did I just watch!? I'm so confused. It was steamy but not quite. It was romantic but not quite. It was funny but not quite. All I feel....is that it left me feel disatisfied at the end. There was potential. But it got lost somewhere. Loved the leads tho. A luke warm 7.5.

Not the most perfect BL drama....but I really liked it. First of all, whoever decided to cast Daou as San....someone give this casting director a fat bonus. What a brilliant star! I can't wait to see his future projects. Was the story predictable? Yes. Was the story silly at times? Yes. Was the writing weak in some places? Yes. But did I enjoy? Absolutely. The whole setup was somehow very refreshing. I'm so tired of seeing school-college first love romcom trope or even action trope. There are not many good fantasy Bl shows out there, so this one's definitely engaging. The ost is enchanting and on my Spotify repeat. The actors did a grt job. The cast was promising. Just a very good effort I'd say. A deserving 8.5 from me.

Post ep 15-16 the plot picks up. Their enemy episodes are a little angsty....as they gradually realise the truth about each other. So understandably tensions flare. But even in all of that they don't actively sabotage each other or join enemy forces to bring each other down. On the contrary, they still hold a soft corner for each other because of their past. It's just that the FL gets deeply hurt by his lies and walks away from him. And then he tries to win her back. They get together eventually, and their sweet reunion and more stronger love in the later episodes makes all that angst worth it.

If you want to cure your trauma of C-drama tragedies, then I suggest you to watch it. The first few eps are a little slow and can give you the illusion that it's a slice of life. But post 15 ep, the story picks momentum and the layered plot starts rolling. Many did not like the slow start, but personally I felt it was necessary. It lays an imp foundation for the upcoming eps. Ofc, the show could've been squeezed in 30 eps but oh well that's how xinxia/Wuxia shows work. Wang Chu Ran is an absolute goddess. And she's a great actress. Can't wait for her to rise even more. Zhang Wan Yi was the suprise for me. This was my first show of his, and oh my god.....what a naturally gifted actor. His ability to showcase his acting chops in all kinds of scenes is a testament of his raw talent. I'll def be following his future projects. Together, they had brilliant chemistry. They nailed the husband-wife aura. I don't know how but they did. I can see why c-netizens have been so in awe of them and view them married 😅 Something very domestic about them. All in all its a great show and you should definitely watch at least once. Also, a massive shoutout to the emperor and the empress. I loved these two cuties. And was very happy for their blooming love. All in all, a deserving 8.5 from me 😊

I've to start ep 20. Not been able to. This is the painful angsty arc of the story. Gotta soldier it somehow cos I don't want to drop such a promising show 😫

I fail to understand the hype for this one. It had a lot of potential but it fell short. Both the characters frustrated me on different levels. It was a sweet meh watch. The actor who played Takara was very charming and both the actors did a decent job. I wish they spent more time at building the warmth in their romance. They lacked chemistry because of half baked writing. Gave a generous 8.

Why is this so underrated!? And why is Takara no vidro rated more than this? I don't understand ratings on mdl at time. This one's SO MUCH better. Both the characters are extremely likeable, both the actors did a grt job esp the actor who played Mamiya, the characters had great chemistry, their romance had the right amount of fluff, angst and steamyness, the story was nothing new but executed very well, the narration was fast paced, they communicated well and I can go on. I'm not saying it's the best invention since slice bread but it's sooo much better than a lot of ongoing bl shows, not jst JBL. A deserving 9. This one has great rewatch value.

This one has raised the benchmark for Korean bls really high. One of the most deserving ratings on this website....8.5. Ofc like everyone else I would love to see a post Unintentional Love arc for them. But despite a positive implying open ending....I have no complaints. I'm usually not a fan of open endings. But the makers did such a darn good job of executing the angst, the sexual tension, the romance, the heartache and the sweetness between the two main leads....that I as a viewer was left satisfied by the end of it. Gave it a stellar 9. Time to rewatch UL now 😂

This is the OG. paved the way for other Kbls. one of my all time favs. The tension, the angst, the yearning the love....it was all executed so well in such a short time frame. Going to watch it again for the 5th time.

He had only one expression throughout the series to be honest. He's a very weak actor.

I'm on ep 6....and tharn is seriously getting on my nerves. Also, Babe is a weak actor. So a frustrating character meets a below average actor works against this series. But because the story is so unique & Billy is absolutely charming....I refuse to drop this.

Just came to see if it has a happy ending...got my answer. Now off to binge one of the most hyped show these days. Wish me luck ✌️🫡

Soooooo after much pressure by the online discourse on the show I've hesitantly began watching it. 40 eps for a modern c drama is ALOT. So really hope it doesn't get boring, I'm able to finish it, I don't drop it and it views well. I love the actors but let's see if the story is good and makes sense. Haven't read the novel so jumping in blind. Wish me luck 🤞

I'm okay with forgiving. But do they cheat on each other ? or something like that ? Did they make such big mistakes ? I was waiting for the show to finish so that I can binge. But I've seen mixed response. So I'm confused 🤔
